Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 875: Chapter 874: It Seems Reasonable for Kaidou’s Kid to Do This Kind of Thing

The whole point of arguing is for the other person to respond, but facing someone like Yamato, who always treats her as a friend with a smile no matter what she says, Ulti has given up arguing with her. She’s convinced that Yamato is filled with thoughts of knocking out Kaidou and then becoming independent.

In her single-mindedness, even Arceus might not be able to change her mind.

”Hey Peji~ why are you flying so far away?”

”Huh? The wind’s too strong, big sis, what did you say? I can’t hear you clearly!”

Even though he said he couldn’t hear, Page One subtly adjusted his flight direction, and it was clear that he was moving farther away from the Corviknight taxi.

It’s just that some things can’t be avoided.

Inside the Corviknight taxi’s cabin, there was a prominent sign that read ”Do not open the door at high altitude.” People with even a little sense would know that opening the door at high altitude is dangerous.

However, every rule exists for a reason; there have even been bloody lessons learned. For the sake of its reputation, Hundred Beasts later added the warning inside the cabin.

Of course, Ulti and Yamato’s strength allows them to ignore this message.

”Hey, I’m opening the door, make sure you keep an eye on your Pokémon.”

Apart from them, there was also a Blissey and a Miltank in the cabin. Among these Pokémon, some have an adventurous nature, so they followed Yamato out like they were on a sightseeing trip.

And indeed, this was the case. Unless they ran into Garp on a family visit, the few of them could strut around the East Sea without facing any danger.

”Hmm? Ulti-chan, are you planning something?”

”...Don’t call me that, it’s making my skin crawl. Just keep an eye on them!”

Seeing Yamato fasten them with seatbelts, Ulti felt reassured, opened the door, and jumped out, enjoying a moment of free fall, while Page One felt a weight on his back.

During the free fall, she used Moonwalk to maneuver a short distance and landed smoothly on Page One’s back.

”Alright, Peji, now we can fly together.”

...

Once the initial excitement wore off, the sky journey became dull, and facing Ulti getting closer, Page One eventually returned to the cabin after flying a while. With Miltank and Blissey, they gathered a table for board games.

In the end, even Rotom was brought out to increase the number, and during this, they displayed the chat contents of the Hundred Beasts’ young high-level officials group.

”Why does it feel like... Brother Jack’s schedule is more fulfilling than ours?”

The members of the group occasionally updated their status; Maria’s updates were mostly about Wano Kuni. After causing a ruckus with Yamato, mostly all they saw was the blue sky and white clouds.

Every few days, these Thousand-Year Dragons would stop at some special Little Sky Islands for a short rest before continuing on.

The newly born Thousand-Year Dragons in these herds had never traveled this path before but followed their predecessors’ lead in silent flight, only occasionally stopping at islands close to the ground for supplies.

As a result, Yamato and the others’ activities weren’t very exciting. Still, Page One did update a scene of catching a sky fish, while Jack’s life was much busier—battle, battle, and more battle, almost always heading towards ships.

”Soon, soon. We’ve been out here a long time, so we should reach the East Sea soon. There should be a lot of interesting things there, right? But Ferren, are you sure about this route?”

”This is the route my father guided us through. I don’t know. He said two thousand years ago, before I was born, my grandfather took this route.”

”You all remember so well...”

Listening to that exaggerated timeline, Yamato looked surprised, though she didn’t dwell on it.

”It’s a special day for us Thousand-Year Dragons too. Returning brings new life and also farewells.

Our herd doesn’t have any, but other herds... quite a few Thousand-Year Dragons might pass away. It’s not only a place of birth but also the final resting place for most Thousand-Year Dragons.”

...

Sometime later, the day of Dragon Island’s resurfacing drew nearer.

Ferren’s Thousand-Year Dragon herd had been flying along the Grand Line all this time, completing a large circuit before changing direction.

And it was at this point that they encountered a new situation.

”Big sis, Yamato sis, look down there, those people seem to be chased by something.”

Following Page One’s pointing finger, a dense row of black shadows appeared in their view, and upon magnification through the telescope, it was actually a fleet with a Pirate Flag fluttering in the wind.

”We must be close to the East Sea by now, and yet there’s still a pirate fleet this large.”

”But behind them is... who was it again, I definitely saw him in the intel, but I can’t recall.”

Yamato quickly focused behind. A small coffin-like boat was drifting with the waves, and the fleet ahead was being chased by him alone.

”The Seven Warlords of the Sea, Hawkeye-Dracule Mihawk, don’t you remember such a recognizable guy?”

”I remember! It’s just that I didn’t recall it for a moment, and who made his name so long anyway.”

Amidst the banter, Corviknight dodged to the side, and the neighboring clouds were split apart by an invisible force.

Meanwhile, the sea surface below was cut by a crack, and a pirate ship was split in two; the force that affected the clouds was the aftermath of Hawkeye’s sword swing.

It wasn’t a big deal, but the long and tedious journey was making Yamato bored. At this point, the bloodline from Kaidou seemed to have awakened within her, sparking interest in Hawkeye below.

”Peji, Ulti, let’s go down and have some fun. I happen to want to see what the strengths of the Seven Warlords are like, and I’ve heard there are big differences among them. Father’s defeated subordinate was also a Warlord.”

”Yamato sis, what do you want to do?”

”Go down and fight that guy. He looks pretty strong.”

Ulti and Page One exchanged glances. If it were Kaidou doing this, they wouldn’t doubt it, as that was entirely Kaidou’s nature. But Yamato...

”Genes really are hereditary. Are you awakening Captain Kaidou’s strange hobby?”

”No, I’m just trying to keep myself from getting rusty. When we go back, that jerk of a father will surely swing his club at me, so I need to stay in good shape.

Corviknight! You and Ferren wait for us up there; I’ll handle it quickly.”

With that, just like Ulti before, she opened the cabin door and jumped down. During her descent, the Power of Thunder constructed a pair of very special wings on her shoulders.
