Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 429: Chapter 428: Hundred Beasts Fruit Press Conference

”It’s over! Everyone! Stop idling, we’re moving out!”

The live broadcasting Radio Snail was turned off, but none of the core members of the World Economic News Agency stopped; instead, they began preparing the headquarters’ hot air balloon for relocating the island.

Even if the situation with Tesoro had smoothed over some issues, it couldn’t solve all the factional relations within the World Government. If he could really make all the officials listen to him, he wouldn’t be in this position.

To be safe, he has always been firing shots and changing locations.

”Are you coming with us for the move? Although we can’t take you to the destination, we can let you off halfway without a problem.”

Morgans’ secret bases are limited, and this piece of news made him willing to abandon one base because it could stir up world-shattering waves, but the next base couldn’t be revealed to these outsiders.

”No need, we have our own way to relocate.”

Then Tesoro set sail with Misu to leave this place, and on the boat, some people had already been waiting for a long time.

”Chapu, chapu.”

An Audino took its ear off a radar-like instrument. The pirate world already had radar technology, but it was rarely used; many wooden sailing ships simply couldn’t accommodate such equipment.

The skewed tech tree made purely ironclad ships very rare, and this semi-biological radar was also improved based on Audino’s characteristics. It hadn’t detected any other ships approaching.

”Let’s go, we’re on a tight schedule.”

A man dressed like a Kamen Rider urged Tesoro to set sail quickly. This was actually King, but he had changed clothes. Staying in Wano Kuni all the time didn’t suit his character, so occasionally, when there were enough people, he would still come out.

The reason he came was because, in this heavily face-blind world, some people’s eyes were practically useless, especially within the photographer’s organization.

They’re weak, yet inexplicably strong; they manage to get photos from various battlefields, angles, and strong monsters, and they all survive.

They’re strong, yet ridiculously inept, leaving the lens cap on, unable to find the person they’re photographing—such things happened regularly. King, Cracker, and Shaina are examples.

Their true faces were never discovered; Shaina and King at least wore masks and helmets, and Cracker’s wanted poster only showed a biscuit shell.

For such a mission, Olga would have been the perfect choice, but the first half of her career was advancing earlier than expected, and she was currently planning actions on that side.

So King changed into a brand-new leather suit, and Smeargle helped him change his color. With the flames on his back extinguished, almost no one could recognize him as King. His companion was also a Greninja, a newcomer who had never been seen before.

As the Hundred Beasts moved toward the scheduled address for the press conference, the doctors’ community and some scholars worldwide were getting excited.

”Platinum Lead Disease was conquered? How is that possible? How did they manage it?”

”Professor! Your hypothesis was right, Platinum Lead Disease is not a contagious disease, it’s an Ore Disease, someone has verified it!”

Shocked or sentimental, this news was most impactful to doctors from various places—it was undoubtedly a great upheaval in the medical world for a universally recognized terminal disease to be wholly conquered.

Meanwhile, some looked at it with disdain, thinking it was a hoax, wanting to expose such misleading claims to prove themselves.

Some doctors intended to save people, while others valued their reputation more. With such a significant stir caused by the Hundred Beasts Fruit, it was a natural opportunity for them.

Based on the address and date announced by Tesoro, those who could make it had already set into action, while those who couldn’t or didn’t have time started contacting others to go on their behalf.

The live broadcast and subsequent newspapers could never match what the actual scene had to offer.

...

On the day of the Hundred Beasts Fruit conference, many reporters and professionals from all fields had already arrived. As time passed, Tesoro showed up punctually and dropped a bombshell the moment he arrived.

”Ladies and gentlemen, I know you have many questions. Seeing is believing. Next, we will disclose our research content—this breakthrough was achieved by our dedicated team through years of devoted effort!”

Then a large image was projected using a projection Radio Snail, displaying the molecular structure of Platinum Lead. Tesoro himself didn’t understand what followed; the gist was that the molecular structure had been entirely destroyed.

”If there are professionals present, you should be able to comprehend what this means. This is our method of treating Platinum Lead Disease: solving it from the root by allowing Platinum Lead to be smoothly excreted from the body.”

However, the atmosphere below was different from what Tesoro had imagined. Many doctors couldn’t understand what exactly was happening, yet those studying mineral metals were whispering amongst themselves, seemingly tense and recalculating something.

”Is it true? Did we have the wrong approach all along?”

”Indeed, if this is the case, it’s feasible, but... how did they achieve it?”

”I don’t know. What exactly is this thing? How can it achieve this?”

The scene gradually turned chaotic, and only then did Tesoro reveal a satisfied smile—this was the reaction he wanted to see.

”Mr. Tesoro! How did you do this?”

”Mr. Tesoro! How did you discover this substance?”

Questions came one after another, and Tesoro took out the paper they had prepared.

”Ladies and gentlemen, don’t worry, the detailed process has been meticulously documented in the paper, and we’ll release it shortly. Apart from a few confidential bits, all methods and principles will be shared!”

He then signaled his assistant to distribute the prepared materials to everyone, while those below started transmitting it out through various means, even reaching Vegapunk’s lab.

However, Vegapunk wasn’t interested in this, so Caesar Clown continued to browse the content. Despite his lack of ethics, he had a knack for chemical materials.

Very quickly, he filtered out the unnecessary parts and pinpointed the crucial details.

”The principle is sound, and it indeed disrupts the Platinum Lead structure... but what exactly is this stuff?”

Their published material wasn’t of much significance because this principle applied to many things. The key was the substance that disrupted the Platinum Lead structure—Caesar struggled to comprehend what it was.

Not only him, but everyone who saw the data couldn’t fathom it.

In reality, even the paper’s author, Queen, didn’t know what the substance was, for it was written in reverse from Diancie’s process of condensing Platinum Lead.

That belonged to the powers of Pokemon—something never before seen in this world.
