I Live on the Land in Global Games

After all, the forms she could shift into were animals, not Magic Beasts.

Animals don’t have any Talent Skills; their attacks rely on their Innate Weapons, which is their body.

There are especially few large flying animals.

Furthermore, as just animals in this world full of Magic Beasts, their competitiveness is lacking, and being in the sky makes them targets like sitting ducks – not as convenient as small flying animals.

So having the Owl form was enough.

Mu Ying did hesitate for a moment between those that ran on the land and those that swam in water.

Mainly because the sea houses quite a few formidable large animals, such as large sharks and whales, which basically have no natural enemies in the ocean.

The key point was the swimming speed, which turtles couldn’t compare with.

But her opportunities in the sea were far less than on land.

Considering the Guardian Armor effect of the Natural Bracelet she possessed, Mu Ying had already planned to center around Qingshan Town and carefully tend to the surrounding forests whenever she had time.

The larger the area, the better, as this would slowly enhance the defense effect of her Guardian Armor, also a method to increase her strength.

If a strong attack approach was not an option, then taking a defensive stand as a means of counterattacking was a strategy that needed scheduling.

This meant that, in the following period of time, she would spend more time on land, with the majority of that time in the wilderness.

After some thought, Mu Ying decided to first choose a terrestrial animal to observe and learn from.

If it was to be a large animal, she was inclined to choose one known for its Strength and Constitution, areas where she lacked.

Her previous animal forms lacked this type, too.

Having such an animal form could sometimes help her solve certain problems.

Like digging large holes or moving heavy stones—tasks requiring a significant amount of physical strength—she couldn’t do in her own form, but could tackle by shifting into an animal form.

With that in mind, the range of choices narrowed significantly.

Large animals with great strength, yet with relatively agile limbs.

Mu Ying looked over at Gungun, then decided against becoming Gungun Number Two.

Cute as Gungun may be, it lacked an imposing and handsome air.

Mu Ying resolved to find a Big Brown Bear or Brown Bear to learn from.

Once she had an idea, she immediately acted on it.

First, she went to the Tree House in her territory to ask Da Hui and the others.

They were genuinely native animals of the forest and they went hunting every day, even during the dangerous period earlier; they had never stopped.

Upon asking, Da Hui and the others actually had the information.

To the north, there was a forest filled with many fruit trees.

Within it resided a Big Brown Bear that had been brought in from a zoo up north.

After the apocalypse, the zoo was no more, and that Big Brown Bear was free, claiming the Fruit Forest as its own.

Hearing the description of the location, Mu Ying felt very familiar with it.

After asking in detail, wasn’t that the orchard she had passed through on her way to the seed market in the Southern Suburbs of Coastal City?

She had obtained many of her fruit tree seeds there, and the orchard’s original owner, Lin Shang, was now the person in charge of her public planting Sub-camp!

She hadn’t expected it to be taken over by a Big Brown Bear.

When she passed by earlier, there had been no sign of any bears, which probably meant that the bear hadn’t yet made it there at that time.

“How do you know about this so clearly?” Mu Ying asked curiously.

It would be no surprise for the Wolf Pack to know there was a Brown Bear there, given their daily excursions, but it was odd that they even knew it had come from a zoo.

Were bears and wolves able to understand each other’s Language?

“There were a few wolves that also escaped from that zoo and had their eyes on the Fruit Forest, but they couldn’t win it from the bear.

Eventually, they took over a wasteland next to the orchard.

When we were exploring that area, a conflict arose as they tried to draw us into fighting the bear, but we saw through it,” they explained.

Mu Ying noticed that Da Hui’s wolf language was becoming increasingly logical in its expression, signifying its growing intelligence.

Still, Mu Ying was curious about how they saw through the deception.

But Da Hui wouldn’t disclose more, simply advising her that the bear had a sweet tooth.

If she wanted to follow it and learn, it was best to bribe it with something sweet, like the honey bread from Marin’s Bakery.

Taking the advice, Mu Ying not only went to Marin’s Bakery to buy honey bread, but also chose a selection of sweets and a jar of honey.

To learn properly, it was understandable to stay around the bear for a considerable time; paying some tuition fee was appropriate.

Whether these were enough, she mused.

A Brown Bear with a penchant for sweets interested Mu Ying quite a bit.

Since she had no other plans for the afternoon, she gathered her items and rode her broom into the distance.
