Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 410: Chapter 409: The Grateful Magikarp and the Nun Who Was Proselytized in Reverse

”Olga, are the photos ready?”

”They’re ready, but Lord Arceus, will anyone be willing to publish this kind of news?”

Previously, Olga had received orders to take photos, and she documented the tragic state of Freyvans.

However, knowing the truth, she understood one thing: publishing such news could likely attract attention.

”Someone will. That guy Morgans won’t pass up such big news. If he worries about the World Government, his newspaper wouldn’t have come this far.”

Two main reasons Morgans’ business took off: a flock of News Birds and the courage to report major events. Reporting major events was his hobby at first and also for fame, but now it’s his way of survival.

If he loses his popularity, the World Government’s stance towards him would not be possible assassination but direct arrest instead.

With these photos and the truth of the content, Morgans will undoubtedly report it extensively, and by then their purpose will also be achieved.

Especially the royals of Freyvans, living in Freyvans, they will inevitably be affected by the Platinum Lead, and since they know the truth, they will spend more money to eliminate this threat.

This operation also had a special code name - ”Targeting the Rich.”

”Organize it and send a message to Tesoro with Rotom, he’ll understand what to do. But there’s no rush, wait until we return to start the plan. During this time, he can slowly operate this matter.

Also, inform your father and the others so that preparations can be made on the Ghost Island side as well.”

For example, the treatment report for the lead disease. Such a Muk therapy naturally won’t be revealed, so they need to devise something incomprehensible to outsiders yet seemingly impressive.

The medication part is the same, as there was originally no specific medicine, so this medication’s requirement is to be a harmless and unknown health product. Coincidentally, Queen utilized Diancie’s ability to create some new elements, which can now be effectively utilized.

In addition, combining Nightin’s talent with herbal medicine to develop some pharmacology, and using Asie’s knowledge of minerals to explain the Platinum Lead issue, the abilities of these three experts are just up to the task.

”Understood, but regarding the treatment process of that nun... should it also be recorded?”

”Just take a photo of the face, the healing process is still quite long.”

...

In the meantime, the people on the ship had their own ways of passing time, such as the ship’s doctor becoming obsessed with the Muk therapy, writing observation reports every day.

And Yamato temporarily took up fishing as a new type of training. It’s intended to cultivate patience; in some situations, her impatience leads to irrational actions.

Fishing is a major test of patience, although the moment of catching a fish is joyful, there’s a lengthy period of solitude to endure for that brief joy.

Successfully catching a fish was her goal for the day.

”Miss Yamato, that’s not how it works.”

”Right, this isn’t a fishing boat, and there are no reefs around here. The schools of fish are scarce; you’ll need more patience.”

At that moment, Yamato held two fishing rods, occasionally lifting them to check. Never mind sea fishing, even in a fish pond, she probably wouldn’t catch anything like this.

In contrast, Robin was much more at ease. She was reading a book, the fishing was done by her extended arm, a collaboration with Maria. Maria used the compound eyes of a spider to track the float’s movements while she controlled the fishing rod.

The two of them had a lot more patience, so they were more successful than Yamato.

But eventually, she succeeded. On the brink of losing her temper, a Magikarp graced her with a successful catch.

”Remember not to bite the hook in the future, and keep away from fishing nets. Remember to evolve soon.”

Looking at the Magikarp that concluded her painful lesson for the day, Yamato used the Power of the Evergreen to teach it how to avoid risks, then released it back into the sea.

As she ended her fishing endeavor, the long treatment course with the Muk therapy finally concluded. At that time, they were already near the East Sea, symbolizing a journey spanning almost half of the North Sea for treatment.

”The Platinum Lead levels are zero, and the sedatives have stopped. They should wake up soon.”

Holding the test report, the ship’s doctor made his assessment, and as he predicted, the nun soon woke up, but long-term slumber left her mind a bit foggy.

”Is this... Hell? I seemed to remember being taken by the Hell Messenger...”

Her last memory was of being carried on the back of a human-shaped spider wrapped in silk.

”No, this is the ship, we’ve left Freyvans. According to the course, we should be near the East Sea now. How’s your body feeling? Is there any discomfort?”

The doctor inquired about her condition, as he needed to write an observation report.

”On the ship... So those were just dreams, right? Are the children saved? Where are they?”

”Right beside you.”

The nun turned her head and saw the girl lying on the hospital bed next to her.

”Rami?! Where’s her brother? What about the other children?”

It was then they learned the girl’s name - Rami, full name Trafalgar D. Water Rami. The ’D’ was silent, ’Water’ was her hidden name; publicly she was known as Trafalgar Rami.

She was the biological sister of Trafalgar Law.

”Regrettably, only you two survived from Freyvans. Miss Yamato found no other survivors. Don’t get too agitated; your current health isn’t very strong.”

Nutritional fluids supplemented her life’s necessities, but this nun couldn’t perform Life Return; it’s already good that her muscles hadn’t atrophied after lying for so long.

Under the ship doctor’s narration, she accepted the unwilling reality that only Rami remained among the monastery’s children.

Rami also woke up soon after, but unlike the nun, she had no memory of previous events and didn’t recognize the nun either.

”What’s wrong with her...?”

”Memory loss due to heavy metal poisoning. But if you ask me, forgetting all that is actually a good thing. Don’t you think?”

After the examination, the ship’s doctor transferred Rami to another room and then spoke to the nun.

”Indeed...”

Reflecting on everything from Freyvans sent chills down the nun’s spine; it was better for Rami to forget those things.

”Doctor, you’re a good person. May the Lord bless you.”

”No need, I’m not a good person, and rather than your Lord, I have more faith in Lord Arceus. He and Miss Yamato were the ones who brought you back, don’t forget this kindness.”

Out of habit, she mentioned the Lord, but as a nun, she found herself confronted by someone else’s preaching...
