I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 370 - 370 362 Early Success of the Meditation Method370: Chapter 362 Early Success of the Meditation Method 370: Chapter 362 Early Success of the Meditation Method One afternoon, fierce winds carrying fallen leaves howled past the outside of the house, causing the studio’s window to be pushed open with a loud clap.

Mu Ying had just completed the final stirring step of the magic potion and looked up towards the window.

Not long ago, the sky had been clear, but now it had turned dark without her noticing.

“Boom!” Lightning tore through the dark clouds, and the thunder was deafening.

“Ding-a-ling~”

The Dingling Flowers on the shelf chimed, it was Lily.

“Yingying, it’s time, come to the seaside!” Lily’s excited shouting came through.

Mu Ying understood what she meant; with the strong winds, it was the time when the ocean tides were most fierce, making it the easiest to sense the Tidal Power — the perfect moment for a first attempt at Tide Meditation.

She had been observing the tides at the beach every morning and evening without fail, and her mind had gained a profound understanding of the image of the tides; she just lacked the opportunity to feel the power of the tides, where the form and the essence of the tide’s power combined, that’s when the effect of the Tide Meditation Method would manifest.

She quickly tidied up the magic potion on her workbench, shut the windows and doors of the Magic Hut, and teleported to the big stone at the beach.

Usually, even during high tide, this big stone would only be submerged by half, but now only a shallow stone surface remained.

Lily was already waiting there for her.

“Just sit here; I’ll use the Water Tide to draw all the surrounding Tidal Power to you, to assist your meditation!” Lily, knowing that time was critical and unsure when such an opportunity would come again, quickly urged her onto the stone.

Mu Ying had just been preparing a magic potion and was still in her lower half of an octopus form.

Perfect for attaching her tentacles to the big stone to avoid being swept away by the tidal waters.

On the big stone, she closed her eyes and stood still, letting the waves repeatedly splash against her.

Combining her initial state of natural sense, she quickly sank her consciousness into her Spiritual Sea and began to spiritually outline the tidal scenes she had perfected over countless mornings and evenings after observing the tides.

At first, with each attempt to outline, it lasted only a few breaths before vanishing, unable to form a complete image.

Suddenly, a mystical force surged in; she felt the tidal chart in her heart suddenly become clear, and the outlining became smoother; unlike the mere shapes of the diagrams before, this time, it was clearly more realistic.

It had a feeling of bringing a drawing to life.

The tidal scene was completed in one go, and simultaneously, her Mana Value, which had been depleted from practicing spells that afternoon, began to climb rapidly and refill.

It wasn’t long before it was fully restored.

Mu Ying felt a surge of fulfillment throughout her body and naturally exited the meditation state.

The initial meditation had ended.

“How do you feel?” Lily saw her open her eyes and quickly swam over to ask.

By this time, a torrential downpour had begun, but the rain dropping on both of them caused no discomfort; the former was of a water-based race, and the latter, having taken a Breathing Potion, was unafraid of water.

“Very good, it was a success!” Mu Ying was extremely excited, having finally succeeded, “How long did I meditate?”

“About an hour,” said Lily after calculating, “But from the moment you started absorbing Tidal Power until now, it’s only been just over half an hour.”

“Does that mean, if I practice the Tide Meditation Method to its deepest level, I can achieve such a fast Mana Value recovery speed?”

Mu Ying remembered that the speed of Mana Value recovery during this first meditation was already the fastest that the Tide Meditation Method could offer her.

Lily indeed nodded confirming her conclusion.

Mu Ying calculated that at this rate, she was recovering about 5 Mana Value points per minute, which was very impressive.

“Thank you, Lily!” Mu Ying hugged Lily, her eight tentacles flailing joyously.

“Hehe,” Lily laughed shyly too.

Hand in hand, they sprinted over the sea, the surging waves seeming to accompany their laughter with its melody.

“Whew!

Haha, I’m tired, can’t swim anymore!”

The two played for a long time until they were exhausted and collapsed on the surface of the sea, drifting with the waves.

The heavy storm meant there was no need to worry about vampires appearing; the water-fearing vampires were probably hiding in their lairs, too afraid to venture out.

“Yingying, I’m hungry, I want to eat grilled clam meat!” Lily poked Mu Ying’s tentacle.

“Grrr~” Mu Ying touched her protesting stomach, “Shall we go to my place and grill it?”

Lily nodded repeatedly, “I’ll go back and get the meat, wait for me!”

With a flick of her tail, she dove into the sea depths.

Mu Ying shook her head, couldn’t swim anymore, it was not close to the shore; she took out the Magic Flying Carpet, climbed on, and continued to lie flat as the carpet raced through the rainy night.

In the brightly lit Magic Hut, Gungun, Da Ming, Little Stone, and the Gem Fairies were making a ruckus.

As Mu Ying swiftly neared the Harbor Camp, Gungun and Little Stone, with whom she had a bonded natural sense, very synchronously ran to the door and sat on the threshold.

Da Ming and the Gem Fairies didn’t have the bonded natural sense with Mu Ying, but they blindly followed the lead.

So, the narrow door threshold was immediately crowded with no gap for anyone to enter.

After Mu Ying reached the Harbor Camp, she withdrew the Magic Flying Carpet and teleported directly to the front door of the Magic Hut, confronted by the kids all lined up waiting to come home, which was quite striking.

Ever since Da Ming arrived, Gungun had developed a sense of competition, and such scenes had occurred more frequently.

Though she had seen it many times, each glimpse still warmed her heart and gave her a sense of security.

Moreover, it was still pouring rain outside today, so those sitting on the threshold were inevitably splashed with some rainwater.

From the small ones’ dampness, it seemed they had just come over to wait; Mu Ying got the hint and privately found it amusing.

She patted each one and used drying magic to toast them dry.

“Go inside and play, we’ll eat together in a while,” Mu Ying shooed them in.

She took out all the ingredients needed for the evening meal from her space; she herself, Lily, and Gungun would all eat the same grilled clam meat, while Da Ming would just have raw clam meat.

Little Stone needed to eat stones, so she picked some Crystal Coral for him to feast on; the Gem Fairies were vegetarians, so she prepared chopped Gill Pouch Grass for them.

In this way, everyone could somewhat agree, all using sea products.

Before long, Lily arrived holding a large shell bowl, sitting in her Crystal Fish Tank, the bowl piled high with fresh Glowing Pearl Clam meat.

Mu Ying took the shell bowl and placed it in the kitchen.

Little Red turned into a Magic Wand in her hand and lightly tapped the cutting board, activating the whole kitchen into a flurry of activity.

The clam meat leaped into a bowl of Recovery Spring water for rinsing, then moved to a cutting board for slicing, after which it was rolled in barbecue seasoning.

The matchbox opened itself and lit the charcoal beneath the grill pan, and a brush dipped in oil coated the grill with a layer, sizzling sounds mixing with the aroma of the meat filling the air.

Lily and Gungun couldn’t help but swallow their saliva.

The other little ones, indifferent to the grilling, sneezed several times.
