The Forensic Doctor Better Than a Detective

Quickly, the SWAT team, police dog team, and the patrol team from the police station together formed ten small squads.

Wang Fei, the police dog team leader, brought over Zhang Xiang’s clothing and said, ”Mr. Chen, now I plan to place Zhang Xiang’s clothes in front of each police dog to let them identify the scent as the basis for our upcoming search and rescue operation.”

Chen Guan nodded and said, ”Our police dog team has been established for three years. Over these three years, a lot of manpower and resources have been invested.”

”Each dog’s monthly living expenses are higher than those of every policeman.”

”Let’s see the performance of your police dog team today.”

Upon hearing this, Wang Fei, the police dog team leader, was slightly stunned, feeling the heavy pressure on his shoulders.

He promptly said, ”Mr. Chen, rest assured, our entire team will definitely give it our all.”

”The dog food each of our dogs has eaten will certainly play its role, transforming into crucial motivation for scent tracking.”

Upon hearing the police dog team leader speak righteously, Qin Feng and Jiang An exchanged a glance and smiled lightly.

Qin Feng said quietly, ”Mr. Jiang, I don’t know about Jiangcheng, but in our Guangling City, police dogs eat the imperial ration.”

”My own Chinese rural dog is hoping for the day it can eat imperial ration and become an enlisted police dog.”

”Haha, that’s hoping for too much. Chinese rural dogs just wag their tails when they see their owners, but police dogs have sharp noses! They can smell blood stains, track scents, and trace drugs and explosives!” Jiang An replied.

While the two joked, Deputy Director Chen Guan nodded and said, ”Let the police dogs remember this scent and immediately start the search.”

”Don’t worry, Mr. Chen, you won’t be disappointed!”

”I’ll personally lead the team to track this time,” replied the police dog team leader.

Quickly, Wang Fei distributed Zhang Xiang’s clothing to each police dog handler, allowing each of their police dogs to sniff it carefully.

After sniffing, they immediately began the search in the mountains.

Personnel stationed at the foot of the mountain had already formed an encircling force.

If Zhang Xiang is on the mountain, even if he could grow wings, he would find it hard to escape.

At this moment, seeing the sporadic lights coming from the mountain, Chen Guan took a glance at Director Hou and said, ”Director Hou, every year, police dog construction costs over a million, with dog food accounting for tens of thousands.”

”Today is the time for them to showcase the capabilities of the dog team.”

Director Hou chuckled and said, ”If they can’t find anything, these police dogs are really eating for nothing.”

Chen Guan laughed, ”Every year I allocate nutritional funds for them; there’s even red-cooked meat leftover.”

After saying this, everyone burst out laughing.

Fifteen years after the case, there is finally some progress. To facilitate the capture, they set up a temporary command post at the mountain foot.

Even though Director Hou and Chen Guan weren’t entirely convinced that Zhang Xiang was the mastermind behind the old case, Zhang Xiang’s suspicious behavior tonight indeed raised significant suspicion in them.

He vanished without a trace, and the person at the cemetery is most likely Zhang Xiang.

Linking these incidents together, Zhang Xiang’s suspicion has rapidly increased.

Time was passing by the minute, and the police dogs continuously searched for two hours.

Suddenly, the walkie-talkie in Deputy Director Chen Guan’s hand buzzed with noise: ”Report to Mr. Chen, report to Mr. Chen, our police dogs have locked onto the scent and are moving to track it!”

The call was from the police dog team leader.

”Okay, be careful out there!”

Then, Deputy Director Chen Guan said over the walkie-talkie, ”The other groups should be ready to assist nearby.”

Finally, he asked, ”Mr. Wan, in your judgment, have the police dogs locked onto the direction in which Zhang Xiang is moving?”

Wang Fei responded over the walkie-talkie, ”Probably, we are currently progressing further.”

Upon hearing this, Deputy Director Chen Guan was visibly excited.

He turned to Director Hou and said, ”Director Hou, tonight really is a memorable night.”

Director Hou chuckled and said, ”Mr. Chen, you’re quite confident, aren’t you?”

”Right now, the police dogs have only discovered the scent, and haven’t found Zhang Xiang’s location yet.”

”Haha, I don’t believe all those tens of thousands spent on dog food were in vain.” Chen Guan replied.

As the voice fell, the walkie-talkie buzzed again.

Wang Fei said, ”Report to Mr. Chen! Our police dogs have pinned down a man wearing glasses, and the SWAT team has already controlled him!”

Wearing glasses?

As soon as these words were uttered, Qin Feng, standing across, quickly said, ”It’s Zhang Xiang! He’s the one wearing glasses!”

”Good, control him immediately. We’ll wait for you down here,” Chen Guan responded.

Twenty minutes later, all the teams returned in grand procession.

At this time, Captain Wang was holding the police dog, which was walking proudly like a decorated dog.

Deputy Director Chen Guan and Director Hou walked up together.

”Everyone, you’ve worked hard. You did an excellent job tonight!”

Wang Fei was deeply moved; he spoke first, ”Mr. Chen, every year’s police dog budget, now you should realize it wasn’t given in vain, right?”

”Haha, of course!” Chen Guan laughed.

”Mr. Chen, when our police dogs apply for funds in the future, I hope Director Chen can sign off quickly so that our police dogs can enjoy ’relief food’ soon!” Wang Fei seized the opportunity to say.

”He seized this opportunity well!” As he spoke, he glanced at Director Hou.

Director Hou nodded and said, ”Tonight, indeed, the police dogs are the heroes.”
