I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 389 - 389 381 Dust Settles389: Chapter 381 Dust Settles 389: Chapter 381 Dust Settles Counting the time, seven days had passed.

On the eighth day, Mu Ying used the Detecting Skill to check on Sharon’s situation again.

In the darkness of the underwater cave filled with seawater, a pale and withered figure floated motionlessly, oblivious to the world.

Feeling certain there should be no problem, Mu Ying called up Little Red, put on the Thorny Battle Armor, and added a layer of defense with the newly learned Stone Skin Technique before using the Stone Shaping Technique to create a new, inclined hole in the cave wall.

This hole was angled upwards, allowing the water in the cave to be drained out.

After draining most of the water and observing Sharon’s movements, who still had no reaction, Mu Ying finally let her guard down and opened the crack in the rock.

Sharon’s Life Value had dropped to zero, turning into a skin-caved corpse, no longer possessing the vibrant beauty of before.

But this was only a state of feigned death.

If she were in the Deep Sleep Land, she could sleep for a few days and be fully revived.

Without the Deep Sleep Land, sleeping for a few years or even decades could also lead to recovery; and with even a drop of blood, she could awaken instantly.

However, Mu Ying would not give her any chance of revival.

After entering the cave, she immediately took out a wooden stake and hammered it fiercely into Sharon’s heart.

Watching her crack and crumble bit by bit, turning into flying ash and disappearing without a trace, Mu Ying let out a deep sigh of relief.

It was finally over!

Vampires and Blood Crows were like a mountain pressing down on her, not causing any physical harm on the surface but constantly threatening her and the territory’s safety.

Each time she went out, she had to be cautious, using a Magic Flying Carpet to conceal her form and maintain her full strength, not daring to reveal the slightest.

Over time, this was tiresome.

Moreover, Mu Ying feared not eradicating the problem and leaving an enemy lurking in the dark, never knowing when it might leap out to bite her.

But now, all these worries dissipated with Sharon’s death.

She could not possibly revive anymore.

Picking up the ring that Sharon had dropped on the ground, Mu Ying, feeling refreshed, exited the cave, tucked Gungun into her embrace, and flew towards her territory on her broomstick.

This time she didn’t have to worry about being seen by anyone.

The fact that she had a means of flying was no longer a secret.

With the heavy weight suddenly lifted off her shoulders, all she wanted was to fully relax.

Riding on the broomstick, she alternated between speeding and cruising leisurely, going up and down, freely expressing the joy and excitement in her heart.

“Look, up in the sky, it looks like a person flying!”

In the Breeding Camp, a player pointed out the flying figure in the sky.

“It seems to be the Lord!”

Players with higher Perception, using their superior vision, caught sight of the dark green fluttering hair in the sky.

“That’s a broom, right?

A flying broom?

What kind of flying method is that?”

“Who cares what kind of flying method it is, as long as I can fly, I wouldn’t mind riding on a toilet if that’s what it takes!”

...

After Mu Ying returned to the Plantation, the first thing she did was to issue an announcement lifting the travel restrictions that had been in place.

Then she lay down on the lush Asparagus Grass, relaxing as if deflated, to bask in the sun.

Now she didn’t want to do anything; she just wanted to lie down quietly and rest.

A new notice stirred up quite a commotion within the territory.

“Today, the vampire Sharon has been thoroughly eliminated, and the crisis is over.

To celebrate the removal of this great enemy, the supply of discounted products in the Territory Specialty Store will be doubled for this week.”

Some players read out the text of this notice.

“Dead?

Just like that?”

“She should have died a long time ago, a week ago the Blood Crow Nest was burnt to ashes.

How could Sharon have escaped?

That she only dies now feels a bit slow to me; compared to the previous night when we wiped out seven vampires and destroyed the Blood Crow Nest in three days, it took seven days to kill Sharon, which seems somewhat slow!”

“That does sound somewhat reasonable!”

“Finally, the crisis is resolved; we can now freely venture out of the territory.”

“No, the key point is that the supply of discounted products in the Territory Specialty Store is doubled!

I need to stock up on some stuff!”

“Let’s go together!

Let’s go together!”

...

The news also reached the forums.

In the past few days, there had been heated discussions on the forum about when she would be able to take down the vampire leader.

Bearing in mind how she had unexpectedly wiped out the Blood Crow horde before, many players who had doubted her had been proved wrong, and this time, there were many more who held optimistic views about her ability to defeat Sharon.

Mu Ying’s battle against the vampires, although only the final result was revealed, left it to the players to fill in the details.

However, her sturdy image had become deeply rooted in people’s hearts.

Any player who had browsed the forums or followed this incident would not doubt it.

This time Mu Ying killed Sharon, and everyone had a feeling of dust settling, ‘just as expected.’ Most were curious about how she managed to kill a level 9 vampire when outclassed in level.

Outleveling is no easy feat; every level-up provides a comprehensive enhancement of abilities, not to mention that the opponent was a vampire with many miraculous talent skills!

After posting the notice, Mu Ying herself lay down on the lawn, closed her eyes to recuperate while sunbathing, and fell asleep while she was at it.

In the past few days, while keeping guard over the cliff, she hadn’t dared relax at all, and sleep hadn’t been peaceful either.

She had not noticed it before, but now that the pressing worry was gone, the accumulated fatigue surged forth.

She slept straight through until the afternoon when the hungry pangs in her stomach woke her up.

She stretched with a yawn, feeling refreshed and clear-headed.

Rubbing her flat stomach, Mu Ying remembered that she had promised a celebration banquet for the players who participated in the mission.

No day was better than today, so she decided it would be tonight!

However, with such a large number of guests, finding a venue became an issue.

A spacious area without outsiders, seemed like it could only be her own plantation.

But her Magic Hut couldn’t accommodate so many people, so it had to be an outdoor event.

Mu Ying thought about it and chose the grassland behind the cowshed where Old Yellow Bull used to live, which was planted with fast-growing pastures.

Old Yellow Bull now had a family to take care of and had moved to a new home in the Breeding Camp, so he was no longer staying there.

That place was at a good distance from her Medicine Field and Gem Tree, providing a distant view of her plantation.

It was just a bit too close to her Magic Hut.

But that wasn’t a problem; her Magic Hut was shielded by magic and could only be seen by witches, aside from those to whom she granted access and recognized.

After selecting the spot, Mu Ying called each player squad that had participated in the mission with a Dingling Flower phone, setting the appointment for six in the evening and officially granting them teleportation access to kick off the celebration banquet.

In addition to these players who took part in the mission, Mu Ying also invited the shopkeepers from the Main Territory stores who had contributed a lot during this mission.

They had provided Mu Ying with a lot of information on vampires and helped monitor them.

Many items that vampires came into contact with or used were sourced from these shopkeepers.
