Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 433: Chapter 432: The Empty Throne, The Eerie Smile

The Seven Warlords of the Sea plan had a preplan long ago, but the situation on the sea wasn’t as complex back then, especially after the Rocks were just eradicated. The situation on the sea was exactly what they wanted to see.

Chaos can shift conflicts and achieve the current goals of the World Government. What they want is a special order from chaos, to better distinguish their so-called classes.

But with Roger’s rise and the emergence of various monsters, the balance has been broken.

The definition of the Seven Warlords of the Sea is to rather have none than have the subpar. Although the Navy has the right to deploy them, the Seven Warlords do not belong to the Navy, but are legal pirates certified by the World Government.

They were chosen to intervene in the balance of the sea, not to be used to gain prestige. This is why after Moriah’s defeat in the original timeline, the World Government wanted to eliminate him.

Because his existence was too embarrassing for the World Government.

”Crocodile did a pretty good job, so there’s indeed a need to expedite the search for candidates.”

After a brief discussion, two names were pushed forward.

Moriah and Mihawk.

Moriah was chosen because of his past battle with Kaidou. As Kaidou’s reputation grew stronger, Moriah, who once fought him, also garnered some attention.

However, Moriah greatly disliked this title. The description of having once fought Kaidou was a permanent scar on his heart.

As for Mihawk, his most renowned title now is not Hawkeye or the World’s Greatest Swordsman, but Navy Hunter.

As a lone wolf, he acts entirely on his whims. A bad mood can become his reason to hunt someone down, but there’s always been a rumor that anyone spotted rowing by him would trigger his pursuit.

Despite having a lot of Navy blood on his hands, the World Government doesn’t care about that, because he has enough prestige to intimidate some pirates and also serves as a wake-up call for the Navy, reminding them of their status.

During the discussions of these five people, two bats left Mary Geoise with special letters. Just like Morgans training numerous News Birds, the World Government also has its own exclusive communication tools—Communication Bats.

These bats will deliver messages based on addresses and search for their targets, always being a good assistant for internal message delivery.

To these people, the much-influential Seven Warlords of the Sea were just a few words’ worth, and they were equally indifferent to the world development topics discussed by the kings.

”That person still hasn’t awakened.”

”That’s for the best. The current situation isn’t something that person would want to see, but whether to settle accounts isn’t for us to decide. Let’s go, it’s time to swear allegiance.”

With that, the five walked towards the most mysterious place in Mary Geoise, Between the Flowers, where they did this during every world meeting.

Even other kings had to do the same because there’s an empty throne in Mary Geoise that no one has ever sat on, and the World Government insists that no one is allowed to sit on it.

This throne represents the vow of equality among the kingdoms, never to breed the desire for dictatorship, and around the throne lie twenty weapons, left by the original 20 kings.

This throne is called the symbol of peace, also expressing the World Government’s ideology that there is no unique king in this world.

But only the real power holders, the Five Elders, know that it wasn’t that no one has ever sat on it, but that the owner of that throne isn’t here at the moment.

...

The world meeting would continue for a while, with many topics to discuss every four years, and even some countries might form alliances through marriage. Many princes and princesses came here with the kings.

Sea transportation and communication are inconvenient, and without taking advantage of this world meeting, there might not be any chance to communicate in the future. Being one of the participants in the world meeting meant their country’s national strength was relatively strong among the affiliated nations, and naturally, they wanted to reach some agreements.

And these agreements might harm the interests of some non-meeting countries, but no one would care about that point. Not to mention those countries, even among the 50 countries participating in the world meeting, it’s not static.

world meeting participant countries, over 170 member countries in total, plus some countries under observation wanting to join, these countries together formed the World Government.

The competition here was similar to the internal competition within pirate crews. To gain more benefits, one had to climb up. The king of the Vorka Kingdom had been desperate to participate in this meeting for this reason.

”The Revolutionary Army is very dangerous. I think they should be hunted worldwide. This force is a disrespect to royal authority!”

”King Lucas, you’re too cautious. It’s just a rebellion, but the outbreak of Platinum Lead complicated their handling. The Freyvans incident can’t happen again, there’s nothing to worry about.”

”Yes, even the special medicine has come out, what’s there to be afraid of?”

Most kings believed there was nothing to fear from the Revolutionary Army, and they missed the best time to nip them in the bud.

As for the special medicine, between the Hundred Beasts Fruit release and the world meeting, this drug had already widely circulated, proven harmless through extensive testing, with effective outcomes in external trials.

This drug could indeed cause a change in Platinum Lead under certain conditions, but that wasn’t important because the external Platinum Lead wasn’t complicated to smelt or remove. However, no one had yet understood the principle behind this drug’s ability to cleanse internal Platinum Lead.

And that bizarre carbon element arrangement also became a new topic for many, like Caesar, being a Gas-Gas Fruit ability user, he was very interested in this structure. However, known scientific means couldn’t explain this unscientific existence.

Eventually, even Vegapunk allocated some time to Three Bodies for research on this subject.

”Interesting, interesting concept.....”

But he didn’t provide any conclusions, leaving just such a comment.

The progression of the world meeting is also related to the pirates; many pirates are taking the opportunity to plan plunder, and the Navy has expanded its patrols. If something happens to a king on their way to participate in the world meeting, they wouldn’t be able to hold their face.

And on Ghost Island, Yamato had somehow found a helmet and put it on her head, with special holes left for her horns, because today something very unreasonable happened.

Her morning training was canceled this morning, while others were training normally. This was too unusual for her; she even saw Kaidou, but he only showed a meaningful smile and did nothing.

Just that act had kept her nerves tense for several hours now.....
