Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 890: Chapter 889: Kuzan, Save Me!

Due to being plundered too many times, the average bounty in the East Sea is only three million Belly.

A bounty of three million Belly means that the wanted criminal doesn’t possess any special abilities. At most, they have a bit more strength, but most of their power relies on external tools, typically cannons or armor.

Their bodies haven’t been trained much, and they don’t have very strong techniques. With an opportunity, an ordinary soldier could kill them with a single shot. Against enemies like this, sheer numbers often work wonders.

These are the most common enemies faced by the East Sea Navy. Forget those with bounties over a hundred million; they have to carefully consider even pirates with bounties over ten million before acting. Otherwise, Krieg wouldn’t have been able to run rampant in the East Sea for so long.

million and 350 million, the bounties of these two have exceeded the East Sea’s average by a hundred times. Unless equipped with experimental weapons like the Blazing Angels, conventional weaponry has long lost its effect.

”What do you look so panicked for? Are you scared already? I’ll send you to a deserted island!”

Looking at the fallen soldier, a trace of disdain appeared on Nelson’s chubby face.

”As a member of the Nelson Fleet, how can you...how can you...”

With a clang, Nelson fell from his seat. His overly plump belly caused him to lose balance, and he couldn’t get up for a while.

Just now, the wanted poster that fell on the deck was lifted by the sea breeze. Out of the corner of his eye, he caught sight of the amounts on Ulti and Page One’s wanted posters, and those nine-digit figures choked him up.

With great effort, the corpulent Nelson moved on the deck and finally got hold of the two wanted posters.

”Hundred...billion...”

His fat trembled slightly, sweat pouring from Nelson’s face, quickly collecting into a pool beneath him. It seemed like there was more than just sweat mixed in.

”Tsk...disgusting. Little Pei, you handle this guy. These local navies are indeed a bunch of useless fools.”

”Weren’t you quite excited just now? Why don’t you want to move now?”

”I’m a girl, okay? Would you really let your cute sister deal with something so dirty?”

”Yes, I’m fine with it, and I don’t think you’d care about such things.”

Ulti, who primarily engages in close-combat, is often covered in blood; at such times, she doesn’t care about this sort of thing. Moreover, Page One is already immune to Ulti’s whining, and that tone doesn’t sway him at all.

It was at this moment that Nelson suddenly started laughing crazily, leaving Ulti and Page One bewildered.

”Little Pei, it’s your fault. You scared this guy crazy.”

”No, I think it’s because of your giant hammer, sis...”

”Hahaha! You pirates are finished! You guys are doomed!! You have no idea what you’re up against!”

In that moment, Nelson felt like he had an epiphany. This must be a scheme by the Navy Headquarters. The reason Admiral Aokiji appeared here must be to capture these pirates with bounties over a hundred million.

Only such high-level pirates would make a Headquarter Admiral act. This perfectly explains why Aokiji is here.

Yes, up till now, Nelson still believed that this sea-freezing technique was Kuzan’s Ice Age, rather than Yamato’s Frozen World.

Yamato hadn’t used this move much in past battles, and Nelson, who lacked understanding of the New World pirates, instinctively associated it with Kuzan’s ability.

”You’ll spend your lives in Impel Down! My promotion to Admiral is just around the corner!! Hahaha!”

In this brief moment, Nelson, trapped by fear, thought he saw hope. If this was Kuzan’s plan, Kuzan would never abandon him as bait because of his nature.

With his merit in luring the enemy, he would surely be promoted later. Those Thousand-Year Dragons would likely not escape either, making both the Dragon Bone and his status easily obtainable.

”He really is crazy. Is the East Sea’s Navy so easily scared?”

Twisting her wrist, Ulti swung her hammer. Although she didn’t want to fight such a strange opponent, Nelson’s rampant laughter annoyed her even more.

However, before she could throw her hammer, Nelson was hit by another attack.

BOOM!

With a huge roar, the spot where Nelson stood became a massive hole. The entire warship was pierced through, and Ferren appeared before them.

As death loomed, Nelson never accepted reality, still immersed in his beautiful fantasies, dreaming of immortality and promotion.

”Sorry to interrupt, Dragon Island is about to appear. I just dealt with this inconvenience first, hope you don’t mind?”

”No problem, it’s good you got rid of such filth. Little Pei, go see what it’s like below. Just thinking about it is disgusting.”

Blood was dripping from Ferren’s feet, obviously not his own blood. Being a Thousand-Year Dragon himself, Ferren had no interest in human attire, and that strike pierced right through the deck. As for Nelson’s untrained body, it was even less worth mentioning.

One could easily guess the state of affairs beneath the deck from the blood-red claw marks Ferren left.

”I don’t want to see it either, might as well blow it up directly.”

BOOM!

The main ship’s ammunition depot of the Nelson Fleet was ignited by flames, the massive detonation destroying the main ship and obliterating the will to resist of the nearby Navy. Facing the air raid by the Thousand-Year Dragons, the remaining Navy had already begun their retreat on the icy surface.

Ulti and Page One didn’t have any intention to pursue; such enemies hardly piqued their interest. Moreover, their mission was not to annihilate these Navies.

Where these Navies could escape was their own concern. To hunt the Thousand-Year Dragon, the entire eighth branch was mobilized, but Ulti and Page One’s surprise attack destroyed their fleet’s defense line within minutes.

Nelson, as the commanding officer, was also killed instantly, leaving no chance to issue effective commands, causing the other Navy personnel to have no idea what was happening in these waters.

If they wanted intel, they’d have to at least wait until the routed troops reached safety. Even with a Radio Snail, they had no mind to report anything now, what with dangerous beings still looming in the sky.

The Thousand-Year Dragons in the sky had no intention of sparing them, continuing their assault. Sharp stone blades formed in their mouths, turning into the deadliest weapons.

After pursuing for some distance, the Thousand-Year Dragons returned here. They didn’t land but instead hovered overhead, with Ferren joining them, awaiting Dragon Island’s emergence.𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚
