Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 877: Chapter 876: Hawkeye’s Method of Travel, the Trusted Hercules Beetle

Ulti skillfully jumped onto Page One’s shoulder, and Page One also transformed into the form of Garchomp in the process. Their coordination was extremely seamless, as if they had practiced many times.

Through practice, Page One’s flying ability became increasingly proficient. Initially, he needed to climb to a higher place and then jump, but now he has mastered the technique of launching himself into flight.

”Sis, take it easy; don’t fall into the sea.”

”Little Page~ have you finally learned to care about your sister?”

”No, it’s just that if you actually fall, fishing you out would be quite troublesome.”

”Damn it! Since you’ve grown up, you’re not cute at all. Turn back into the kid you used to be!”

Amidst the playful banter, the siblings approached the two pirate ships left behind by the Klick Pirates. They seemed quite carefree, as the pirates here didn’t interest them at all.

The worn-out weapons on the ship suggest that this group of pirates isn’t of high quality. Ulti and Page One’s entry was nothing short of a massacre; the pirates didn’t even have the ability to break through their defense.

Compared to them, the battle between Yamato and Hawkeye was the real focus.

”Alright, now no one will disturb us anymore. This is my trusted Jian. I’ve heard from those samurai that facing a worthy swordsman in battle requires announcing the weapon’s name.”

”Black Blade, Yoru.”

Hawkeye responded, then made a gesture of wielding his sword.

”Although I don’t know why you appear here, you must have your reasons, right?”

”More or less, is there a problem?”

”I also have some personal matters to handle. Though the cause is boredom, some things can’t be abandoned halfway. Then let’s make it a fast fight. How about using the time your companions finish their battle as the benchmark?”

”Alright, let’s do it.”

Yamato just wanted to maintain her form to avoid being caught off guard when she returned home. She didn’t intend to fight Hawkeye to the bitter end, so she gladly accepted the suggestion.

...

One flying slash after another shot out from the blade of Hawkeye’s sword. Compared to the flying slashes aimed at Krieg, Mihawk was now more focused and not merely swinging his sword casually. Although the opponent in front of him wasn’t a swordsman, he still deserved attention.

At the same time, lightning wrapped around Yamato’s Wolf Fang Club. A swordsman can use Haki to nourish a Black Blade, enhancing the blade’s hardness. After Yamato finalized her weapon’s shape, she also nourished her weapon with her Haki.

Jian 7.0 is a weapon that inherits the will of previous Jians, coupled with its special materials and forging techniques, its quality is on par with that of any famed sword. Due to its characteristics, it holds advantages against sharp blades in combat.

”Thundering Hakken!”

Hawkeye’s techniques generally have no names; Kaidou’s ordinary attacks are usually referred to as Thundering Hakken. Yamato’s Thundering Hakken is inherited from Kaidou, and neither intended to risk their lives; the battle instead displayed the scenario of ordinary attacks complementing each other.

After blocking Yamato’s swing, Hawkeye smoothly spun his wrist, redirecting Yamato’s force with a clever move. Confronting such heavy weaponry and the added strength of a Zoan-type Ability User head-on wouldn’t be wise. Facing the direct confrontation, he wouldn’t gain any advantage.

Without much probing, after several simple exchanges, the battle escalated into fever pitch, albeit only for a short duration. Krieg’s leftover, forcibly ”holding the rear,” two ships were no match for Ulti and Page One.

At that time, on those two ships, Ulti and Page One were like heavy tanks storming into a medieval formation; their massive figures needed only simple collisions to defeat opponents.

The enemy’s attacks couldn’t penetrate their scale armor and would instead scratch against their scales.

”So weak, how did these guys even enter the Grand Line?”

”I don’t know. Even people from the Four Seas should have some understanding of ability users, right? These guys seem to have never even heard of the fruit.”

Casually tossing an enemy aside, Page One spewed flames at the wooden ship nearby and amidst the explosion of shells, returned with Ulti to the Iceberg where Yamato and Hawkeye were fighting.

...

Their return also marked the end of the battle between Hawkeye and Yamato. However, Hawkeye did not return to his small boat but silently stood on the iceberg.

”Isn’t it over? Why are you still here?”

”I’ll naturally leave in a while; you can do whatever you need to do.”

”Truly an eccentric person, but it seems not much of a problem.”

She knew quite a few Seven Warlords of the Sea. Based on her knowledge, one loves daydreaming, one always wears a fake smile, hiding his eyes behind sunglasses, another is too serious, performing tasks in a methodical manner.

Now, Hawkeye’s abnormal behavior was no big deal.

After Yamato and her group left, Hawkeye didn’t move rashly. Only after confirming they were far away did he get back onto his coffin ship, continuing his pursuit.

But after departing, Yamato also realized a problem belatedly.

”Wasn’t there a period without sea wind earlier?”

”Yes, why?”

”I noticed he was alone and didn’t have oars. That small boat can’t withstand any storm. How exactly does he sail it to chase others? When there’s no wind, surely he doesn’t rely solely on drifting?”

Yamato’s question stumped the siblings and sparked a series of discussions, eventually questioning Uta who was preparing for a performance.

Given the rumors that Hawkeye often communicated with Red Hair, perhaps Red Hair knew this secret.

Unfortunately, Shanks refused to reveal anything about Hawkeye’s mode of transport.

Hawkeye continued chasing Krieg while Yamato reunited with the Thousand-Year Dragon’s tribe, awaiting the moment to head towards Dragon Island.

However, some time ago, something occurred in the East Sea.

...

East Sea, Windmill Village, on an ordinary small boat, Luffy and his Heracross were already prepared for departure, marking the formal beginning of his adventure.

Having bid farewell to Dadan, Luffy, just like Ace three years ago, reached the port and boarded the small boat he had prepared.

”Stay safe, if the ship sinks, make sure to protect him.”

”Yeah, the boat looks like it won’t last long, and he doesn’t want to use my old fishing boat, it’ll be all up to you then.”

Before leaving, the residents of Windmill Village were seeing off Luffy, imparting some advice, albeit sounding slightly ominous.

”I know, I know, I’ll take good care of it.”

”Don’t be too arrogant, Luffy; we’re not talking to you. We’re talking to Hera—Hera, going out is tough, take care of this guy for us.”
