Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 428: Chapter 427: The Twisted Nun and Morgans’ Live News Broadcast

To achieve maximum benefits, you need to let this message gradually ferment and bring out the follow-up when it intensifies.

Tesoro had already left Ghost Island with Sister Misu, and he was communicating with her at the moment.

”This is a live stream, a bit different from what we previously discussed. To ensure the plan proceeds smoothly, we can’t mention the World Government too much this time, do you understand?”

Originally, Tesoro had prepared to convince her, as he thought Misu, having gone through so much, might not see things clearly.

However, it turned out he was worrying too much.

”I understand, the moment of judgment will come sooner or later, this is just a precursor, the Lord’s judgment will eventually arrive....”

”Are you a nun, right?”

”Yes, Mr. Tesoro, is there a problem?”

”Why do I feel... you’re more like one of those lunatics from the Inquisition?”

Tesoro doesn’t believe in religion, but he has seen other missionaries, and he’s witnessed the battles between those so-called Inquisition members. Those people are a group of fanatics, who fear nothing when it comes to their faith, truly daring to go all out.

If it weren’t for the pirate islands’ world preventing religious forces from gaining much traction, and only those religions that cling to the World Government being able to thrive to a certain scale, the religious issues would have turned into a disaster.

However, the World Government isn’t particularly interested, just treating them as a special group.

”I talked with Miss Shaina, and I think her ideology is correct. This world needs a purification...”

”...”

Now Tesoro knew why. A nun whose faith had collapsed met another fanatic while reshaping her beliefs, a fanatic who advocated a militant path of revenge.

And so a gentle nun changed in this way, but the good news is she hasn’t turned into one of those lunatics from the Inquisition.

”By the way, Mr. Tesoro, I’ve been discussing doctrines with Miss Shaina lately, would you be interested in hearing some of it?”

”Maybe next time, let’s first go over the script, this is also an order from Lord Arceus.”

”Alright, what a pity...”

The benefit of such fanatics is here; as long as it’s related to faith, they cooperate very well. The troublesome part is the same.

For instance, if someone says the wrong thing in front of Shaina, unless Arceus stops her, Shaina will definitely flip the table; Ulti was once harshly taught this lesson.

The fact that she managed to subdue a tsundere’s mouth shows just how intense her influence is.

He also heard Misu has been practicing martial arts with Shaina lately. Although she’s older, she might become a violent member in the future.

He could already imagine some slightly terrifying missionary methods.

...

Following the Eternal Pose provided by Morgans, Tesoro and Misu arrived on a little-known island. Such islands aren’t uncommon in The Sea. Throughout a long history, the locations of many islands have changed, and the World Government has erased much history.

Especially during that blank hundred years, coupled with the unique geographical environment of the Grand Line, and using special ocean currents, some islands have become isolated, with their magnetic fields undetectable by regular Log Poses.

To find them requires specially made poses, and this is one of Morgans’ many bases. Although he can’t find these islands, News Birds, with their unique magnetic field sensing ability, can detect the existence of these islands.

These hidden bases are also a crucial factor in his rise.

”Wahaha, welcome, welcome, the live stream is ready.”

Before the Hundred Beasts Fruit launch event, Morgans had another live stream meeting here, similar to the live broadcast of the summit war, but not on such a large scale.

Although Tesoro had smoothed the paths, it was limited to the product launch. Officials wouldn’t dare to get involved in matters directly poking the spine of the World Government.

The World Government isn’t likely to use official power to assist with such matters; remaining silent and issuing a statement after the event is the best attitude.

Aside from that, Morgans has the most influence in this aspect.

”Lights! Makeup! Hurry up and get to work! Sister Misu, over here, you need to apply a bit of makeup.”

One by one, Radio Snails were awakened, and the writers of the World Economic News Agency were ready to write their pieces. Although they had already prepared some articles based on intelligence, live broadcasts might change things, and they would rewrite based on feedback from different places.

Due to being on camera and the lighting, the makeup of the characters was different than usual. Two girls quickly prepared the base makeup, and then they signaled to Morgans.

As the president of the World Economic News Agency, Morgans was also the lead reporter and part-time host here.

”Ahem, ahem, good day, viewers, welcome to this rare live broadcast. You must have seen our newspaper, but today we have found even more explosive news. We accidentally found a survivor of the Freyvans incident, Sister Misu!”

”Although she looks very healthy now, just a few months ago, she was a patient suffering from Platinum Lead disease. Let’s hear from this nun about the specifics.”

Saying so, Morgans gave the camera to Misu.

”Earlier, I left Freyvans due to church affairs, only to hear about the blockade on Freyvans in the outside world.

Later, while staying at a friend’s house, I fell ill. Due to false news from outside, my friend mistakenly thought it was contagious and drove me out. My body grew weaker, and when I had nowhere else to go, the Hundred Beasts Fruit rescue station took me in...”

These are slightly modified experiences, and the nun’s lengthy description didn’t attract much attention. However, Morgans continuously created hotspot topics to maintain engagement.

As time was about right, the key topic of this time finally emerged.

”Their doctors have cured Platinum Lead disease.....”

At these words, some doctors and scholars following the event showed expressions of disbelief, as they had long concluded that Platinum Lead disease was incurable.

But as the camera turned, Tesoro had already appeared here, placing some papers in front of the Radio Snail’s eyes.

”I know you might not believe this, but here are detailed treatment reports and analysis papers. Tomorrow, these will be specially released with the newspaper as an appendix.

Although Platinum Lead is toxic, our expert team has managed to find a way to cure this disease after extensive research.

Whether in its active phase or latent period, our medicine will work effectively. We will hold a product launch in half a month to unveil all the details.”

Tesoro revealed the final details, marking the last step before their profit plan...
