I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 353 - 353 349 Trade Fair353: Chapter 349: Trade Fair 353: Chapter 349: Trade Fair “This time we came over and brought the last of the Local People who still insisted on not leaving Luoxia Town, paid their transmission fees, and gave each person a dismissal fee of 10 silver coins, about a thousand people in total.

From now on, this Transmission Array is temporarily out of commission, not making much money, so I’ve dragged you into this loss too.”

“Isn’t the Transmission Array still there?

When we solve the problem with the Cold Deer, we can still make money just like before,” Mu Ying said indifferently, “The construction cost of the transmission fee was earned back a long time ago, and you bringing so many people over, I should thank you!”

She felt that what her territory lacked to level up was just the number of Local People.

If it hadn’t been for the world fusion, causing drastic changes in the surrounding environment, the several cobblestone roads painstakingly constructed before wouldn’t have been destroyed in the world fusion, but their destinations had changed from several No Master Camps around Qingshan Town to the wilderness.

Furthermore, the newly emerged areas used to be instances, and were not fully probed yet, so continuing to build roads was very dangerous.

This led to a slower population growth in Qingshan Town.

Most were transferred from Luoxia Town and Lingtian Town, while those who came from the wilderness were just a few people with quite exceptional abilities.

As she spoke, she summoned the Player Manual to take a look.

On the territory page, the number of residents had changed to: [Residents: 9987].

Although the conditions for upgrading a territory weren’t very clear, it had been confirmed that the number of residents was a very important one.

So every whole number was quite significant, and the more than a thousand people brought over by Li Luoxia meant the number of residents was now just a bit shy of breaking ten thousand.

It wouldn’t take long to find out if 10,000 residents were the threshold for upgrading.

She felt that the number of sub-camps and their level of development were already quite good, far surpassing other territories, so the number of residents should be the key.

Li Luoxia heard her say “our” and felt warmed by it, seeing that she was genuinely intent on dealing with the Cold Deer.

Although she had previously said that the Cold Deer, which ruined the environment, was the enemy of Druids, she couldn’t forget the kindness shown.

Thanks didn’t need to be always voiced; she kept it in her heart, intending to find an opportunity to return the favor later.

“Coming here is also good for them.

By this time, those who still didn’t want to leave Luoxia Town to go to that so-called worry-free Snow Mountain Camp, even if their abilities were not strong, are people who truly have feelings for the territory.

They know that no pie falls from the sky and would rather earn their own living.

There are more job opportunities here, and they can live well,” she said.

If Li Luoxia felt sorry for anyone for temporarily sealing the territory, it was these people.

She hoped they could have a good future, and when one day the ice and snow in Luoxia Valley melted away, restoring the lush, verdant landscape, she hoped they would still be able to return to their hometown.

Edwin, who often browsed forums, had heard things about Luoxia Town, but he wasn’t clear on what exactly the Cold Deer was.

From the sound of these two, Luoxia Town hadn’t suffered a natural disaster, but rather a disaster caused by a beast?

Seeing his puzzled look, Mu Ying explained, “We haven’t spread this matter since it’s related to Luoxia Town.

After you hear it, please keep it to yourself too, so that those players who pledge allegiance to the Cold Deer won’t find out and cost us our advantage.”

It sounded serious, and Edwin stopped his joking demeanor and nodded seriously, “I’ll keep it secret.

But what’s the deal with this Cold Deer?

I’m very curious!”

Li Luoxia took over the conversation and recounted their previous trip to probe the Snow Mountain Camp.

“What?

This Cold Deer is that what—the Snow Mountain Guardian God?

That smart, huh?

It knows to secretly cause snowfall to drive people away, and then sneak over pretending to be the good guy?” Edwin felt like his entire worldview had been refreshed.

In his eyes, all creatures still driven by beastly instincts, including Magic Beasts, weren’t highly intelligent, with their wildness overshadowing rationality, yet there existed beings like the Cold Deer.

“Yeah, it knows more languages than we do!

It’s smarter than most people, otherwise it wouldn’t have fooled so many into joining it.

In the end, it’s still because of greed,” said Mu Ying, not sure why the Cold Deer went to such lengths to shelter those people.

But all this subterfuge surely wasn’t just to throw Hero Banquets for them every day, after all, it was only pretending to be kind.

“Although we are Trialists and have many more opportunities than other players, when compared to those creatures who have been cultivating for decades, even hundreds of years, our foundation is still somewhat lacking.

The friendly ones are manageable, but creatures like the Cold Deer and Vampires have had quite an impact on us.

Today, I invited you here because I want to establish a Trial Takers Trading organization among Trialists, where we can share what we have.

Each of us owns resources from the Trial World, and they differ from one another.

The Trial World is randomly drawn, and what we obtain might not always suit us, but it could be exactly what someone else needs.

Perhaps we could establish a trading fair, where we directly trade items for their Source Power value, almost like having access to resources from several Trial Worlds.

This would facilitate getting things better suited for ourselves and enhance our strength more quickly when facing formidable enemies, having more aces up our sleeves.

What do you think?”

Mu Ying said, her goal for hosting today’s meal was to carve out a new market for the specialties from her own Trial World, and to obtain some of the unique products from other Trial Worlds as well.

“I’m in!” Li Luoxia stated decisively.

She had previously exchanged objects for Dingling Flowers with Mu Ying, which was similar in form, and she still owed Mu Ying two gemstones to date!

Besides, it was only a trading fair, providing a platform for information exchange, and the trading interests would still depend on individuals.

“I’m also in,” said Edwin without much hesitation.

The proposal seemed fair and beneficial to everyone, a no-brainer for any Trialist.

As Mu Ying expected, no one would reject something that was to their own advantage.

“To have a safe and free trading environment, there are some things we need to agree on in advance,” Mu Ying said.

She took out three contracts, handed one to each of them, and kept one for herself.

“This is a draft contract I’ve prepared for trading.

You can check if there are any issues with it.”

The contract actually stipulated three issues.

One was confidentiality, forbidding the leakage of another person’s Trial World-related information.

Two was pricing, all traded goods should be priced accurately according to the amount of Source Power needed for the actual transformation, and for information regarding Trial Worlds, trading should be done on a question-for-question basis.

Three were the consequences of breaking the rules.

Anyone who violated the aforementioned contents would cause the contract to burn, resulting in their permanent expulsion from the Trial Takers Trading Fair.
