The Forensic Doctor Better Than a Detective

Upon hearing Jiang An’s final conclusion, everyone slightly parted their lips, finding it difficult to accept at the moment.

After all, this perspective indeed had a very big leap of imagination.

The explanations to the three contradictions earlier were exceptionally brilliant, impressing not just the young officers but also the seasoned detectives.

From three contradictions to three reasonable explanations, as Jiang An initially said, it’s all essentially about a criminal motive, a series of triggered consecutive criminal acts.

However, due to intervening factors, the entire criminal act appears as a fragmented line-segmented process.

It’s like driving from point A to point B.

But in the process from point A to B, unexpected points C and D appear.

These points C and D were not anticipated, possibly occurring due to traffic accidents, traffic light malfunctions, or even road construction.

Returning to this case at hand, in Jiang An’s view, the killer’s aim upon entering the premises was actually to sexually assault the female.

Perhaps the killer initially believed that Li Qian was alone in the room, intending to assault her.

Just as he was preparing to commit the act, he suddenly heard sounds from the bathroom, causing him to abandon Li Qian as a target, and shift focus to the bathroom.

After committing the act in the bathroom, he moved Li Jian’s body out.

When attempting to move Jiang Shan’s body, he was compelled to give up due to some reason.

As for his actions concerning Jiang Shan, it was because of his physical incapacity, indeed an intervening factor.

However, this intervening factor wasn’t during the crime, but stems from his unique constitution.

After hearing Jiang An’s brilliant analysis, Vice Director Wang displayed an appreciative expression, saying, ”Mr. Jiang, I’ve always respected your investigative thinking, and now I’m impressed with your crime scene reconstruction skills as well. Admirable! Admirable!”

Immediately after, Director Hou chuckled and said, ”Mr. Jiang, your ability to reconstruct the scene, transforming static materials into dynamic processes, isn’t something just anyone can achieve.”

”Looking across the entire province, it’s likely only Jiang An can reach this level.”

Director Hou glanced around at everyone, stating, ”I think, at this moment, we ought to give applause.”

Following his words, thunderous applause erupted in the meeting room.

Everyone looked at Jiang An with fervent eyes, as if seeing their idol.

After all, for detectives, having a unique analytical perspective and thought process for cases is greatly appreciated.

This is particularly evident within detective teams.

Detectives don’t worship those in high positions.

If in a leadership role, you’re unable to solve cases, no one will look up to you.

However, if you possess exceptional skills, even if you’re young or lack high emotional intelligence, strong competence will earn you respect.

After all, the pressure to solve cases is immense, and an unsolved case means many overtime hours.

Moreover, unresolved cases can lead to demotions or disciplinary actions.

If a case can be solved quickly, people can spend more time with their families and even share in the success.

After the applause died down, Qin Feng smiled awkwardly and said, ”Mr. Jiang, although we’re both detective captains...”

”I feel like my skills compare to yours like a student to a teacher.”

Beside him, Mr. Chen teased, ”Captain Qin, you surely don’t spend your time studying cases.”

Qin Feng responded, ”Mr. Chen, this isn’t something achievable through sheer hard work.”

”Mr. Jiang’s detective talent is high; not just in Guangling, in the whole province he’s among the best.”

Upon hearing this, Jiang An responded, ”Captain Qin, you’re too kind.”

”The three points of contradiction and analysis earlier were just my personal views without any official language.”

”As discussed during our analysis, the case development has many uncertain factors.”

”And these uncertainties might lead my analysis of the case to be biased.”

”Like my analysis of the deceased’s individual defect characteristics, it’s not entirely certain; it’s just from a normal standpoint, I feel there’s a special cause making this suspect unable or not willing.”

”This incapacity forces him to adopt unusual means to vent his inner desires.”

Mr. Chen nodded and said, ”Mr. Jiang, to be honest, your three-point analysis is unconventional with strong explanatory power.”

”I’ve been in criminal investigation for many years, and have some insights, but this case, I indeed didn’t understand.”

”Especially with significant anomalies at the scene and with the corpses, the anomaly you mentioned, individually seen is odd, but when viewed as a whole, everything makes sense.”
