The Forensic Doctor Better Than a Detective

”I believe his purpose was to commit a crime.”

”Whether it’s the position of the body, the state of the victim’s buttons, or the killer’s painstaking efforts to move the body, they are all for the same purpose.”

”However, some may ask why the body that was most severely harmed turned out to be Jiang Shan and not Li Qian?”

After a brief pause, Jiang An said, ”I think while he was assaulting Li Qian, he suddenly realized someone else was showering, which became the reason he terminated the assault on Li Qian.”

”Therefore, I believe he broke the buttons before entering the bathroom to assault Jiang Shan.”

Upon hearing this, Director Hou and Deputy Director Chen Guan both nodded.

These explanations sounded very logical to them.

Because, in such a situation, the possibility of redirecting the crime target and terminating the criminal act completely exists.

Immediately, Jiang An continued, ”This is why I think the first contradiction cannot be considered a contradiction, as it pertains to the criminal motive shifting from A to B—fundamentally, the criminal target merely changed to another woman, essentially still women.”

Upon hearing this, some people inadvertently picked up their pens to take notes.

”Very classic.”

”Summarized very well.”

An old policeman shook his head.

The essence of the criminal target is women, only shifting from A to B.

They wrote down this sentence in their notebooks.

Then Jiang An continued, ”Regarding the second contradiction, why did the perpetrator dispose of the two bodies differently?”

Jiang An picked up his teacup, took a sip, and continued, ”From the result, Li Qian’s body was indoors, while Jiang Shan’s body was in the water.”

”From a spatio-temporal environment, the gap is significant, but the place of death is the same.”

”This is indeed very contradictory! However, one thing we need to note is Mr. Chen leading the team to dredge the river.”

”We know that the river is in a static state, but why did our dredging team go back and forth twice without finding the suitcase?”

”Even though we don’t know the color or size of the suitcase now, it can be confirmed it can accommodate a person.”

”Furthermore, the pattern of livor mortis on Jiang Shan’s side indirectly indicates the suitcase can entirely fit a person, meaning the volume is definitely not small.”

”Confirming the water is static and not finding the suitcase means one thing: the suitcase never entered the water.”

”So, why didn’t the suitcase enter the water?”

”The suitcase’s purpose is to transport the body. Based on normal thought, no one would use a suitcase previously transporting a body.”

”If not for personal use, the perpetrator must have other objectives.”

After a pause, Jiang An said, ”Then, I believe the other objective is to transport another body.”

Upon hearing this, Qin Feng clapped his hands and said, ”Wow, now it finally makes sense.”

”I kept thinking earlier, are we really to take it for personal use?”

”How bold would that be? But thinking about it now, is it for another purpose?”

Then Jiang An continued, ”Therefore, I think the killer left the suitcase for another purpose, which is to come back to transport another body.”

”Of course, some may ask why didn’t he immediately come back to transport the body after dumping it.”

”Regarding this, I currently don’t have enough reason, but I think, at least from the perpetrator’s perspective, coming back then was too conspicuous.”

”So, from a crime cost perspective, I speculate the killer might have chosen to dump the body again the next night.”

”However, unfortunately, the crime scene had been discovered by then.”

After a moment of silence, Jiang An concluded, ”Question, isn’t this an essential intervening factor preventing the killer from dumping the second body far away?”

”Therefore, I conclude, from this perspective, the killer did not dump the second body; fundamentally, there wasn’t enough time.”

”I even suspect that during our field investigation, we cannot rule out the killer was nearby, only that we didn’t notice.”

Upon hearing this, the officers showed expressions of surprise.

Though they were unwilling to believe it, calming down and thinking, such a possibility indeed exists.

It is not unusual for some criminals to return to the crime scene.

Of course, there are many purposes for returning.

Perhaps their belongings were left at the crime scene.

Or maybe to confirm whether the victim is dead.

Like today’s case, to better destroy evidence.

At this moment, everyone listened with shining eyes, deeply immersed in the delightful analysis.

Although Jiang An appeared very young, with thick, straight hair, his thought process and logical sequence convinced everyone.

Mr. Chen and Director Hou both picked up their pens and recorded the key points of the analysis in their notebooks.

Then Jiang An was about to present the analysis of the third contradiction, he began, ”Regarding the third contradiction, I actually think it shouldn’t be called a contradiction but an anomaly.”

”We saw many skin-like injuries on Jiang Shan, not severe, but distributed in special places—all pivotal private areas.”

”So why do such special injuries appear in these key areas?”

”I think it is actually an expression of the killer’s desire.”

”According to common sense, human desire is cyclical; the more he uses abnormal methods to express, the more it shows he can’t express through normal means.”

”When normal expression is impossible, only anomalies remain.”

Upon hearing this, everyone’s faces showed a shock.

This analysis method is indeed very reasonable, with no deficiencies.

After a brief pause, Jiang An continued the analysis, ”We found through laboratory tests, there are no male components in Jiang Shan’s body, and this has been confirmed.”

”So is there any chemical substance indicating safety measures?”

”The evidence has been sent to the Jiangcheng City Public Security Bureau for examination. Results aren’t out yet, but I feel very likely they might be negative.”

”Because on this body, I see an abnormal display of male desire, and this abnormal desire is very intense.”

”Next, I have a bold hypothesis; this perpetrator’s expression of desire is very unusual, possibly because he is a man with incomplete functions.”

Upon hearing this, officers began to look at each other.

This... what is going on?

Ancient eunuchs had no desire but a male shape.

Could this be having desires but no male shape? Or missing shape?

Two minutes later, Jiang An looked around the venue and said, ”Maybe it’s hard for everyone to understand.”

”Now, let me give an example, I encountered a case in Jiangcheng where a wife punished her husband for cheating by directly removing the genitalia, keeping testes.”

”Having testes induces desire but with no way to release, this manner is more cruel than what ancient eunuchs suffered.”

Upon hearing this, many officers showed slight changes in expressions.

As they were all men, the matter deeply resonated.

After a long silence, Jiang An lastly said, ”Therefore, regarding the point of the third contradiction, I think it’s precisely the direction we’re investigating next...”
