Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 427: Chapter 426: Revolution

”Are you here to kill me? Then you’re early, I was just about to end it myself. If you don’t mind, wait a bit for me.”

An outsider had appeared in his camp, which would normally be a terrifying situation, but everything had become indifferent to him.

At this moment, his heart was already filled with a desire for death—how could someone who wanted to die fear the threat of death?

”Do you think death can atone for your sins?”

”... What do you know! I was the one who gave that order! I ordered Fred to lure those children to one place! It was I who made him shoot!”

Fred was the soldier who had previously spoken to Sister Misu and had committed suicide due to unbearable pressure, but his suicide shifted more pressure onto his superior officers.

The truth about Freyvans nearly shattered his worldview, and the questioning from the other side became the last straw that broke him inside.

He wanted to stand up, but a sudden force on his arm prevented him from moving, and a sudden wind blew through the camp.

”You think you’re guilty, but why don’t you consider where the root cause lies? The news that Platinum Lead disease was contagious was announced by the King—do you really think they didn’t know the truth?”

”...”

”You are guilty, but death is not the way to atone for it. The true culprits still sit on the throne, seeing you merely as tools for gaining profit.”

As he spoke, a dossier was pulled out. He had seen the information before; it was the kingdom’s call to recruit miners.

It stated that the virus in Freyvans had been eradicated, so they planned to resume mining platinum lead. However, Morgans had exposed the true situation of the platinum lead, which halted the plan.

”Who are you?”

”You can call me Dragon. We’re planning something significant, and here is a brand-new beginning.”

The green hood was taken off, revealing a face without eyebrows, which looked somewhat fierce. A string of square tattoos covered his left cheek, their meaning unknown, seemingly symbolizing something.

Dragon, full name Monkey D. Dragon, son of Hero Garp and father of Luffy. After Luffy was born, he gradually vanished without a trace, and even Garp didn’t know where he had gone.

During this time, he had been secretly plotting something major—a plan to overthrow the World Government.

He had been searching for like-minded partners, and witnessing the situation in Freyvans made him realize this was an opportunity.

The countries surrounding Freyvans were the first places he planned to act formally.

”Something... significant?”

”Although the King is a king, when he no longer protects the people and instead wants to drain the blood and flesh of the civilians, why should we let him continue sitting on the throne?

As long as they covet the profits of platinum lead, this will not end. Defeat them and seal the platinum lead mines. Only then will the tragedy of Freyvans stop from playing out again.

This isn’t your fault, nor is it the fault of your soldiers. You’ve already seen the King’s ugly face—do you want to continue risking your life for him?”

Dragon’s words seemed to awaken something in him, but he still hesitated.

”This isn’t over. As long as the Kings pay the exorbitant Celestial Tribute to join the World Government, these tragedies will keep occurring.

Since you no longer fear death, would you be willing to join us?”

”You won’t be able to storm the Royal City. Even if I persuade my soldiers, there is a far stronger Guard Army inside the kingdom. You’re just joking...”

”How do you know something won’t work if you haven’t tried it? By the way, if you’re still uncomfortable inside, do you need me to find a priest to hear your confession?”

”A priest?”

Before he could understand the meaning of the word, a sudden loud noise occurred outside, creating a large gap in the sturdy city walls, and some soldiers with bandaged heads started charging forward.

He hurriedly walked out of the tent, just in time to see a tall man holding a Bible.

”Dragon, it’s already begun.”

He seemed not to like speaking. After saying this sentence, he stood firm as a pole. He was a partner Dragon found in the South Sea, the former king of Sobel Kingdom—Bartholomew Kuma.

”Whether to watch, join, or stop us, do as you please. This world is already stirring!”

As Dragon’s words fell, a sudden gust of wind blew through the street, and a fine rain began to fall from the sky. In the blink of an eye, both Dragon and Kuma had vanished, leaving only soldiers rushing over after hearing the commotion.

”Sir...”

After hesitating for a moment, he returned to his tent, and when he picked up the Radio Snail, he accidentally saw the cloth strip left on the table.

”Yes... The wind has risen...”

With the cloth strip tied around his head, a battle began, and a group named the Revolutionary Army gradually appeared in the public eye.

Likewise, in the North Sea, many people were watching this news.

”Hehehehehe, such courage, daring to reveal news like this? Hundred Beasts Fruit, Hundred Beasts, interesting. They’re not like those simple-minded brutes.”

Within the Donquixote Clan, Doflamingo was laughing heartily as he read the newspaper.

”Doffy, should we try to make contact with them?”

”They wouldn’t think much of us. In their eyes, we’re just small fry. Stick to the original plan. How’s the platinum lead acquisition going?”

”The plan is going smoothly, but an unknown force is also making large purchases of platinum lead. Should we take action, Doffy?”

”No, whoever prepared so ample funds must be well prepared. Now is not the time to offend those aware of the inside story. Hehehehehe. This world is becoming more and more interesting.”

Many have substantial assets, but liquid cash is another matter. With the news just beginning to ferment, these people started to buy platinum lead in large quantities, even as its price plummeted.

Without inside information, Doflamingo wouldn’t believe it. And those aware of the inside story are either the World Government or the originators of this whole incident, conflicting with his family’s development plan if they clash now.

Besides Doflamingo, many in the Donquixote family were also reading the newspaper. baby-5 even found Law with one in hand.

”Na, Na, Law, look, it’s your country on there. Why are you crying?”

Just after saying this, she was scared off by Law’s fierce gaze. After escaping from Freyvans, he chose to join the Donquixote family for revenge. Seeing the truth of Freyvans exposed naturally made him emotional.

This matter was fermenting worldwide, and the press conference for Hundred Beasts Fruit was also nearly prepared...
