I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 376 - 376 368 Invisibility376: Chapter 368: Invisibility 376: Chapter 368: Invisibility Facing enemies with irreconcilable differences, should we still talk about martial morality?

If she can be killed stealthily, she must be killed stealthily; if not, she must at least be made thoroughly nauseated.

So Mu Ying turned a deaf ear to Sharon’s cursing, her bowstring-pulling and arrow-releasing hands never stopped.

Sharon had not escaped far enough and was still within her shooting range.

These flame arrows actually couldn’t cause fatal damage to her true body.

Some she could dodge, and even those she couldn’t, hitting her would only burn her clothes.

Even a flame arrow that passed through her heart area just caused a momentary pain; after a while, the flame arrow would disappear, and the piercing hole quickly healed.

So, in the end, the pain was just momentary, and at worst, her clothes were charred.

Despite that, Sharon found this situation unacceptable, as she hadn’t been this embarrassed in a long time.

Now, she had no intention of turning Mu Ying into a collectible.

She wanted her to die in the most painful way, then extinguish her soul and turn her corpse into the lowliest of blood servants.

This time, without saying anything more, she took a deep look back at the empty harbor camp, and as another arrow flew towards, her form disappeared as well.

Mu Ying’s arrows were too dense, and Sharon did not want to flee in an overly undignified manner, hence she used this method to retain some dignity.

Mu Ying arched an eyebrow and put down her longbow.

“Invisibility Technique, huh?”

This was a new ability she had not discovered before.

Turns out Sharon could also become invisible which was somewhat of a revelation, even though it almost depleted half of an elemental gemstone of the Fire Element.

This reminded her that Sharon, as a magician, besides possessing those Talent Skills of a vampire, probably also had some Warlock Magic as her trump card.

Mu Ying could rely on the territory protection to deal with enemies outside, but others might be able to influence the Local People inside her territory from the outside.

Direct attacks could be blocked by the Territory Shield, but Mu Ying still remembered that among the vampire’s Talent Skills was Charm, indicating they were also adept at mental influence, which such type of magic-like abilities the Territory Shield could not defend against.

If a vampire was inside the territory, the territory’s rules could monitor and avoid such behavior, but if it was outside the territory, that would be unmanageable.

From today onward, she would place vampires on the Territory’s Banned Entry List, but there were still risks.

Mu Ying thought for a moment and then altered the appearance of all Territory Shields, making them functionally similar to private planting camps.

That is, looking from inside the territory to the outside, everything looked exactly the same, clear view with only a low wall as a boundary.

But from the outside looking in, it became a complete, opaque shield that didn’t allow a clear view of the interior.

Although this would make the whole territory less visually appealing from the outside, it was more secure.

The world had already become unscientific with any bizarre ability possibly occurring, but mental influence attacks like these still needed a medium and couldn’t take effect out of thin air.

Gungun’s Fruit Pitcher Skill, for instance, required one to be hit by the thrown fruit or splashed by the juice from an exploding fruit.

Mu Ying had previously detected the vampire’s Charming Skill with Biological Recognition, and it needed eye contact to be effective.

With the shield now being opaque from the outside, similar abilities could not affect people within the territory.

Although Sharon had used the Invisibility Technique, she did not hurry to leave; she wanted to see if Mu Ying would think she was gone and reveal her form or leave the camp.

But after waiting a long time, there was still no movement in the Harbor Camp, so she could only leave in frustration.

By this time, Mu Ying had already teleported back to the Tree House in the Main Territory with Gungun.

She checked the status of the seven little turtle pendants; finding no problems, she composed a notice and posted it on the Territory Notice Board.

[Notice]

[Tonight, our operation to eradicate vampires has officially begun.

Many local people have participated and made outstanding contributions.

We have successfully cut off Sharon’s arm, and all seven male vampires have been captured, with only Sharon escaping.

Sharon is likely to take retaliatory actions, so everyone is advised to stay within the territory as much as possible.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Until the crisis is resolved, the entry fee to the territory is 50% off, and the teleportation fees between the territory and the sub-camps are halved.]

Most locals were unaware of today’s events.

Since Mu Ying had previously shared information about vampires and their fearsome nature on both the territory and the forums, the locals had been cautious not to leave the territory after dark.

Those vampires indeed fear the daylight, but Sharon is much better off; her strength would be reduced during the day, but it would not result in death by sunlight exposure.

Today marked the point of no return; if Sharon couldn’t find her to vent her anger, it was quite likely she would strike out at locals who were outside.

To avoid unnecessary casualties, the locals were asked to refrain from leaving the territory for the time being.

Just waiting for a while until the Blood Crows were infected and wiped out, she could start pursuing Sharon.

Without the Blood Crows to hunt and gather blood for her, Sharon would have to venture out personally to maintain her strength.

Vampires cannot survive without a blood supply.

When the blood supply runs low, that’s when she’s weakest.

Moreover, once the Blood Crow Nest is unprotected, the Underground Palace beneath the Bone Castle, which is likely Sharon’s hibernation place, can be explored.

Destroying it would also severely weaken Sharon.

Mu Ying wasn’t worried she wouldn’t be able to find Sharon; over time, she accumulated many spell materials related to Sharon.

With Detecting Skill, she could observe Sharon’s current situation.

While there was a chance of failure, she could try multiple times.

For now, Sharon’s Perception seemed not high, sensitive only to direct stares, so there was no need to worry that the Detecting Skill would be detected by her.

It was now deep into the night, and there was no player activity at Sky Square.

It was likely that no one would see the notice until tomorrow morning.

Then, Mu Ying called back the Dingling Flower, whose call she had previously disconnected.

“Lord, how is it going?”

“Lord, is everything smooth?”

“Lord, can we still have a victory feast?”

...

As soon as Dingling Flower picked up, the players who participated in today’s actions and had been eagerly awaiting news started bombarding her with questions all at once.

“It went very smoothly; thank you all for your hard work.

Your mission rewards have been distributed to you.

I will take care of the rest.

However, don’t leave the territory before the crisis is resolved to avoid retaliation.

Once I have dealt with Sharon, then we can have our victory feast,” Mu Ying said.

She had always been cautious; the goal of today’s action was to poison the Blood Crows and deal with all the vampires except for Sharon.

Due to Mana Value considerations, she hadn’t planned on resolving Sharon as well today.
