Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 754: Chapter 753: Dawn of the Four Emperors Era

Whether it’s the Sea Emperor or the Seven Warlords of the Sea, they are all pirates, the only difference is their strength.

And among pirates, betrayal is a norm. Even those who join the Sea Emperor’s subordinate forces have different motives and will initiate a rebellion without hesitation when the opportunity arises.

Of course, ever since the Great Pirate Era began, and the Sea Emperor ruled the seas, disloyal pirates have never succeeded. Charlotte Linlin, Edward Newgate, and Kaidou have explained the consequences to others with blood.

Betrayal is common, but one must bear the consequences.

The outcome of the battle was without doubt. The stronger the person, the more they understand the gap between themselves and Kaidou, and the more they slack off, so after just one fight, Kaidou returned to Ghost Island with many people. A grand banquet was already prepared.

When unhappy, pirates hold a feast to cheer up. When happy, they hold a feast to celebrate. When they win a battle, they hold a feast to celebrate, and when defeated, they hold a feast to boost morale. That’s the pirate group.

Any reason, or no reason at all, just because they want to, they can initiate a grand banquet.

Newcomers debut, and a large number of grassroots officials gather together. This doesn’t require any other reason anymore.

.....

”Cheers!”

In Ghost Island, the grand banquet had already begun. Queen found another opportunity to showcase himself, displaying his dance moves accompanied by his underlings’ dance. Other pirates gathered in twos and threes based on their usual relationships.

”Brother Jack, congratulations, you’re getting closer to the position of Calamity.”

”Indeed, if you defeat those two and gain Kaidou’s recognition, you’ll be the new Calamity.”

Ginrummy and Sheepshead flattered Jack on the side.

Becoming Kaidou’s right-hand man has always been his pursuit, and in Jack’s eyes, serving as a High-Level Official of Calamity fulfills this need.

To become a Calamity isn’t particularly complicated—either replace an existing Calamity or gain Kaidou’s recognition to create a new Calamity position, but none of these are easy; all require strength.

”Hmm, you two should train hard too. How can you be my subordinates if you’re so weak? Those two fruits are yours; don’t waste the power of the elephant.”

Even if the two of them were flattering, Jack didn’t seem very pleased, merely allocating them the ordinary elephant and Ancient Mammoth Fruit.

That was enough for them, but in the next moment, Jack demonstrated what it means to change expressions. His originally cold face warmed slightly because Alcremie had already skipped over joyfully towards him.

Behind it were Miaona and Wolf, along with Mandfeish, who brought his daughter and wife.

”Brother Mandfeish, congratulations on having a daughter.”

Lowering his arm, Jack let Alcremie climb onto his shoulder, then drank the wine in his hand dry and nodded at Mandfeish.

Originally, Rushaka and Setsuna were discussing some parenting insights, but as they talked, Setsuna found there wasn’t much to say. The situations with Miaona and Wolf were unlikely to be replicated on the half-Mermaid, thus lacking reference value.

”Hmm, we’ll head over there first. If you’re interested, come over later to the new place Kojiro opened.”

”Okay, I got it.”

People have different habits. Mandfeish used to enjoy such lively environments, but this time, bringing his daughter, he wanted to find a slightly quieter place.

Strictly speaking, that place is a private sub-venue, only accessible to officials.

As for the cost, the one treating is Drake, but who’s borrowing the money is uncertain.

As per usual practice, guests don’t bring guests, but Jack is different. Drake’s intention was to call all the old acquaintances over.

After the initial celebration, the officials began to leave one by one, leaving the place to the ordinary subordinates where many Pokemon figures could be seen. At this moment, a drunkard was being teased endlessly by Whimsicott, not knowing where he was.

And outside Ghost Island, they also saw many Steel-type Pokemon, for example, Tinkaton and Bisharp gathered together, examining each other, not sure what they were thinking.

This is the Steel-type Pokemon sub-venue. Due to the issue with steel materials, unless under special circumstances, they are not allowed to enter Ghost Island, so they gathered outside.

When Mandfeish and the others arrived at the designated place, they saw Yamato and Ulti drinking competitively, as well as Page One, who was forcibly pulled by Ulti to stay by her side.

”You guys finally made it. No one’s drunk yet, right? Today it’s on me, drink as you please!”

Saying so, she picked up a distinct bottle and began drinking with the person next to her. It’s her special provision. Call her thrifty, but she is clearly in debt treating guests; call her wasteful, but she hasn’t forgotten to use her welfare card to slightly reduce the debt.

The current top 10 Numberers and former top 10 Numberers are almost all here, including all sorts of Hundred Beasts people.

Diligent workaholic representatives, the Duke of Zou not too keen on taking office, the quiet angler, the extremely irritable iron-headed girl, the idealistic just person.

The big sister who lives lavishly in debt every day, the modified person reflecting on past single digits lost, the former agent trying hard to integrate into the crowd.

They have different goals but ultimately gathered under the same Pirate Flag, even if there might be small frictions between them, striving towards a common goal.

”Speaking of which, where’s Sasaki? Didn’t he come?”

This more or less serves as the team-building for officials, and Sasaki’s absence felt odd to Mandfeish. If there’s no major disagreement, a little face should still be given.

”Him? He came, but just went back to Udon to move some wine. He said he brewed quite a lot of good wine recently and wanted to share it with us. Also, it seems he’s planning to share something with that Aggron at the mine, so that’s why he’s delayed.”

Pokemon have diverse personalities, and everyone has a few Pokemon they’re close with, often with quirky habits. For instance, Drake frequently inquires whether any Pokemon use Pay Day, hoping to gain some extra wealth through this.

After the banquet, large numbers of officials began to return to their original territories, while time quietly passed. This Hundred Beasts rotation battle itself took place at year’s end. By the time the Hundred Beasts’ High-Level Officials returned, it was already the year 1516.

During this period, a major event also happened on the sea: Red Hair Shanks finally established his title as a Sea Emperor.

The New World welcomed another unshakable monster; Red Hair, Hundred Beasts, BIG MOM, Whitebeard - the era of the Four Emperors has arrived.
