I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 364 - 364 358 Entrusting the Orphan364: Chapter 358 Entrusting the Orphan 364: Chapter 358 Entrusting the Orphan Da Ming would teleport himself daily to Griffin District for training and meals, and in the afternoon, Mu Ying would join him to practice her Spells before returning together in the evening.

Da Ming and Gungun still looked down on each other, fighting daily, yet they held back their Strength so that no real anger burst out.

Initially, they lost a few feathers, but within a couple of days, these two image-conscious creatures somehow reached an agreement not to pluck at each other’s feathers anymore.

Gradually, their fights seemed more like playful scuffles.

Mu Ying’s Transformation Skill was also improving considerably – she could smoothly transform a sheep into a turtle and had become adept at transforming a larger animal like a cow.

She was now attempting to turn sheep into cows and cows into sheep.

“I feel that the power of companionship is truly great.

Look, you’ve been here for just over a week, and the little griffins have grown tremendously, becoming much stronger.

They’re even performing better in their training routines than the average wild griffin of their age.

It must be because of your presence here, inspiring Da Ming who in turn motivates the other three.”

That day, during a break from practicing her spells, Zheng Jing let the little griffins rest and came to share her thoughts with Mu Ying.

Mu Ying chuckled and nodded.

Although she was there and Da Ming really seemed more motivated by her opinions, the real reason for their remarkable changes was mainly the Recovery Spring.

The plants that now required her to use the Recovery Spring for nourishment had decreased significantly; she could keep most of them alive just with her own Spells and the magic of the green witch.

The Recovery Spring was now mostly used to feed Gungun, Da Ming, and the few little griffins.

That was why they were thriving.

“Look, there’s another griffin coming.

When they first discovered the griffin fledglings, they attacked the camp’s protective shield heavily.

Now, they just come to check daily.

The little griffins are much safer here with us than at Griffin Cliff, where they could be attacked by Blood Crows at any moment,” Zheng Jing commented upon seeing a shadow slowly approaching in the distant sky.

These past days, Mu Ying had also seen several griffins, “Most of the griffins have already migrated, only those still hatching eggs or with newly hatched fledglings remain to guard.

Sadly, too few survive each Blood Crow attack, and I don’t know if they’ll last till I confront the Blood Crows.”

Every time after a Blood Crow attack, Mu Ying would go check at Griffin Cliff, but would typically return empty-handed, as there were only four little ones in the camp’s Griffin District until now.

Mu Ying looked towards the sky at an approaching adult griffin, wait, it seemed to be clutching something in its claws!

She stood up, astonished.

“Am I seeing things, or is that a little griffin?” Zheng Jing rubbed her eyes.

Mu Ying nodded.

The griffin circled above the protective shield, anxiously calling out.

A bold idea came to her mind, but she didn’t have enough Mana Value, making Skywalking impossible.

She cast an animal conversation Spell on herself and then took out her flying broom, skillfully flipping onto it and soaring into the air, right to the edge of the camp’s protective shield.

By then, she had understood the meaning of the griffin’s calls – it wanted to bring the little griffin inside.

It tried repeatedly to push the little griffin against the protective shield, but to no avail.

Seeing Mu Ying approach, the griffin’s calls grew more pleading.

Mu Ying waved her hand to adjust the camp protective shield’s defense settings.

This time, the little griffin was successfully flung inside.

Mu Ying quickly flew over and caught it.

The little one must have just hatched not long ago; it didn’t want to leave its mother at all and showed no affection towards Mu Ying, who caught it, even pecking at her arm.

Just in time, Little Red equipped her with Thorny Battle Armor, protecting her body.

Mu Ying had just in time let Little Red control the anti-damage function of the Thorny Battle Armor, otherwise the still healing beak of the Little Griffin might have been torn apart.

The Big Griffin circled above the camp, wailing as it bid farewell to its chick.

“Don’t worry, we’ll take good care of it,” Mu Ying promised the Big Griffin.

Only then did the Big Griffin leave reluctantly.

Carrying the dispirited Little Griffin to the ground, they placed it on the grass.

“Is this entrusting its young to us?”

While comforting the Little Griffin with dried meat, Zheng Jing said incredulously.

“Maybe your Little Griffin Kindergarten is just too good.

This Griffin feared it couldn’t protect its kid and sent the cub over.

I know this Griffin, its mate died in the last Blood Crow attack while protecting it and the child, who was still an egg at that time,” Mu Ying said, distressed.

Griffins were already scarce at Griffin Cliff; every time Mu Ying visited, it was a tragic sight, and she had unilaterally recognized those Griffins.

Although the territory had gained Griffin Eggs and Little Griffins from the Blood Crow attacks, it was still hard to witness scenes where creatures sacrificed themselves to protect the weak.

Unfortunately, adult Griffins were fiercely aggressive and extremely wary, attacking anyone who tried to approach Griffin Cliff with no room for negotiation.

Otherwise, Mu Ying would have helped them long ago.

She hadn’t expected a Griffin to voluntarily bring a Little Griffin this time.

Indeed, without its partner and with the Little Griffin unable to fly, travelling far to find a safe place to settle was simply impractical.

Handing the chick over to them would at least ensure excellent care.

“By the way, what’s up with your broom?

How can it still fly?

That’s so cool, is it a new product?” Zheng Jing, recalling her recent flight, asked curiously.

Mu Ying shook her head: “It’s from the Trial World, it requires special energy to power and use, it can’t be promoted.”

Zheng Jing sighed in disappointment.

“More Griffins are coming!” Mu Ying said, looking up at the sky.

This time several Griffins came in succession.

Some had Little Griffins in their claws, others came empty-handed.

Mu Ying directly took out a deep bamboo basket and flew up to catch them.

The Griffin that had just been there came back, this time skillfully dropping its chick into Mu Ying’s bamboo basket.

The other Griffins followed suit.

Even after setting them down, they did not leave but cried out to Mu Ying.

“Eggs...

danger...

hurry!”

Mu Ying understood their general meaning and glanced at the dark clouds gathering ominously in the distance: “Please wait a moment.”

Mu Ying landed, set down the bamboo basket with the Little Griffins, handed it to Zheng Jing, “I’m going back with them, the Blood Crows are coming again!

Whatever you see next, remember to keep it secret for me!”

Zheng Jing’s breathing quickened, she also had animal conversation activated and understood the Griffins’ meaning, and quickly said, “Okay, go quickly, be safe!”

Mu Ying put away her flying broom and took out her Magic Flying Carpet.

The carpet floated at her feet, Mu Ying stepped onto it, and once she was fully standing on the Flying Carpet, both the carpet and she completely vanished.
