Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 799: Chapter 798: Tradition of the Hundred Beasts, True God of the Microbial Domain

The Shampodi Islands are a necessary route for pirates heading to the New World. Even legal groups must first come here to pass through the Red Earth Continent, as the World Government’s office is also located here.

With seven routes intersecting here, it is theoretically a bustling place, which is indeed true. The economy here is highly developed, attracting a massive number of tourists each year.

Yet, places like this also have slums. As the darkness beneath the prosperity, everything here seems out of place but aligns with the characteristics of the Shampodi Islands.

The World Government’s office, a Navy outpost, lawless areas, human trafficking operations—it’s hard to believe these institutions can coexist on the same island.

Sometimes only a wall separates two completely different worlds.

And their reason for coming to the slum is simple: recruit people and expand the faith.

Compared to those living in abundance, people in the slums are more prone to hope. Although they’ve experienced despair and remain cautious of the world, once they develop faith, it is the most loyal.

”Move everything over here, and hurry up!”

The current composition of the Beast Pirates is quite complex. Under Arceus’s rules, joining this pirate crew has become much harder, and those who accept the crew’s regulations are assigned to different squads based on their personality after joining.

When someone rises to the rank of a single-digit numbered officer, they become qualified to select their crew as they please, forming their own direct fleet. These are the people Iscariot picked.

Officers have different preferences: Jack values strength, Mandfeish cares about family circumstances, preferring to recruit people with families, Drake picks by first impressions, while Iscariot looks at a person’s limits.

Her pirates are considered the most orderly and relatively the kindest, in other words, these people are more like adventurers.

At the moment, they resemble a relief organization, bringing supplies to the slum, and the first step upon arriving here is to engage in a fight.

Even in a slum, there is plenty of oppression. Local bullies use their fists to intimidate weaker people, exploiting them for profit to live a good life in this underclass society. ℯℯ𝑙.

”Get out of the way, don’t block the road!”

”What are you doing? Does hitting an old man give you a sense of accomplishment? Want to try it with us?”

The kindness of these people is relative. There are hardly any who can’t fight when sailing The Sea, and they quickly expelled those who originally ruled this street area.

They bully the weak and fear the strong, simply choosing to flee when facing someone stronger, seeking backing, wanting to establish themselves in Shampodi, either with mighty forces or by forming alliances with others.

Certainly, with the Hundred Beasts banner behind them, Iscariot and others aren’t afraid of any retaliation afterward.

”Rami, it’s up to you to organize, you’re better at this than I am.”

”Okay, leave it to me.”

This year, Rami is already 18 years old. Besides her hair color, her facial features have matured, looking quite similar to a feminized version of Law. As a member of the Arceus Sect, her task is to spread the religion, while Iscariot is responsible for rounding up children of suitable ages.

This is also the consistent style of the Hundred Beasts. Initially, their core members came from all over the world, but in recent years, grassroots officers are almost all orphans they raised themselves. They may not be strong, but they are loyal and more trustworthy.

Previously, Olga handled this task. She didn’t mind doing it while on her way but didn’t want to make a special trip every time, so she handed it over to Iscariot, who has a personality that enjoys being around children.

...

”Grandpa, can I take a look at your leg? Your wound seems quite serious.”

Rami approached the person who had just been beaten. He didn’t show a relaxed expression but still looked at Rami with caution, as the composition of the slum was very complex.

People stranded here from shipwrecks, those who escaped after being trafficked, those trapped here, or on a journey where loved ones were tragically killed by Heavenly Celestial Dragons or pirates, eventually staying here.

Many have closed their hearts. Even when given food and medicine, they won’t easily trust others.

As it’s a slum, nobody cares about their life or death, and those slave traders often visit here.

”Look, I am just an ordinary girl wanting to help you with your wound.”

As she spoke, she opened her portable medical box, revealing a scalpel and bandages inside, but strangely, there were no medications.

Because of her appearance, the old man let down his guard, slowly uncovering his tattered clothes, revealing a wound below that oozed pus.

”A doctor looked at it a few days ago, said the only way to save my life was amputation...”

Occasionally, some kind-hearted people do pass by, but he didn’t accept this treatment method, as here, losing a leg is almost the same as death.

”Don’t worry, grandpa, it can be treated.”

Saying that, Rami directly placed her hand over the wound, transforming into colorful poison muck to cover it.

She is an Alola Muk ability user, but her application of the ability isn’t just poison. Inside an Alola Muk, countless viruses and bacteria gather, capable of forming deadly toxins, yet also killing other viruses and bacteria.

Through continuous training of her abilities and absorbing external knowledge, Rami gradually learned how to control different microorganisms within her.

And this ability is still being developed. Even Queen hasn’t thoroughly researched how many permutations and combinations the microorganisms inside an Alola Muk can form.

Previously, she used her abilities to clean in the Monastery, and now she’s cleansing harmful substances inside the injured.

In the realm of microorganisms, she is akin to a ”god.”

All of this is based on her understanding of medicine. Misu has taught her many things, but her greatest interest is in medicine. She doesn’t even understand why, just that she feels a sense of intimacy while learning similar knowledge.

Under her control, the microorganisms inside Muk became special nanorobots, which, after combining, successfully eradicated the bacteria. This is why she never carries medications, as she can create necessary special medicines according to situations.

Within a few minutes, she had achieved her goal. Following this, she numbed the area using her ability, removed the decayed tissue, and re-stitched the wound.

”It’s all right now. Just take it easy for a few days. Don’t touch this bandage; I’ve specially treated it, so the wound won’t get infected.”

”Tha...thank you...”

”No need to thank me, it’s the Master’s will. The Master’s glory is spreading. By believing in the Master, you’ll be free from the torment of pain.”

As a trainee nun, Rami started her first-ever preaching mission. Judging by the spark in the old man’s eyes, the effect was promising.

Using the old man, a local, Rami began to promote the teachings of the Arceus Sect, helping others heal while attracting more to listen to her proclaimed doctrines.

Iscariot sought out those naive children, winning their favor with food, and some adults even directly ”sold” their children to her.

And all this was observed by Ace and Dues passing by.

”Dues, that wouldn’t be... a human trafficker, would it?”
