Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1272: Chapter 1272: Just Like a Honeymoon Trip

”So what’s the situation now? Whose advice did you end up taking?” An Hao was very concerned about this issue.

If Tian Niu went, then Gu Shuangshuang from Nanji Military Region would definitely return as well.

It would then become difficult for her to meet with Gu Shuangshuang.

An Hao did not want to lose such a friend, whose personality and temperament matched hers so well, so quickly.

”Northern Military Region,” Gu Shuangshuang said. ”You’re here, plus I can stay away from my mother and listen to her nagging less in the future. Why not enjoy it?”

”That’s great.” An Hao felt very happy as well, ”From now on we can be neighbors every day.”

”Hmm, I never want to be separated from you in my life,” Gu Shuangshuang said as she gently hugged her.

As the two chatted cheerfully for a while, Gu Shuangshuang noticed that An Hao’s bed was covered with clothes.

”Are you tidying up the closet, or are you planning to go out?” Gu Shuangshuang asked.

”I’m going out for a few days, there’s been too much trouble at home these past few days, and I want to clear my mind.” An Hao then recounted all the various things that had happened recently to Gu Shuangshuang.

After listening to An Hao’s story, Gu Shuangshuang felt a headache coming on: ”I also support you going out! You say that all your families’ issues are on your shoulders alone, you’re not a deity, it’d be strange if you weren’t tired.”

”Exactly, that’s why I need to get out!”

”Just you and Commander Qin?” Gu Shuangshuang asked, a mischievous smile on her face, ”The young couple going on another honeymoon! Won’t you just be lovey-dovey all day long then?”

”Jealous? If you’re jealous, hurry up and get married.”

”Soon, I am getting married at the end of the year,” Gu Shuangshuang thought for a moment and then said, ”Where are you planning to vacation this time? Tian Niu is coming back in a few days, I’ll join him to come see you!”

”Sure. I’ll go down and ask Qin Jian in a bit; he chose the place, he knows.”

”Great. I look forward to our meeting!”

Time passed unnoticed in idle chatter, and even though both were reluctant to end the conversation, it was already after nine o’clock in the evening.

Gu Shuangshuang had to return to school, and An Hao asked her to stay over at her house, but she refused repeatedly.

An Hao had no choice but to let her go.

When Qin Jian came upstairs, An Hao had already packed her clothes and put them in the suitcase.

Seeing him enter, An Hao walked up to him and wrapped her arms around his neck: ”I’ve packed everything! I’m still very much looking forward to going out with you.”

Qin Jian gently embraced her waist: ”I promise you’ll like it there.”

”Hmm. Let’s consider it our honeymoon trip,” An Hao said, full of longing.

Qin Jian bent down and kissed her lips: ”We need to leave early tomorrow, so let’s go to bed early.”

”Okay,” An Hao happily agreed, and then went to the bathroom to wash up.

The phone at home suddenly rang, and Qin Jian answered it, but when he hung up, his expression showed regret.

”Whose call was that?” An Hao asked as she came out of the bathroom after washing up.

”Sorry. I just got a call; I have to attend a meeting at the division headquarters tomorrow! So I probably won’t be able to accompany you,” he said.

”What?” An Hao felt utterly disappointed, ”What about the day after tomorrow?”

”I don’t know. The vacation’s been canceled,” Qin Jian said, feeling terrible seeing his wife’s disappointment, ”How about I ask mom to go with you?”

”No way!” An Hao sat disheartened on the bed, looking at the full suitcase of clothes, feeling her eyes sting with the urge to cry.

”There, don’t cry,” Qin Jian hurriedly embraced her, speaking softly to comfort her, ”The place I wanted to take you isn’t far from here. Why don’t you go with mom first, and in a couple of days when I’m not busy, I’ll sneak over to see you, okay?”
