Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1277: Chapter 1276: The Emergence of High Similarity

”You said she actually stalked you?” Gu Shuangshuang was surprised, ”Are you sure she was following you and not doing something else? Or could it be some other coincidence?”

”I’m sure.”

”That’s strange then. Could she be coveting your bracelet? Or does she have some ulterior motive regarding you? But she didn’t look like it!” Her attire and manner were quite elegant, clearly not that of an ordinary person.

Although Gu Shuangshuang wasn’t clued into popular fashions, her mother, Duan Aihua, was passionate about dressing up, buying whatever clothes were trendy or whatever shoes were expensive.

The pair of small leather sandals Lin Qiushu was wearing just now, her mother had bought a pair with her own private money, dead expensive, almost the equivalent of an ordinary family’s monthly salary.

She felt that Lin Qiushu didn’t seem like someone short of money.

An Hao certainly didn’t know what Lin Qiushu’s intentions were; she had been once bitten, twice shy.

With the lesson from Cheng Yu in the past, she dared not trust a stranger.

Besides, this stranger kept showing up coincidentally, evidently wanting to get close to her.

An Hao had a strong belief in her intuition.

She felt that this woman must have an ulterior motive for approaching her, but as for what that motive was, An Hao didn’t know at the moment, and she didn’t want to know either.

She didn’t have the energy to spare worrying about other things now, less trouble is better than more trouble.

Regardless of what Lin Qiushu was up to, she just needed to keep her distance and always stay on guard.

”What are you thinking about?” Gu Shuangshuang saw An Hao zoning out and waved her hand in front of her eyes, ”You don’t think Lin Qiushu is a bad person, do you? The most important thing to determine a person’s kindness is to look into their eyes, and her gaze seemed very pure. Maybe she doesn’t have any ill intentions. Perhaps, that time she followed you was a misunderstanding.”

”Pure gaze? How can you be sure her purity isn’t feigned? Do you still remember Cheng Yu? Don’t you think our encounter with Lin Qiushu is too similar to when we met Cheng Yu?” An Hao reminded Gu Shuangshuang.

Cheng Yu had also approached her gradually, not overtly, subtly making her way into her world.

Her demure temperament, slightly melancholic eyes, appropriate smile, and timely help all made An Hao develop a liking for such a woman, who at that time was draped in the sanctity of being a Military Medical University instructor.

Who would have thought Cheng Yu’s objective was actually Qin Jian?

What she found even more unexpected was how deep that woman’s scheming had been; not only she, but how many people around them could see through Cheng Yu’s hidden agenda?

Aren’t they still fooled by her charming exterior and identity?

After being reminded by An Hao, Gu Shuangshuang also broke out in a cold sweat on her back: ”What you’re saying isn’t without reason. This Lin Qiushu does seem to share some similarities in her timing of appearance with that Cheng Yu!”

”That’s why I need to keep my distance from her,” An Hao said.

If that was the explanation, Gu Shuangshuang understood An Hao’s feelings.

”But don’t you wonder why she was stalking you?” Gu Shuangshuang’s curiosity was strong, and she liked to get to the bottom of things.

Moreover, this matter was indeed mysterious!

”Curious, yes. But my current state doesn’t allow me to be curious. Later, I encountered her a few times, and she explained to me why she was trailing me. She said it was just for that jade bracelet, feeling that its quality was extraordinary, and she just wanted to take a few more looks.”
