Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 401: Chapter 400: The White City, Freyvans

However, in Yamato’s eyes, the so-called trials and playing aren’t much different. No matter how dangerous the trials are, they aren’t as perilous as those from her biological father. With time, Kaidou’s training intensity also increased bit by bit, and it can be said that her special training often hovered on the edge of death.

Though she wouldn’t die, she could deeply experience the feeling of being near death, which is the killing intent Kaidou honed after witnessing and participating in numerous battles between monsters and Navy elites on the battlefield and aboard the Rocks ship.

Compared to Supreme King Haki, that killing intent was a completely different feeling. Even Yamato felt fear the first time Kaidou locked onto her with his killing intent.

Arceus would prevent Kaidou from going overboard, but knowing there’s no danger to life didn’t mean she wouldn’t be afraid. Still, this kind of training had some benefits, as she appeared incredibly fearless in some sense.

”Hmm... where to go, I’ve already been to the West Sea, the New World and Paradise are too dangerous according to Father Doh. Maria, Robin, do you have any suggestions?”

Looking at the map in front of her, Yamato scratched her head, still unable to decide where to go.

The danger is relative to what he said. This time is different from before, Arceus doesn’t intend to intervene unless a life-threatening crisis appears. In actuality, having an officer follow casually would be sufficient.

Jack was entrusted to Mandfeish without worry. He’s not even of Disaster Level, but there’s a significant difference between an adopted daughter and an officer candidate. Not intending to act doesn’t equate to not going.

When choosing islands in the New World, one’s own territories make no sense as the probability of crises occurring in the depths of the Hundred Beasts approaches zero. If heading to other’s territories, Yamato wouldn’t be able to handle it.

Though she is far stronger than others her age, there’s still a long way to go for true growth.

The ideal activity area is the Four Seas, where she could encounter troubles, but the intensity would be appropriate.

Initially, the range she chose was within the Four Seas.

”I’m fine with anything, as long as you like it.”

Maria didn’t express any opinion regarding this matter, focusing on giving Alcremie a massage. For her, any place is the same.

”I agree, if possible, it’d be best to go somewhere related to ancient ruins.”

Robin actually had some targets, but from her understanding of Yamato, those places wouldn’t interest her, as they mostly involve archaeology and document studies.

Though Ohara in the West Sea is a holy land of archaeology, there are archaeological places worldwide. While they may not surpass Ohara in certain aspects, they have their own unique features.

However, this is Yamato’s trial, and Robin is just along for the ride.

”Ah... so conflicted. Looking at the map, I can’t figure out where to go.”

Seeing the names of the islands, Yamato tried to pick out one that seemed pleasing, but they all appeared similar.

”I remember that the New Tree of Omniscience has some introductions about the world’s culture. Why not take a look there?”

Within the massive vines generated, the surviving scholars of Ohara have established a new library, continuing the past name as a form of remembrance.

As Robin said, Ohara, which stores literature documents from around the world, also conducts research on global geography, as this is part of history.

”Great idea! Let’s go!”

Yamato is an action-oriented person, so she immediately grabbed them and found a resting Thousand-Year Dragon, conveniently reaching the Little Sky Island in the sky.

Robin was quite familiar with those books and materials, and after informing the people inside, she went up to the third floor, where the bookshelf sprouted arms and quickly retrieved several illustrators.

”These should be it. If you have no interest in the West Sea, records of most islands in the East Sea, South Sea, and North Sea are in here.”

The albums were very comprehensive, but Yamato overlooked an issue. This is a document collection from a history museum, not Morgans’ news paper, and upon arriving here, no updates have been added.

So even the newest albums are from several years ago, and time doesn’t stop. As time passes, each island undergoes significant changes.

For instance, Kuraigana Island recorded in some documents was once known as the Isle of Mist, but due to the gradual extinction brought by war, the number of baboons on the island has steadily increased.

”Fairyland Country of Freyvans, where the ground and trees within the national borders are as pure and flawless as the Ice and Snow Country in fairy tales, a country ethereal like a paradise on earth... Alright, it’s decided. Let’s go there.”

Looking at the photo in the album, Yamato decided on the first target of this journey: the Freyvans Kingdom, renowned as the White Town.

...

”Freyvans? Has she decided already?”

”Indeed, is there any issue?”

Upon hearing Yamato’s choice of destination, Kaidou unusually asked an extra question.

”Omanyte overheard some information earlier, from here to Freyvans’ distance... If nothing unexpected occurs on your set route, what you’ll be seeing isn’t a paradise but Hell.”

Kaidou handed a piece of intelligence to Arceus, which pertained to the World Government’s evacuation plan for Freyvans’ royalty. If not for special circumstances, royalty wouldn’t choose to leave their nation, indicating upcoming disaster.

”Let that girl witness the reality of the world. You’ve protected her too well. If you ask me, she should have seen what Hell looks like a few years ago.”

This is proof that Kaidou still thinks Yamato’s training has been rather light.

”If you do that, she’ll rebel. You can’t put too much pressure on a child, and things are already going well now.”

”Whatever. By the way, since it’s Freyvans, get another batch of Platinum Lead. It’s becoming increasingly expensive on the black market lately, and soon it’ll be even harder to acquire.”

Platinum Lead is a crucial mineral of Freyvans, a special lead ore in the crust. Platinum Lead can be used to produce utensils, coatings, sweet flavor seasonings, cosmetics, and is an essential raw material for some weapons.

Bullets made of Platinum Lead are known as top-quality ammunition.

This Platinum Lead can’t be replaced even in Wano Kuni, initially planning to casually send an officer, but since Yamato chose Freyvans, they might as well complete it along the way.

”Understood, I’ll handle the Nine Snakes’ matters first.”

Three years is about up, and since it was said to be three years back then, now it naturally involves sending them back. This matter also concerns the latter parts of the lives of most members of the Hundred Beasts...
