I Live on the Land in Global Games

Now, she preferred to travel in a more open and above board manner.

Riding her broom to a place she had visited before, it didn’t take long for Mu Ying to arrive over the Fruit Forest and spot the current “Master” of the orchard.

It was a huge creature, its fur shiny and body exceptionally strong, several sizes bigger than Gungun and clearly living a good life.

The Fruit Forest had grown even better since her last visit, lush and verdant with seasonal fruits hanging from the branches, a delightful sight.

The Big Brown Bear was wandering around the trees with ripe fruits.

Like a farmer guarding his own melon field, even birds flying close to steal a bite were scared off by a roar from the Big Brown Bear.

Although Mu Ying was still far away and hadn’t approached closely, the Big Brown Bear gave her a wary glance, and the look wasn’t very friendly.

“Shh—” A loud whistle came from outside the Fruit Forest.

The Brown Bear’s ears twitched, its small eyes swiveled, and it ducked behind some bushes near the trees, dragging out a basket from inside.

Mu Ying was surprised by its actions; it was a proper basket that clearly wasn’t the work of a Brown Bear.

The basket even had quite a few fruits in it.

This bear was quite intelligent!

“Gehe~” A bird flew over close to the trees.

Mu Ying raised an eyebrow, she had only heard one bird make that sound.

Upon closer inspection, it indeed was the one she knew.

Falcons were not very common, and a falcon as plump as this one was even rarer—who else could it be but Fool?

If Fool was here, then the whistler, undoubtedly, was Xie Sen.

Soon enough, an agile figure burst from the woods.

Alerted by Fool, Xie Sen also saw Mu Ying in the sky and waved at her as he approached, “How did you get here?”

Look at her, sitting on a broom, so carefree, while he hadn’t even had time for lunch, having walked here on his own two feet.

Was this the advantage of a Trialist?

He regretted not leveling up eagerly before, resolving to focus on leveling up to ensure he was ready for the next wave of Trialist selections!

Mu Ying lowered her broom a bit, descending slightly, “I came looking for this Brown Bear, do you know it?”

Seeing they even had their own unique secret signal and that entering the Brown Bear’s territory hadn’t provoked an attack suggested they probably had a good relationship, right?

Xie Sen nodded, “I know it.

I often come here to trade for some excess fruit it can’t eat and sell them in the territory, to make some money.”

As Xie Sen arrived, the Brown Bear was preoccupied talking to the weird thing in the sky, in a language it couldn’t understand, and roared irritably, slapping the basket.

“Lord, just give me a moment!” Xie Sen hastily cast an ‘animal conversation’ spell on himself, “Hang on, big guy, don’t be in a rush!”

After speaking, he took off his large backpack, pulling out several honey breads from inside and placing them on the grass in front of him.

The Big Brown Bear finally calmed down, pulled the basket away from the trees behind it by a bit, then upended it, spilling the fruits out.

Then, dragging the empty basket, it scrambled over to grab the honey breads and stuff them inside, then plopped down on a patch of ground that had been worn bare to enjoy the treats.

Clearly, it really loved the honey breads.

The rough way it handled the fruits compared to how gently it dealt with the breads was a stark contrast.

It didn’t just gobble them down but held them up with its front paws to eat.

Its little round eyes squinted in enjoyment.

Xie Sen began to pick through the pile of fruits the Big Brown Bear had spilled out, with Fool perching nearby.

A bear and a man, separated by seven to eight meters, the boundary between them clearly defined.

The Big Brown Bear, while enjoying its treat, still kept a wary eye on Xie Sen.

Mu Ying, observing this scene, became even more interested in the Big Brown Bear.

It was so smart, even knowing to trade with humans for its favorite honey breads!

Although Xie Sen was a Forest Patrol, able to communicate with it using a level 1 ‘spell’ from his arsenal, even so, most wild beasts couldn’t coexist so peacefully with humans.

“Big guy, won’t you let me pick the fruits myself in the future?

Look at these fruits you’ve picked, so many have your claw marks.

The quality is ruined, and they can’t sell for a good price—what a waste!”

“And these, are they picked up from the ground?

Don’t start mixing bad fruits in.

You’re a bear; you should maintain your honest and good nature, don’t learn all the tricks of unscrupulous businessmen!”
