Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1278: Chapter 1277: She Is Not Trusted

”You don’t believe what she says? Maybe she’s right.” Regarding Lin Qiushu, Gu Shuangshuang always felt that she wasn’t a bad person.

Although she had her doubts about Lin Qiushu, she was more inclined to believe that she was a good person.

”Maybe, but unfortunately, based on all the current information, I don’t trust her! Besides, she’s just a stranger I happened to meet, and I don’t plan to have much to do with her in the future! Unless she plans to get involved with me.” But the more proactive the other person is, the more it shows there’s an issue, right?

”That’s true,” Gu Shuangshuang nodded in agreement.

”However, she bears you no malice, and you can get close to her. After all, she did save you! But remember, don’t mention anything related to me.” An Hao was worried that the other person might choose to use Gu Shuangshuang as a breakthrough.

”Okay. Don’t worry,” Gu Shuangshuang promised.

...........................

After lunch, An Hao lay down in bed to rest, as drowsiness had started to overtake her again these days.

Her mother-in-law, Zhang Yun, said this was normal, to sleep more when feeling sleepy, and that it would get better after a while.

The room was at a comfortable temperature, and she quickly fell asleep after lying down.

Gu Shuangshuang also took a nap, but she woke up early, and seeing that the afternoon sun wasn’t so strong, she wanted to go for a walk. Since she was here, she didn’t want to waste all her time on this bed.

Once she left the room, she wandered around the sanatorium.

There was a large sports field, divided into basketball courts, table tennis courts, badminton courts, and several running tracks.

Gu Shuangshuang watched older people in twos and threes jogging on the tracks, stretched, and was about to join when she suddenly saw Lin Qiushu, who had changed into sportswear and was carrying a badminton racket on her back, also come out.

”Sister Qiushu!” Gu Shuangshuang hurried forward to greet her.

Following the voice, Lin Qiushu looked over and, seeing it was the girl from the morning, smiled and said, ”What a coincidence! Are you out for some exercise too?”

”I’m just bored and wandering around,” Gu Shuangshuang said smilingly.

”Do you want to play together?” Lin Qiushu smiled and handed Gu Shuangshuang a racket.

”Is that okay? Didn’t you arrange to play with someone else?”

”I didn’t make arrangements with anyone. I just come out to play every afternoon. See those old people running? Don’t underestimate them; each one is a badminton master! As soon as I stand here, someone will come over in a while.”

”Then that’s fine,” Gu Shuangshuang said and took the racket without hesitation.

”Come on! Let’s serve!”

In an era where badminton was a national sport, almost everyone knew how to play, but some played well and some played very poorly.

Gu Shuangshuang felt her badminton skills were not bad, but against Lin Qiushu, she was easily trounced.

She lost all three games in a row.

Finally hot and tired, she simply sat down on the ground and refused to get up, ”I can’t do this anymore! I am going to die of exhaustion. Sister Qiushu, you’re not a former athlete, are you? Your skills are way too good.”

Lin Qiushu took off the towel around her neck and wiped her sweat, saying, ”I’m no athlete! I’m far from an athlete’s level.”

Gu Shuangshuang suddenly became curious about Lin Qiushu’s identity and decided to inquire, ”Sister Qiushu, what do you do for a living? You have such a great presence, and your style of dress is particularly eye-catching.”
