Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 768: Chapter 767: Perrserker Squad in Formation

The Rokushiki teaches basic techniques. The combination of Finger Gun, Moonwalk, Soru, Rankyaku, Kami-e, and Tekkai can help one handle most situations in combat.

But based on this foundation, those who master Rokushiki and use it as their main combat style develop their own derived skills and areas of expertise.

Who’s-Who is most skilled at Finger Gun, which was one of the reasons Knight valued him; the two have similarities in their areas of expertise.

Who’s-Who also knows some of Knight’s abilities well. In the past, he would never have intercepted Knight’s attack in such a manner, but the power granted by Arceus gave him confidence.

Among the many attributes of Pokemon, each attribute has vast potential for development. Even the Bug Type, considered the weakest, has a glorious future, but the Steel Type and Rock Type undoubtedly show the most significant improvements.

A body of steel and rock can remarkably enhance one’s baseline; when transformed into a Steel-type Pokemon, ordinary bullets and swords can be endured without dodging, relying solely on the body’s hardness to withstand the attack without injury.

Perrserker’s body is also unique; the Viking horn helmet on its head is not a real helmet but the result of hardened body hair. As one of the Steel-type Pokemons, their body hair is also composed of metal-like substance.

Who’s-Who’s body hair appears fluffy but has an extremely unique structure; tens of thousands of strands of steel hair intertwine, possessing strong defense while also absorbing a certain degree of impact, combining both the hardness of steel and the flexibility of hair.

Additionally, there’s the amplification of Tekkai. The essence of Tekkai is controlling one’s blood flow to make the body extraordinarily hard. However, Tekkai is just a descriptive term, with uncertain limits and baselines, and every year, many agents die due to over-reliance on Tekkai.

The original intention of using Tekkai was to strengthen defense and reduce damage in the face of unavoidable attacks, though evasion is always better when possible, or at necessary times, exchange injury for injury to find an opening for counterattack.

But over time, its original intention seems to have changed.

The impact of Knight’s Finger Gun was almost entirely absorbed, and the remaining attack power was negligible for Who’s-Who, and this wasn’t even his strongest state. His ability is quite special; the trait named Steel Will makes Steel-type attacks even stronger.

And the effect of this trait can be stacked, though the power exerted is limited due to the physical strength limit.

When Who’s-Who joined the Hundred Beasts Pirates, he brought along his recruited subordinates. His original subordinates named CAT’S were actually Perrserker reserves, and Arceus intended to build them into a special Perrserker squad dedicated to team combat.

In Hundred Beasts, Who’s-Who is one of the few who isn’t just a brute; he has plenty of useful places, though the squad is still waiting to be built, his subordinates lack both achievements and strength.

”Paw Gun · Steel!”

A sinister smile appeared at the corner of Who’s-Who’s mouth, and the fur on his right hand’s nails and wrist instantly wrapped around his fist, turning it into a large gunhead.

This is a skill acquired by Perrserker in the wild; some Perrserkers deliberately grow their nails long and use them as daggers, and when Who’s-Who gained this ability, borrowing the power of Life Return, he acquired an additional set of armaments.

Sensing the anomaly, Knight dodged backwards, but still a blood mark appeared on his face; he seemed to underestimate the strange weapon in Who’s-Who’s hand.

However, under his body’s strong regenerative ability, the wound quickly healed. He used to reduce the opportunity to use his abilities to confuse the enemy, but against Who’s-Who, it didn’t matter, as Who’s-Who understood his abilities well.

”Saber-toothed Tiger.. no, this isn’t the power a Saber-toothed Tiger should possess..... Queen....”

”That’s not something you need to understand; I will remember the contributions you’ve made, you should feel honored, you’re the first to experience this new power!”

”Kizan Sorin!”

The steel hair on Who’s-Who’s body condensed into small spikes; the fangs and sharp steel claws retained from the Saber-toothed Tiger form composed a sharper edge, and his body curled slightly into a ball, spiraling towards the opponent at high speed.

The power brought by the ability is his greatest advantage. Even as a Zoan type, a Mythical Zoan is simply much stronger than Ancient or regular types; the feeling he had facing Sasaki before was now all given to this old senior.

”Fang Gun Combo!”

Sharp tooth-shaped flying blades kept assaulting Knight; though Knight approached Who’s-Who by understanding some of his moves, before he could strike, Who’s-Who suddenly roared fiercely with a piercing sound.

The sharp metallic noise penetrated into his brain, like a hammer striking inside his head, causing a brief blankness in Knight’s mind.

This is the drawback brought by his fruit; the Earthworm Fruit makes him more sensitive to sound, this noise causes transient paralysis in his nervous system, allowing Who’s-Who to stab his stomach with the gun.

Relying on the powerful life force brought by Zoan type, Knight didn’t fall; after pulling away, he used his ability to heal his wound again.

The collision between Knight and Who’s-Who grew increasingly intense. Over time, Knight understood a harsh truth: he was no longer a match for the juniors like he used to be.

Perrserker’s compatibility with Who’s-Who was high; claws replaced the usual short sword, and steel fur compensated for defensive shortcomings, making detachment extremely difficult.

Just at this moment, Knight’s side glance detected Tesoro spectating on the high platform.

He needed a safe way to leave, and Tesoro seemed like the opportunity.

He dared not kill the opponent; Tesoro’s status was very special, killing him without orders from above would certainly anger some Heavenly Celestial Dragon families, cutting off their financial pathway.

But kidnapping and coercion were no problem; if there’s a drawback in the remade Perrserker, it’s Who’s-Who’s decreased agility, as Who’s-Who hadn’t fully adapted to the heavier form yet.

Knight sacrificed his right arm to free himself from Who’s-Who’s entanglement; in mid-air, his arm already regenerated.

However, Tesoro wasn’t startled at all; he merely clapped his hands, and the golden platform beneath turned into a large hand, gripping Knight mid-air.

”Knight, it seems you’ve forgotten something; don’t forget, I’m also a High-Level Official of Hundred Beasts, given I’m bold enough to appear before you, how could I possibly lack strength?”𝒻𝑟ℯℯ
