I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 380 - 380 372 Boneless Crow380: Chapter 372: Boneless Crow 380: Chapter 372: Boneless Crow Indeed, the forum members weren’t entirely wrong; Mu Ying really hadn’t made any moves for the past three days.

She was just contently tending to her plants, crafting magic potions, and learning spells.

However, it wasn’t that she had no preparations for what was to come, rather she had set everything up in advance and now all she needed to do was to quietly watch for changes.

This morning, players discovered that the Blood Crow flock blocking the entrance to the main territory and sub-camps had inexplicably started collapsing.

It wasn’t all at once either; there was a sequence, but as the morning passed, not a single Blood Crow outside was left standing.

Those who were slightly braver thought that since it was now noon and the sun was fierce, the Pure-blooded Vampire would have to temporarily retreat from the limelight, and since the position of the Blood Crows was very close to the territory, they armed themselves to the teeth, called their friends, and went out to pick up “money.”

Upon touching them, they found that these Blood Crows were all soft and flaccid, as if they had no bones.

Moreover, a closer look revealed that they weren’t dead, but they had lost all ability to move and became materials that could easily be picked up.

The situation was very strange; their skin and flesh were intact and suddenly they lost all their bones.

At first, some were worried that there was a trick to it, then people from behind came to report, saying that the Lord had sent out another notice, stating that the Blood Crows were this way because of her doing, and that their bodies could be normally harvested without harm to humans.

With that, everyone relaxed and went out to pick up “money.”

They were just incredibly surprised and admiring of Mu Ying’s ability to silently remove the bones of Blood Crows without anyone noticing.

It was incredible, not just one or two, but all Blood Crows that emerged today met this fate, and it was unknown what the situation would be like for those still inside.

Regardless, all the players of Qingshan Town knew that their Lord was utterly confident in dealing with the Vampire.

What everyone could not figure out how to permanently eliminate, the Blood Crows, had suddenly and unexpectedly lost their threat, only proving that their Lord had been prepared all along and was not as rash as those people on the forum had suggested.

The players of Qingshan Town had actually been somewhat worried these past few days, but now all their worries turned into trust in their Lord.

Although they did not know how she did it, she proved her reliability with facts, greatly increasing their sense of security.

Mu Ying, keeping track of the time, knew that the effects of the Soft Bones Potion should be taking hold around today, so she spent the entire day sitting on the Flying Carpet, paying close attention to the situation with the Blood Crows around the territory.

Although she was very confident in her poisoning methods and the Poison’s effects.

Under normal circumstances, it shouldn’t be long before the blood within the Blood Crow Nest would be contaminated with the toxins from the Soft Bones Potion.

Just a little bit would be enough to affect a Blood Crow.

Moreover, with the sheer number of Blood Crows in the nest resting in such close proximity to each other, the rate of contagion should be very fast.

But fearing the unexpected, Mu Ying couldn’t be sure of the outcome until the last moment.

Seeing the Blood Crows indeed fall prey one after another, at varying speeds, she finally felt much more settled.

At this point, the plan was considered a half success.

Mu Ying teleported back to the plantation, took a piece of Sharon’s nail, and began to probe her current movements using the Detecting Skill.

These past few days, she had been regularly probing Sharon’s status, but she had been using items like Sharon’s used goblets as materials to increase the success rate of the spell casting.

There were both successes and failures.

The results of the probes during the day were always roughly similar, sometimes a pitch darkness which was highly likely her sleeping in a coffin, sometimes she would be inside the Bone Castle feeding, sometimes she would be strolling in the rose flower sea outside, and she never once appeared to be leaving the Blood Crow Nest.

After the Transformation Skill failed on Sharon the last time, Mu Ying knew that she couldn’t deal with this Vampire in the same way she handled others — it wouldn’t be possible to trap her with the Transformation Skill and then take her to the bottom of the sea for a thorough extermination.

This significantly increased the difficulty of dealing with Sharon.

“”

Mu Ying was still thinking that if she had been infuriated by her own actions that day and acted on her vengeance, she might have risked coming out during the day.

Sunlight, like a flowing stream, could suppress a vampire’s Regeneration and Fog Escape Skill.

However, the results of several probes all showed that she was safe and sound inside Bone Castle, which made Mu Ying feel quite regretful for a while.

Sharon had finally let go of her pride and became much more cautious in her actions.

At night, during the probes, there were a few times when she was seen moving around the territory after transforming into a Black Crow, and she also tried to enter the territory but failed.

Now Mu Ying had placed vampires on the territory’s no-entry list.

Even if Mu Ying detected Sharon coming out on those occasions, she didn’t take action.

The night naturally enhanced Sharon’s abilities.

Instead, Mu Ying was at a disadvantage.

After all, Sharon was one level higher than she, and having stayed at level 9 for quite some time, she should have unlocked 5th-circle spells.

Even though a Magician’s spells were few and, depending on the bloodline, limited to specific ones, they posed a great threat to Mu Ying.

Moreover, without sunlight or running water, even if Mu Ying could deplete her Life Value to zero, Sharon could escape by relying on her Regeneration and Fog Escape Skill, a loss outweighing the gain.

Fortunately, Mu Ying had anticipated this possibility and had other, safer options in mind.

If Sharon wouldn’t come out during the day, then Mu Ying just had to force her into a situation where she had no choice but to do so, right?

The sudden paralysis of numerous Blood Crows was one such opportunity.

So this time, Mu Ying chose Sharon’s nails, which aided greatly in increasing the spell casting success rate, to perform the Detecting Skill.

It was known that Sharon was tricked into getting a manicure only once; there weren’t many of her nails cut off—each one was precious and had to be used wisely.

With Sharon’s nails to amplify, Mu Ying succeeded in her spell casting on the first try.

In the scene detected, Sharon was holding a squishy, blood-drenched Boneless Blood Crow, her eyebrows tightly furrowed.

The surroundings appeared to be inside the great hall of Bone Castle.

The Boneless Blood Crow was almost squished into pulp by her, yet Sharon herself seemed oblivious to it.

Instead, she stood in the shadow by the window, looking outside.

Mu Ying saw the scene outside the window and her mouth formed an O shape.

What did she see?

Was that sunlight?

Sunlight had actually penetrated the Blood Crow Nest!

It was known that above the Blood Crow Nest, a heavy, swirling dark cloud was ever-present, dense with the power of darkness; even on the sunniest days, the Blood Crow Nest remained sinister.

Now, Mu Ying saw sunlight filtering through the window.

Although it was not much and far less bright than normal noon sunlight, it was clearly sunlight and getting stronger by the moment.

If this continued, it would almost reach normal brightness.

No wonder Sharon was standing in the shadow behind the window, not going to the Corpse Bone Meat Forest to check on the Blood Crows.

Compared to the Blood Crows, the appearance of sunlight in her nest was a more urgent matter.
