Although she had forced Sharon into a position where she could only dodge and flee, Mu Ying could only inflict minor injuries.

Even when these minor injuries accumulated, they were never fatal.

There was still a long way to go before she could kill her.

And this was with the sunlight weakening Sharon’s regeneration ability.

If it had been night, there might not have been any injuries at all.

Even while being conservative with her Mana Value, Mu Ying’s mana continued to deplete; each casting of the level 0 magic consumed 1 Mana Value, and her mana was limited.

Once Sharon escaped the Corpse Bone Meat Forest and entered the outside jungle, Mu Ying also switched to using Plant Magic, controlling the plants in the forest to bind, whip, or strangle Sharon.

But the damage was still limited; she couldn’t manage to escape from Mu Ying’s sight.

The greatest damage Mu Ying managed was with several Summoning Lightning Skill strikes.

Yet Sharon continued to flee steadfastly, seemingly recovering quickly, like an invincible pest.

This was very frustrating for Mu Ying.

On the surface, she was in a dominant position, but in reality, she couldn’t really do much to Sharon.

Because she didn’t have a spell strong enough to kill with one blow.

Although this was greatly related to the vampire’s special physical fitness and powerful recovery ability, it also made Mu Ying deeply aware of the Druid’s weaknesses for the first time.

Druids have strong survival abilities, are well-equipped for both offense and defense, and can heal; they have a plethora of bizarre control and enhancement spells that are hard to defend against.

But if the enemy isn’t controlled, relying on the Druid’s not-so-powerful attack abilities, it’s practically impossible to kill the enemy cleanly; it’s like using a blunt knife to grind meat, slowly wearing them down.

Facing an enemy with strong recovery abilities like a vampire, the speed of this blunt knife grinding method is painfully slow, too slow for her mana to sustain her until the vampire dies.

After much effort, her Mana Value had depleted, and time had passed without any significant results besides exhausting Sharon.

Moreover, the sun was already setting to the west, and Mu Ying clearly felt that Sharon’s recovery speed was accelerating.

Once night truly came, activating the vampire’s Child of the Night skill, the slight advantage Mu Ying had managed to create might instantly reverse.

The magic on the Magic Flying Carpet wasn’t invincible.

Beings without the Witch Bloodline couldn’t see the flying carpet.

When they approached it, they would be unconsciously influenced by the shielding magic to divert their direction without knowing.

Alone, a creature definitely could not locate the flying carpet.

But with enough creatures searching the location of the flying carpet, all of them moving in one direction without diverting their course, and then observing the movement trajectory of these creatures, an observer could guess the approximate location of the Magic Flying Carpet.

The Child of the Night skill could achieve this.

After nightfall, vampires could use this skill to summon flocks of bats or rats to assist in combat.

It was essentially an Attack Magic from a distance.

Furthermore, without sunlight, a vampire’s regeneration skill and Fog Escape Skill become more bug-like under a full victory condition.

With the same tactics she was using now, if applied to a vampire at night, she might not even see any injuries.

Realizing this, Mu Ying understood that she couldn’t do anything to Sharon today.

Since she couldn’t kill her directly, and the inflicted injuries were something Sharon could recover from in one night, there was no point in wasting more time on futile efforts.

If she continued like this, with no Mana Value left and night approaching, the chances of a counterattack were very high.

She could only think of another long-term plan.

Luckily, she didn’t have to keep an eye on Sharon all the time; with the Detecting Skill, she could probe her location at any time.

After stopping, Mu Ying didn’t immediately return to her territory but first went to the Blood Crow Nest.

The fire from Bone Castle had spread to the entire Blood Crow Nest, and if it continued to burn, it would affect the surrounding forest.

Causing a forest fire would be a sin.

Using the last of her Mana Value, Mu Ying cast a Fire Extinguishing Skill, which brought the fire under control.

Once the fire was stopped, the Blood Crow Nest had already been completely burned to a ruin, with the countless years of accumulated corpse bones and flesh turned into charcoal and ashes, becoming nutrients for the earth.

[You destroyed the Blood Crow Nest and gained 1000 Professional Experience.]

An unexpected system notification alleviated much of the anxiety and self-doubt Mu Ying felt during her conflict with Sharon.

A thousand experience points, the same as the reward for destroying the altar of the Fishman God.

Mu Ying had not expected that destroying the Blood Crow Nest would also give Experience rewards.

Previously, when she looked at this place using the Eye of Nature, although it emanated a dark energy that nature detested, the existence of the Blood Crow Nest hadn’t seemed to damage the environment that much, had it?

There must be something she had overlooked.

As Mu Ying flew toward her territory, she thought.

The Blood Crow Nest was full of bones, bones?

Yes, the Blood Crows had killed too many fleshy animals.

Although animals are not as cherished by nature as plants, they are still a part of it.

Many animals not only act as consumers but also play important roles in the growth and reproduction processes of plants.

Losing too many animals in a short time can also negatively impact the environment.

Animals are a part of the ecological environment.

Mu Ying realized that protecting nature is not just about safeguarding plants and the physical environment—animals also play their roles within nature.

Perhaps they aren’t indispensable, but they are still a part of nature.

Massively slaughtering animals is also an act of environmental destruction.

She gained further understanding of what nature encompasses: animals, plants, and various other organisms, as well as the physical environments like land, mountains, rivers, seas, and even deserts, all belong to nature.

Destroying a plant or killing a few animals doesn’t count as environmental destruction; it’s always about large-scale damage in the grand scheme of nature.

After a long time, Mu Ying once again felt the movement of the Natural Bracelet.

She summoned the Player Manual and used the Item Identification feature to check the changes in the Natural Bracelet and, indeed, new alterations had appeared.
