The Forensic Doctor Better Than a Detective

After hearing Jiang An’s deduction, Deputy Director Chen Guan nodded.

He said, ”Mr. Jiang, you and Director Hou have come to our Guangling, and you’ve already investigated one case. Now, you have to travel to Zhujiang City to search for the death site of the first crime scene.”

”As the deputy director in charge, I really feel sorry in my heart.”

As he spoke, his face showed a sincere and guilty expression.

Although criminal investigation is a very arduous task, Jiang An is, after all, here with Director Hou as members of the task force.

You should know that in the field of criminal investigation at the public security bureau, expert teams are often responsible for diagnosing and strategizing, while specific investigative measures rely on each locality’s own criminal investigation forces to complete.

But when Jiang An and Director Hou came, they truly took the Guangling City Public Security Bureau’s cases as a mission on their shoulders.

At this moment, Deputy Director Chen Guan’s eyes were slightly red and his tone a bit choked up.

He went over and held Jiang An’s hand, saying, ”Mr. Jiang, I have been in criminal investigation work for nearly 25 years and have never truly admired someone from the heart.”

”But today, I must speak truthfully: in my mind, you not only have outstanding professional abilities, but your personal virtues are also worth learning.”

”Coming to our Guangling, without any external motives, you fully integrated into our team, treating the case as your own to investigate. Admirable, admirable.”

No sooner had he spoken than Director Hou quickly said, ”Mr. Chen, Mr. Jiang is not only devoted to Guangling but across the province, he shows great dedication to puzzling case investigations. He approaches every case as if he is a protagonist; this I can testify.”

Chen Guan nodded repeatedly, ”Admiration! Admiration! From the bottom of my heart.”

At this moment, Director Hou smiled and said, ”Mr. Jiang, I have known Mr. Chen for nearly a dozen years, and we’ve jointly investigated many cases.”

”But I don’t hold such a high status in his eyes, which truly makes us all envious.”

After finishing, the room erupted in warm laughter.

Amidst the tense criminal case investigation, it was like a seasoning, momentarily easing the nerves.

After a long while, Jiang An exhaled and said, ”Mr. Chen, Director Hou, you both flatter me.”

”Whether in Jiangcheng or Guangling, I have always adhered to one viewpoint: that criminal investigation spans a thousand miles and seeks out the truth worldwide.”

”No matter where or when we are, criminal investigation is a family gathering.”

”As long as we unite as one, and work together, we can surely solve this case and bring out the truth.”

Upon hearing this, Chen Guan was excited, ”Good! Then Director Hou and I will wait for your glorious return in Guangling.”

After finishing, Jiang An and Qin Feng, along with Wan, quickly left the office to prepare for departure.

However, upon reaching the parking garage, Jiang An suddenly said, ”Mr. Qin, please arrange for a technical officer to join us, and bring some Luminol Reagent.”

”Luminol?”

Hearing this, Jiang An nodded. ”This is used for showing blood traces.”

Qin Feng immediately understood, ”You mean to use this at the first scene to reveal?”

Jiang An nodded and said, ”Yes, we should carry it with us. When we reach Zhujiang City, unfamiliar with the place, it would waste time finding it temporarily.”

”Okay, I’ll arrange it right away.”

Five minutes later, a young technician wearing glasses, carrying a camera and Luminol Reagent, quickly walked over.

Upon seeing Jiang An, he was excited and said, ”Mr. Jiang, it’s a great honor to go out with you today, it’s the dream I’ve longed for!”

Wow, with those opening words, Jiang An was quite surprised.

He couldn’t help but smile and said, ”You’re modest, we’re learning from each other.”

Standing nearby, Qin Feng, envious, said, ”Mr. Jiang, you are warmly received wherever you go.”

”Not only in Mr. Chen’s eyes are you highly regarded, but among young officers, you are like a teacher.”

”I’m so envious that I can’t sleep at night, haha.”

Jiang An laughed and said, ”The hat of praise is too high; falling off will hurt more.”

Then, the four of them drove away from the Guangling City Public Security Bureau.

On the way, Wan and the young technician took turns driving.

Originally, they covered the 1200-kilometer journey in just 11 hours.

When they reached Zhujiang City, it was already 5:40 pm.

Fortunately, the unit in Pearl River was just about to close at 6 o’clock, so they drove straight to the housing bureau in Zhujiang City.

At the housing bureau window, Qin Feng showed his credentials and explained the reason for their visit.

The desk clerk immediately searched through the internal network system for all residences owned by Jiang Xiang in Zhujiang City.

Soon after, a statement was handed over.

The clerk said, ”Officer, Jiang Xiang has two properties in Zhujiang City, one in Pearl River Garden and the other in Pearl River Scenic Spot. The specific house numbers are here.”

Qin Feng asked, ”Are those the only two? Have there been any subleases or sales?”

The clerk queried the system again, ”No transaction records, these two were purchased 15 years ago.”

Then, the four of them took the address list and left the housing bureau.

Standing at the housing bureau entrance, Qin Feng looked at the addresses of the two apartments in his hand and said, ”Mr. Jiang, where do you think we should start our visit?”
