Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 446: Chapter 445: Bastiodon and the Red Lock

Queen received the message and stopped his current experiment to begin his warm-up activities. Sharpening one’s skills in the last minute might not bring speed, but it’s better than nothing. He certainly didn’t want to be unlucky.

At this moment, Tesoro also brought Stella to Ghost Island, where the health pharmaceuticals department of the Hundred Beasts Fruit had achieved great success.

Since Olga returned to Ghost Island after meeting Sasaki, the time had moved to January of 1507. In the past period, Hundred Beasts Fruit successfully opened a new path.

A large number of royals and nobles used the potion to treat Platinum Lead disease. Now their condition indeed hadn’t relapsed, and many felt their health had improved.

That’s the effect of the ingredients mixed into it. Subsequently, Hundred Beasts Fruit seized the opportunity to launch products like face masks and hair nourishing tonics, thereby capturing a certain market share.

Once the new department was on track, his focus turned to the mining department that was still in planning. This visit to Ghost Island was intended to take Swampert and Manaphy to Fishman Island.

Stella came along for two reasons. One was to let her appreciate the scenery of Fishman Island, and the other was to shoot a promotional video.

The initial smooth sales of those face masks were somewhat related to Stella’s advertising effect. She is now a rising star; the maintenance products she used naturally would interest others.

As for the promotional video, it was about the undersea mud masks. If everything went well, he even wanted to invite some mermaids. Although some people discriminate against this race, the beauty of mermaids is universally acknowledged.

However, not long after they arrived at Ghost Island, they heard about the new challenge.

This was the first challenge to the big board since the introduction of the Hundred Beasts challenge system. In the past, it wasn’t that no one had such ambition, but they couldn’t even pass the first hurdle.

And the top ten Numberers are all veterans. They know the strength of the big board and simply don’t go looking for a beating. Sasaki, this warrior, aroused the interest of many people.

...

”Queen! Queen! Queen!”

All around the spectator stands, the pirates of the Hundred Beasts excitedly shouted Queen’s name. As a seasoned banquet host, Queen’s reputation within the Hundred Beasts is not low, especially since his concept of treating ordinary pirates as expendables and experimental subjects was bound by rules.

Now he is at least not so ruthless towards his people.

Compared to Sasaki, an outsider who went straight to challenge the big board, they naturally hoped for Queen’s victory.

”Kid, are you ready? I don’t want to waste time with you.”

”Of course.” As he spoke, Sasaki’s body began to change. His skin gradually became rough, and three sharp horns appeared on the top of his head and above his nose.

He is a Dragon Fruit-Ancient-Triceratops Form ability user. Not long after setting sail, he got this fruit by luck, which made him more confident in joining the Hundred Beasts Pirate Group to become one of them.

After all, within the current cadres of Hundred Beasts, the abilities exhibited by all humans are Zoan-types.

However, Queen didn’t give him any extra time. Allowing him to transform was already the biggest concession. Zoan-type abilities require some time for transformation, and the more skilled the user, the quicker the transformation.

Although Queen acted later, he completed his transformation early.

Queen’s Tropius inherited the giant size of the original Brachiosaurus. The original Brachiosaurus’s weight is several times that of a Triceratops, and coupled with the size difference between Queen and Sasaki, the gap became even larger.

Sasaki was not prepared for the attack when Queen had already leaped into the air. Then a Haki-covered foot stomped down towards him.

”Fall down, kid. Queen Bomb!”

With his massive weight combined with the propulsion from his wings, Queen did not hold back in this attack. After all, if Sasaki didn’t fall, he would be in trouble himself.

Bam!

With a loud bang, Sasaki was stomped on the head by Queen, and the massive impact rendered even the nearby pirates unable to maintain their balance. Sasaki, who took a hit to the head from Queen, swayed and collapsed to the ground, his eyes turning blank as he lost consciousness.

”....”

The scene fell into silence momentarily. They all expected Sasaki to lose, but no one thought Queen would win so decisively. However, the silence was only momentary. Soon, a tidal wave of cheers overtook the initial astonishment, and Queen began to enjoy the applause.

An instant victory, and he met Shaina’s demand; all things considered, the opponent didn’t have a chance to make trouble for him.

”Hahaha, Queen, you were too harsh on the newbie.”

”No choice, boss Kaidou. After all, he challenged; otherwise, it would be disrespectful for me not to act this way.”

...

Queen defended his status and life safety with overwhelming superiority, but Sasaki still got what he deserved. Although he was somewhat rude, it was only because of his shallow experience.

Recovering the Plate was a great achievement, and he would receive what he deserved. Only during future strengthening training might he endure some hardships, especially since his ability transforms him into a punching bag.

Bastiodon, a Shield Pokemon modified based on Triceratops, its most distinct feature is the massive facial bone that, though part of the face, can protect its offspring like a fortress wall, and its diamond-like hardness is its greatest reliance.

On this basis, Arceus preserved the sharp horns of the Triceratops for him, adding a bit more offensive capability.

”Honored Beast, such a guy doesn’t deserve your ability; he’s too arrogant for his own good.”

”After all, he’s someone coming to surrender. Besides, he seems to be a brainless fan of Kaidou, so some behavior is understandable, but his matter reminds me of something. Shaina, this is for you.”

A scarlet lockchain appeared in Shaina’s hand, and from it, she sensed a very special aura.

”Honored Beast, this is....”

”A set of chains, specifically designed to restrain those I grant abilities. However, it won’t affect you, so you needn’t worry.”

The people of Hundred Beasts are growing, with more abilities distributed. Not everyone could display Shaina-like loyalty. Sasaki is just loyal to Kaidou, which is manageable. If any unforeseen incidents occur, like betrayal, which he despises, things wouldn’t be amusing.

The Red Lock is a special chain condensed from his power, having a restrictive effect on Pokemon Ability Users akin to the effect of Seastone on ordinary ability users.

Besides those mythical beasts he created, Shaina remained his most trusted subordinate. This lockchain is a recognition of her, with hardness surpassing existing materials, proving effective both externally and internally...
