Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 431: Chapter 430: Queen Who Singlehandedly Changed the Course of Science

”Fuhuhuhu, these people do have the nerve to talk, Trebol, what’s the situation outside?”

”It seems that someone is inquiring about similar drugs at the pharmacy, and the price of platinum lead has also started to rebound, although the increase is limited.”

”That’s quick action, the price should go up a little more, but it definitely won’t return to its previous state. Get ready to contact the buyers.”

Even though the Hundred Beasts Fruit solved the platinum lead disease, the fact that platinum lead is poisonous can’t be changed. It’s evident that its usage will inevitably decrease in the future, only the military industry still can’t do without it.

However, having bought it at rock-bottom prices, they can still make a huge profit.

”By the way, where’s that kid?”

”You mean Law? He seemed to be watching a broadcast just now.”

”Bring him over.”

Doflamingo is somewhat interested in this new kid who joined his pirate crew because he saw an interesting look in Law’s eyes at that time, a look of wanting to destroy the world.

At this time, Law had already joined the Donquixote Pirates, but Rosinante had not communicated with him yet. To everyone, Rosinante was still a mute.

Law, too, was being nurtured as the new generation by Doflamingo. Although he only had three years left to live, if he’s lucky, he might survive. That’s what Doflamingo said when he joined.

Few people know the inside story of platinum lead, but Doflamingo happens to be one of them. The main business of the Donquixote Pirates was black market trading, with the resale of Devil Fruits being one of the main trading contents.

Although their trading scope is still only in the North Sea, they have already started expanding toward the Grand Line.

The tempting promise Doflamingo painted for Law back then was the possibility of finding a Devil Fruit to cure him.

As the most experienced Devil Fruit dealer on the Sea, he knows very well which fruit can cure Law, and that fruit is his target - the Op-Op Fruit, a miraculous fruit recorded to perform Eternal Life Surgery on others.

”Doffy, Law is here.”

A bruised and battered Law was brought over. In this regard, the Donquixote family is somewhat similar to the Hundred Beasts; they are both nurturing the new generation internally.

Lao G teaches Body Techniques, Gladius teaches shooting, and Diamante teaches swordsmanship, though the effects are far from Kaidou’s training.

”Law, you’ve seen the news and the broadcast, right?”

”I have.”

”I’m sorry to burst your bubble, but that is not your lifeline; there’s an eighty percent chance this is fake.”

He believes this is fake because he knows the inside story of the platinum lead disease. He can’t be sure because he doesn’t understand medical issues, but the way the Hundred Beasts Fruit makes money seems strange to him.

If it were really effective, lowering the price a bit, letting those in labor-intensive jobs buy the medicine, and switching to long-term medication would yield the highest profits.

But they clearly want to make a quick buck while also making a name for themselves. This can’t be his evidence, but he trusts his instincts.

”How is that possible? Sister Misu clearly survived...”

”Oh? Is that nun really from Freyvans?”

”Yes, she has always lived in Freyvans, and when she fled, I saw her collapse in a pool of blood...”

At this point, Law suddenly stopped. He had temporarily overlooked this due to excitement: the nun in the newspaper claimed she wasn’t in Freyvans, but he had seen the nun shot with his own eyes.

”Fuhuhuhu, Law, someone is lying; your eyes have deceived you, or this is a scam from the start. Do you know what type of enterprise the Hundred Beasts Fruit is?”

”No.”

”Pirates’ white gloves, the surface-level cash cow for the Hundred Beasts Pirates, one of the New World’s three monstrous pirate crews. Pirates call them the Sea Emperor, and the word of pirates can’t be easily trusted.

However, I’m not sure about the truth of this matter; you can try this medicine, but I won’t foot the bill for you unless you can prove your value exceeds the sixty million Belly for the entire course.”

Sixty million is no small sum. At this moment, Law still couldn’t prove his worth, but Doflamingo saw this as a test. He handed Law an address.

”This family frequently uses platinum lead products and will likely purchase the medicine. Whether you can persuade others to help you depends on yourself.”

But change always outpaces plans. Just when he wanted to see what Law would do, an alert suddenly came from outside.

”Not good, Doffy, those Navy guys have caught up again!”

”How could they be so quick? Never mind, retreat first!”

Due to constant interference from the Navy, he had already sent his own undercover agent into the Navy some time ago. However, recently, the Navy seems to be able to track his whereabouts constantly, which is quite vexing to him.

He hadn’t realized at this point that his own younger brother had become an undercover agent for the Navy, occasionally delivering intelligence to them.

Meanwhile, in the North Sea, Dragon’s enterprise was very successful. Stimulated by the Freyvans incident, the kings of the two neighboring kingdoms had lost a significant amount of public support.

Coupled with the leadership of powerful figures like Kuma and Dragon, the palace was quickly overthrown. This revolution was considered a partial success, and Dragon absorbed quite a few key members during this mission.

The special medicine from the Hundred Beasts Fruit was selling well, and the new department had also made progress, while many people were trying to crack that medicine.

There were no patent protection laws here, and with the ever-present black market, the Underworld didn’t care about that kind of thing; they do whatever makes money.

But they’ve never been able to decipher the key ingredient, which they see as crucial to cracking the medicine.

Not everyone fails at this, as Caesar, researching new weapons, has been cracking it for some time. Having worked in the World Government’s Science Corps, he naturally has his own abilities.

He also figured out what it is, but that’s precisely what puzzles him.

”Why is the carbon element arranged like this? Carbon elements arranged like this have such an effect??? This is unscientific!”

His previously established worldview almost collapsed. Although its composition is very complex, certain ingredients can still find similar plants or herbs.

Only this crystal, he couldn’t understand at all.

It wasn’t just him; many who reached this stage of the research started having some strange thoughts.

And this is the thing Queen created according to Arceus’ instructions, guiding Diancie. Carbon elements aren’t just compressed into diamonds, and with Diancie’s ability combined with the inherently unscientific power of Pokemon, this mysterious crystal was thus born.

Queen swore, if anyone can crack this thing, he won’t eat Mochi Red Bean Soup for the rest of his life.
