Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 443: Chapter 442: The Young Man’s Path—Both Broad and Narrow

Boom! Boom!

A sudden side cannonade caught Victarion off guard; he hated these unplanned events.

”What’s going on with that ship?”

Battles between the Navy and pirates were not uncommon. If another warship attacked them, Victarion wouldn’t be surprised, as it would be a normal support situation for the Navy.

However, this time the warship was the one being attacked, and the pirate ship that appeared bore a flag nobody had ever heard of, which was very strange.

Normally, when other pirate groups see the Navy battling another pirate crew, they choose to steer clear to avoid trouble. Only a few pirates dare to attack the Navy directly, and even then, they typically target escort ships.

This is because what the Navy escorts is usually valuable enough to make them take the risk, but today such an unusual situation has occurred.

Even the Hundred Beasts don’t understand the situation, let alone Comil’s side. Although the Navy soldiers on this ship are at full capacity to deal with sudden events, any ship led by a high-ranking official under a Sea Emperor would not fear a single warship.

Unless the ship was full of some strange people, like a retired Sengoku, Tsuru, and Fujitora.

The battle was evenly matched, and Comil couldn’t free himself. If it weren’t for the sake of the successful implementation of the Seven Warlords plan, Olga would have the ability to keep him here.

He couldn’t free himself, his adjutant was entangled by Elizabeth, and the remaining Navy didn’t have much advantage in battle. Usually, in artillery battles against pirates, the Navy held an advantage, as their weapons and equipment were much stronger with the World Government backing them.

Firepower advantage is the most important thing for an ordinary soldier in battle, but against the Hundred Beasts, based in Wano Kuni, it is not as effective, and the pirates that appeared behind had a huge impact on the situation.

Seeing this suddenly appearing group of pirates, Olga was not happy because that wasn’t part of her plan.

According to the script, she would retreat immediately after the battle. She had no interest in Comil’s life; more specifically, Comil could not be harmed.

His identity was as a messenger for the Seven Warlords, and if he died at the meeting site with the Nine Serpent Pirates, it would inevitably seem like a conspiracy.

The Vice Admirals from the Headquarter and G branch are the backbone of the Navy. Such officers’ deaths would severely damage the Navy’s reputation and the resulting ripple effects would be hard to manage.

But this was not the primary issue. She could control the battle casualties. Apart from her and Elizabeth, nobody else had the capability to inflict fatal wounds on a Navy Vice Admiral. The biggest problem was these outsiders suddenly disrupting the existing plan.

A surge of black-purple energy spread out from under Olga’s feet like a tide, gradually enveloping the entire warship’s surface. Even the Shadow Fox and Sasaki’s ship, which just approached, were affected by her.

”Phantom Territory.”

The black-purple energy looked incredibly illusory, disappearing abruptly after spreading, yet after that, all Navy soldiers aboard stopped their actions.

”Cease all actions!”

Olga then ordered her subordinates to stop and commanded, ”Elizabeth, those pirates have been controlled. Take the ship to the sea area I previously told you about.”

Olga pressed her right hand against her temple; her brain was performing large-scale calculations. Phantoms were generated by her thoughts, and the more she understood something, the more realistic the phantoms became.

As her power grew, she could control the distance of the phantoms over a much wider area. The position marked on the Nautical Chart was the maximum range of her phantom’s reach.

Usually, she replicated dead objects or environmental conditions; such phantoms were the most stable.

However, the more people caught in the phantom, the easier it is to reveal flaws. It’s not difficult to confuse and mislead the enemy on the battlefield to make them kill each other just by replicating attack scenes like sword swinging.

This kind of retreat after defeat scene is more complex to maintain, so she could not move and had to rely on others to handle it.

”Understood, I will handle it quickly.”

Elizabeth knew that a phantom lasting too long could easily reveal flaws, so she immediately unfolded her wings and glided to the side.

”Hancock, this phantom will last for a while, so be cautious then.”

”Don’t worry, Sister Olga, I know how to handle it.”

”Okay, leave it to you, see you next time.”

She then returned to the Shadow Fox, and after Sasaki’s ship was moved to a place where Comil absolutely couldn’t see them, she also left with her people.

Once she left, Comil and the others returned to reality from the bindings of the phantom.

He didn’t harbor much suspicion, especially since neither Akainu nor Tsuru could keep Olga; he didn’t think he had that capability. However, in the fake battle he witnessed, Hancock demonstrated the value of the Seven Warlords, and her combat power was indeed worthy of the position.

Afterwards, Hancock barely responded to Comil’s words, acting extremely arrogant. She knew the more she said, the more flaws could appear, so maintaining this situation was the best outcome.

Anyhow, she had already established such an extremely arrogant persona with the Navy, so continuing this wasn’t abnormal.

On the other hand, on Sasaki’s ship, Sasaki and his crew were completely puzzled. Their last impression had been attacking the Navy, but suddenly they found themselves in this unfamiliar sea area, with Hundred Beasts’ people pointing guns at their heads.

”Speak, who sent you?”

”No one sent us; we came voluntarily to help.”

Looking at Olga, who was questioning them, Sasaki was not flustered. Although he only admired Kaidou, he recognized the people around Kaidou as well.

”What? Voluntarily helping?”

”Yes, joining the Hundred Beasts has always been my aspiration. I am Sasaki, a pirate who just set sail this year.....”

”I’m not interested in your identity; you almost ruined my major event. Do you think just anyone can join?”

He should be grateful that it was Olga managing this situation, the most easy-going among the major figures of the Hundred Beasts Pirates. If it were King or Queen, or even Shaina, they would have sunk their ship without a word.

Many newcomers want to join the Hundred Beasts. In the words of another world, Sasaki’s unwise decision was courting death. But just as Olga was considering how to deal with these people, the words ”Plate” reached her ears.

”Did you say plate?”

”Yes, the plate Lord Kaidou needs. I found that thing.”
