Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1283: Chapter 1283: You Can Also Ruthlessly Abandon Me

The sanatorium had no shortage of rooms, so since Qin Jian had arrived, it was only natural that he wouldn’t have to squeeze into this one anymore. Therefore, he went to register another room.

When Gu Shuangshuang came back, she happened to encounter An Hao and Qin Jian moving their things.

”Eh? Commander Qin, why are you here?” Gu Shuangshuang teased them laughingly, ”It’s really like an eternity has passed without seeing you for just one day!”

”Stop your nonsense. How was your meal?” An Hao asked.

”I think she’s quite nice! Well-traveled and knowledgeable!! Oh, right! She’s a returnee from overseas! She grew up abroad since she was young!” Gu Shuangshuang casually mentioned, ”We talked about you during dinner tonight! She asked me to tell you that she means no harm! You don’t need to be always on guard against her!”

”What were you discussing?” Qin Jian listened, puzzled.

”It’s that woman I mentioned to you before, she saved Shuangshuang’s life today!” An Hao briefly explained to Qin Jian, ”Actually, no matter what, I wouldn’t approach her.”

”Are you being overly sensitive because you’re pregnant?” Qin Jian felt that An Hao was also a bit tense, understanding that the accident on the rooftop of the twelfth floor had left a deep shadow on her.

”Maybe,” An Hao laughed, speaking to both of them. ”Let’s not talk about this issue tonight! It’s getting late, we should all rest!”

”Hey! Just because you have men around, you no longer need your best friend!” Gu Shuangshuang shook her head and sighed.

”When Tian Niu arrives, you’ll also ruthlessly abandon me!” An Hao winked playfully at Gu Shuangshuang, and pulled Qin Jian away with her.

In the new room, Qin Jian prepared the bed for An Hao, adjusted the hot water, and then urged her to take a bath.

An Hao had just taken off her skirt when Qin Jian, eager to assist, followed her in, wanting to help her bathe under the pretext: ”Wife, pregnancy has been so tough for you, and your belly is so big now, there must be spots you can’t reach! Let me help you!”

”No way!” An Hao decisively refused. Intimate contact with Qin Jian was a torment for her at the moment, ”Don’t start something! I’m telling you, I won’t be able to put out your fire!”

”It’s okay, I’ll bear the consequences!” Qin Jian was truly concerned about An Hao, fearing she might slip and fall.

However, An Hao didn’t trust Qin Jian because the very nature of impulse is to act on the spur of the moment, leading to behaviors the brain can’t control.

Besides, she now distrusted not only Qin Jian but also herself.

”Stop kidding around! This really won’t do!” An Hao refused once again.

”Honestly, I’m not lying! I can control myself.” Qin Jian insisted, determined to help her bathe.

”Sigh! Fine!” An Hao sighed lightly and pointed to the clothes on the bed ready to be changed into, ”You go get my clothes first.”

”Okay.” Qin Jian agreed and turned back toward the bed.

However, as soon as he left, the door clicked as An Hao locked it.

Qin Jian: ”...” Was he just tricked by his wife with a strategy? Luring the tiger away from the mountain? Or a feint to the east while striking in the west?

Listeni carefully from outside, when there was no more noise, An Hao pursed her lips and smiled slightly before turning on the shower and began to wash with the splattering of water.

When An Hao came out after her shower, her gaze was captured by the scene before her. She witnessed a vivid and fragrant strip show taking place. A dim yellow light was left on in the room, and Qin Jian stood beside the bed facing her, stretching his hand to unbutton his military shirt one by one...
