Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 889: Chapter 888: The Turbulent and Explosive East Sea

Kuzan might at most throw him in jail, but Yamato and the others would directly send him to the bottom of the sea.

However, greed soon took over Nelson’s heart, as he saw the Thousand-Year Dragons. Aside from the dragon elder lying weakly on the cart, the sight of the flying Dragon Race in the sky filled his face with covetousness, making the fat on his body tremble with desire.

”Hehe, dragon bones, so many dragon bones...”

The fat on his body didn’t appear out of nowhere; it was nourished through years of corruption under the identity of the Eighth Branch Admiral. As he indulged in things ordinary people couldn’t enjoy, his obsession with longevity grew.

The dragon bones of the Thousand-Year Dragons became his target. Seeing so many dragons, the desire burned fiercely within him.

”Fire! Shoot down all those Thousand-Year Dragons! It doesn’t matter if they’re dead; as long as there are dragon bones, it’s enough!”

As long as handled properly, bones can be preserved for a long time. To Nelson, who only cared for dragon bones, the life or death of the Thousand-Year Dragons was irrelevant.

Before Erik was dealt with by Ferren, Nelson received his message, so he brought his entire branch fleet and surrounded them. These warships were not the large warships that the Navy Headquarters used to execute a Buster Call, but rather the ordinary small warships of the Four Seas Branch.

Nelson linked all the warships together with iron chains, forming an iron-lock defense line. However, due to Yamato’s Frozen World, the area was completely frozen, trapping the warships on the ice. They could only adjust their cannons to fire.

”Oh, aren’t these the same navy from before? They really are here for the Thousand-Year Dragons.”

”Isn’t it obvious? But these guys... are so annoying. Can I sink those ships?”

After kicking away an incoming cannonball, Ulti looked at the warships with displeasure. She had been idle for a while and was itching for a fight. To her, these navy soldiers were just conveniently delivered punching bags.

”Go ahead; after all, they are hunting the Thousand-Year Dragons. They’re enemies anyway.”

”Hold back your Supreme King Haki; these guys can’t withstand it. If you take them all out, there’ll be nothing left to play with.”

Supreme King Haki has always been a great tool for clearing out weaklings. Mere numbers mean nothing against the possessor of Supreme King Haki.

Due to the trial in Dragon Space enhancing the strength of Supreme King Haki, the East Sea Navy, on average, stood no chance of avoiding annihilation.

”No need to worry about that. There will be more opportunities for you to fight later. If worst comes to worst, once we return to Ghost Island, I’ll have my father spar with you...”

”Shut up!! Who wants to spar with that idiot of a father of yours! You can endure that yourself. Page, you take the left, I’ll take the right, let’s see who takes down more.”

Hearing Yamato mention Kaidou made even Ulti shudder.

Even for her, Kaidou’s ”teaching” left serious psychological scars. Every ranked officer in the Hundred Beasts felt the same.

Especially Queen, who, as one of the victims alongside Yamato, bore too many marks from Kaidou’s Hassaikai.

The ice field created by Yamato provided a perfect battlefield. In the blink of an eye, Ulti charged towards the enemy’s warships, while simultaneously, the Thousand-Year Dragons launched an air assault on these navy forces.

As part of the Hundred Beasts Air Cavalry, they frequently fought the navy as primal giant birds. Even now, in the form of Thousand-Year Dragons, they still troubled the navy significantly.

...

”Starboard number one ship is under attack! Port side number nine ship is under attack! The defense line has been breached!”

After being encased in ice, these warships lost their mobility, becoming sitting ducks for the aerial Thousand-Year Dragons.

”Counterattack! Everyone, counterattack! Anyone who dares to retreat, I’ll exile them to a deserted island!”

Hearing the reports of the fleet under attack, Nelson ordered his navy to fight back. Despite his corpulence, compared to other parasites in the East Sea, his capabilities were actually quite strong.

The Eighth Branch at least had a sizable navy fleet, capable of respectable combat in the East Sea. Nelson’s Chain Tactics are a testament to that. Most pirates in the East Sea couldn’t handle Nelson’s fleet.

Unfortunately, the matchmaking this time was terribly unfair, worse than any ELO mechanism, as he directly encountered a New World group on a fishing expedition.

Besides the aerial assault from the Thousand-Year Dragons, his fleet also faced two stealthy vanguards.

From the moment the battle began, Nelson only received one bad news after another. Every minute saw another warship destroyed, making the fleet he depended on seem frail.

Even with Nelson’s orders, his soldiers showed signs of dispersing.

”What’s happening? What on earth is happening? How many enemies are there?”

”A-Admiral, besides those Thousand-Year Dragons, there are only two enemies...”

”Two people?! How is that possible! Two people crushed my fleet?”

In a panic, Nelson accidentally fell from his chair, his excessive weight preventing him from getting up. It took the help of his soldiers to get him back in position.

”Who are they? Haven’t you found out their information yet?”

”You, you filthy fat pig, are you the Admiral? Looks like I’ve won.”

The chain connecting the ships swayed, and Ulti had already boarded Nelson’s flagship, holding a blood-stained flail. However, the handle of the flail was as solid as a Wolf Fang Club, seeming like a hybrid of the two.

”It doesn’t matter if you’ve won; big sis, you didn’t even say what winning meant.”

Page One followed closely, boarding from the other side, looking at Ulti indifferently. Without any stakes, the outcome wouldn’t change anything.

It was only then that the informant on the ship, somewhat flustered, ran out of the cabin with both of their dossiers, but upon seeing the pair already on the main ship, his legs buckled, and he dropped the two Wanted Posters.

Though his speed wasn’t slow, since the Great Pirate Era began, pirates on the sea multiplied daily. Even in the East Sea, there was no shortage of those with bounties in the millions.

As a branch stationed in the East Sea, their intelligence was focused on these newcomer pirates, having little concern for pirates from the New World.

They weren’t distinguished individuals like Kaidou, and neither Ulti nor Page One cared to mark themselves with Pirate Flags, which delayed their identification. But upon discovering their identities, they only felt more helpless.
