Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 450: Chapter 449: The Mary Geoise Attack Incident

Back when Onix was digging tunnels everywhere, even after filling in the wrong ones, the places that had been excavated were no longer a complete piece of rock, naturally leaving small depressions, which gave Tiger a chance to catch his breath.

After a brief rest, he continued climbing upward. He didn’t have much time; if dawn broke, it wouldn’t take long before he was discovered. He had to complete his objective under the cover of night.

Even though it was an almost impossible goal, the years of torment had instilled a belief in his heart, and eventually, he successfully reached the top.

Relying on his familiarity with Mary Geoise, he infiltrated from the sewers. The Heavenly Celestial Dragons, to showcase their uniqueness, even built the sewers extraordinarily wide, and this just happened to give Tiger an opportunity.

He had prepared for today’s action for a long time, and in his backpack were the tools he had prepared. The department store opened by Kojiro was a great help to him, like the Water Storage Shell he was holding now.

On Sky Island, it’s just a device for storing liquids, but they were now filled with strong fuel inside. Set a fire to attract attention, and then rescue the slaves held together.

Today was also the selected day for his action because it was the day of a gathering among the Heavenly Celestial Dragons. In their view, lowly slaves were not fit to appear on such occasions, so all the slaves would be detained together.

There was the slave bank of the Heavenly Celestial Dragons. To them, slaves were no different from currency, merely equivalents and consumables.

He had heard from Otohime and had asked Kojiro if Otohime needed arms orders, so he got a lot of good things from him. At this time, some of the timed fuses were already set by him.

As time passed, those fuses were ignited right on time, and a fire engulfed the entire Mary Geoise in an instant, causing chaos everywhere. All hands were mobilized to transfer the Heavenly Celestial Dragons and rescue their assets.

Rescuing the property was entirely the requirement of the Heavenly Celestial Dragons. Though the houses were ablaze, in their eyes, human lives were far less important than their beloved toys.

Under the threat of guns, some people working for the Heavenly Celestial Dragons had no choice but to risk their lives and enter the sea of fire.

The purpose of this fire was initially to attract most people’s attention. No matter what, Tiger had already achieved this purpose, escorting the Heavenly Celestial Dragons to safety, tying up a large number of hands.

Most of the guards had already been drawn away by the fire, and Tiger’s opportunity had come. He, too, was a strong fighter among the Fishman Race, and the remaining guards were not his opponents. After defeating them, he successfully obtained the needed keys.

...

”You are free! But you are not safe yet! This is Mary Geoise. You all know what staying here means. If you don’t want to be carried out on a corpse cart, then follow me!”

Holding the weapons snatched from the guards, Tiger began liberating the slaves, prioritizing the adult males who could fight. The guards outside, upon noticing the commotion here, had already surrounded them. He needed people to fend off those guards.

There were many slaves in the hands of the Heavenly Celestial Dragons, including the Giant Race, and two of them became their strongest force now. With CP0 agents guarding the Heavenly Celestial Dragons, these people could not stop the giants.

Appearing like a savior, Tiger became their backbone. Most of the bewildered people followed his orders, especially those Fishman and Mermaid slaves.

”Brother Tiger, the chains are all open. What should we do next?”

”Target Red Port, seize the Bubble Cable Car, and retreat from there.”

Though he managed to climb alone, it didn’t mean everyone could return the same way. Even he might not be able to do it. Climbing is easy, but descent is much harder, and leaving here is far more difficult than coming.

Red Port surely had guards, but in pursuit of freedom and survival, they had to make this desperate attempt.

After the incident at Mary Geoise, Marinfanto nearby was surely notified. At this point, naval warships had already begun dispatching reinforcements to Red Port, as the World Meeting had long since ended, and naturally, the stationed Admiral had withdrawn as well.

Both sides of Mary Geoise were the Navy’s strongest branches, and with its own armed forces, there was no need to always station an Admiral here.

Reinforcements would soon arrive at Mary Geoise, but until then, the guards there had to hold out on their own.

....

”Junior Admiral, according to intelligence, a group of slaves has hijacked the Bubble Cable Car, and they’re coming down soon!”

”There are giants too, Junior Admiral, they’ve already appeared in sight!”

The information was transmitted from above. They couldn’t destroy the Bubble Cable Car directly, as it would halt transportation here.

Causing significant loss to the World Government, and the demand from the Heavenly Celestial Dragons wasn’t to kill the slaves but to bring them back.

So, the few guards above did not resist, instead letting them come down, as no one there wanted to take responsibility. They knew that even if the slaves were let down, they still had to face the guards at Red Port, which is why this decision was made.

Facing the approaching Bubble Cable Car, the soldiers stationed there did not know what to do.

”Raise your guns, keep the muzzles low, and fire freely.”

”Lowering?!” The Bubble Cable Car was still at a certain height; naturally, aiming horizontally wouldn’t hit the target.

”Execute the order.”

”Yes!”

The gunfire kept ringing out, but not a single slave fell. This was the decision made by that Navy officer. Guarding here, he naturally knew the situation up there. He had no power to interfere with the Heavenly Celestial Dragons, but at this moment, he could make his own choice.

However, after they landed, he still stood in front of Tiger with his weapon.

”Human, step aside. We only want freedom.”

”Impossible, this is my duty. I won’t tell you about the two naval ships in the east fully stocked and ready to set sail.

I won’t tell you either that behind me is the location of the ammo depot. Blowing it up would cause major havoc, leaving no time to bother you.

Nor will I tell you that reinforcements from the Headquarter will arrive in 5 minutes at most.”

”...Do it!”

With the military at Red Port turning a blind eye, Fisher Tiger successfully led the slaves from Mary Geoise to escape. By the time reinforcements arrived, they only saw the burning Red Port.

The next day, Tiger became a wanted criminal with a bounty of 230 million Belly, and his name became known among major forces...
