The duration of the spell had ended.

The fact that sunlight was filtering into the Blood Crow Nest was something Mu Ying had not anticipated.

It truly was an unexpected benefit.

She had thought that by annihilating the Blood Crows, she would only cut off Sharon’s blood supply, but she had not expected this effect.

It turned out that even those dark clouds feared sunlight, surviving during the day only because the swarms of Blood Crows blocked it.

By this time, it was not much of a problem whether Sharon left the nest or not.

Mu Ying took out the Magic Flying Carpet and stepped onto it, this time without bringing Gungun along.

She first teleported to the Harbor Camp and then flew northward.

Soon, she saw the enormous Blood Crow Nest.

The once omnipresent dark aura hovering above it was dissipating so quickly that it would soon vanish completely.

Even from such a distance, she could already smell the stench of decay.

Upon smelling this odor and taking a closer look at the state of the Corpse Bone Meat Forest, Mu Ying understood why Sharon had been so eager to store blood—the contents here were rapidly rotting.

In the past, approaching the Blood Crow Nest there’d be a stench of decay, but it was more often overpowered by the smell of blood.

Mu Ying’s gaze fell upon the Bone Castle at the heart of the Blood Crow Nest, and this time she flew unimpeded directly above the castle.

Standing at the edge of the Magic Flying Carpet, a large wooden barrel appeared in her hand and dropped straight down towards the Bone Castle.

This was just the beginning.

Seizing the opportunity before Sharon could react, Mu Ying dropped barrel after barrel.

These barrels were specially prepared by her in advance to destroy the entire Blood Crow Nest, especially Sharon’s Bone Castle.

The barrels were particularly thin-walled, so when dropped from such a height, they shattered upon impact, spilling their oily contents.

Mu Ying worked swiftly, dropping seven or eight barrels onto the Bone Castle in just a few breaths.

At that moment, Sharon was in the Underground Palace beneath the castle, packing her belongings.

With no protection for the nest and its high visibility, it was very dangerous for a Vampire, especially since her deep sleep land was located there.

Exposure of the deep sleep land was a fatal blow to a Vampire.

When needing to sleep and failing to do so on time or being disturbed would weaken the Vampire.

Therefore, Sharon was busy transferring her coffin used for deep sleep as well as the soil from her old grave.

Her hearing was also excellent, catching the unusual noise coming from above.

Without even thinking, she knew humans had come to loot amidst the chaos.

Though Sharon was confident in her own strength and, despite the unexpected setbacks from the last few days leading her to pay more attention to Mu Ying, she didn’t believe that a Druid who was one level below her could pose a fatal threat to her in a direct confrontation.

Of course, she couldn’t deny that Mu Ying had some means to push her to this point, but this also just proved that she lacked confidence in her own strength.

Otherwise, she wouldn’t act like a rat in the gutter, not daring to show herself, just waiting for the chance to stealthily bite her.

Now, Sharon was driven into a corner.

Rebuilding such a perfect nest would require a lot of time to accumulate resources, and during this period, she must be extremely careful—the safety of her deep sleep land was critical.

So even though she heard the commotion, she decided to first ensure the safety of her deep sleep land and transfer everything into the Space Ring before going out.

Mu Ying had dropped a few barrels, thinking that Sharon would immediately rush out, so that she could fire Flame Arrows continuously, severely damaging the Bone Castle and provoking her anger.

Anger might still affect her judgment, which would be advantageous for Mu Ying’s impending battle.

After waiting for a few minutes, she still hadn’t seen anyone.

“Could they have already run away?” Mu Ying was somewhat uncertain.

Whether they ran or not, she’d find out by setting the place ablaze; even if there were no one around, this place could not be left standing.

The grease had thoroughly soaked the Bone Castle, and without further hesitation, Mu Ying drew the Green Wood Longbow to its full extent, a fiery arrow taking shape on the string.

With the release of her hand, the arrow sped straight toward the Bone Castle.

“Boom!”

The bone structure was instantly engulfed by the spreading fierce flames.

Sharon had finally finished clearing out the Deep sleep land and as she emerged from the Underground Palace, a wave of heat struck her.

The whole Bone Castle was ablaze, and the inside was so filled with smoke that people were no longer visible.

Sharon squinted, morphing into a Black Crow to burst through a window, escaping the inferno.

The place she had lived in for hundreds of years had been destroyed just like that.

Although she had also planned to abandon it, she hadn’t expected such a violent end.

Glancing back at the sea of flames, she continued flying toward a distant location, her priority now being to find a suitable spot to reestablish the Deep sleep land.

As soon as the Black Crow appeared, Mu Ying locked onto it; she was already familiar with Sharon’s crow form.

What she didn’t expect was that instantly upon its emergence, it had no intention of seeking out the instigator but aimed straight to flee.

Having set up so much, Mu Ying was gearing up for a grand battle with her, so she couldn’t let her get away just like that.

Without a second thought, she took aim and fired a Flame Arrow.

Although Sharon was inclined to avoid battle for now, she was aware there were enemies around and stayed alert.

She dodged the Flame Arrow with a slight sidestep.

The direction from which the arrow came was still empty.

How familiar was this scene?

This was precisely how Mu Ying had attacked her from within the camp.

But now there were no camps around.

And it was highly probable that Mu Ying was there alone.

Another barrage of arrows followed closely, and with a sharp look, Sharon dodged them while closing in on the direction from which they were fired.

Dividing her attention, Mu Ying initially controlled the Magic Flying Carpet while attacking Sharon.

But not only was the carpet’s movement restricted, it affected even the accuracy of her archery.

Far from injuring Sharon, the distance between them closed rapidly.

Mu Ying quickly realized this approach wouldn’t work, abandoning her bow and arrow to focus solely on maneuvering the Magic Flying Carpet to swiftly increase the gap from Sharon.

With no more arrows flying out, Sharon lost track of Mu Ying’s position.

A temporary stalemate ensued between the two.

Mu Ying stopped using her bow and arrow and connected with the natural power to summon eight bird-shaped Essences to encircle Sharon in her crow form.

After the successful spell casting, Mu Ying immediately moved the Magic Flying Carpet to a new position.

Eight bird-shaped Essences, each less than Level 1, posed no threat to Sharon in her true form, but in her crow form, her power was as unremarkable as her appearance, that of a common Black Crow.

Only her intellect surpassed that of the Essences, but relying purely on physical attacks, she stood no chance against these energy-state beings.

Sharon made a quick decision to revert to her human form and used a Flying Technique to stay aloft.
