God's Imitator

Due to the existence of the ’First Player Identity Card,’ Wei Yinzhang did not participate in the voting, so only 9 players actually voted.

But for a proposal to pass, it still needed to reach 6 votes.

According to the original rules, the four players who rotated the identity card would take turns using it. Wei Yinzhang would pass the identity card to Li Renshu after the card’s cooldown recovery and ensure Li Renshu enjoyed these functions for one month.

So currently Wei Yinzhang still held it.

However, this didn’t particularly affect the voting, since Wei Yinzhang didn’t have any particular preference between Cai Zhiyuan and Yang Yuting anyway.

Some people had originally worried that if it came to a 5:4 vote count, things would be more troublesome and might require another vote.

And if someone could get 6 votes, it would most likely be Cai Zhiyuan.

No one expected he would end up with only 3 votes.

Clearly, voting itself was full of surprises. If two to three players had originally planned to vote for Cai Zhiyuan but temporarily decided to change their vote for different reasons, it could also make the results vastly different.

Some players who voted for Yang Yuting were also somewhat surprised by this result. However, since the vote was already in, everyone had to respect this result.

Li Renshu smiled at Yang Yuting and said, ”Congratulations.”

Yang Yuting was clearly also excited by this result. She quickly bowed to everyone to express her thanks.

”Thank you all for your trust! I will fulfill my promise afterward and will continue to work hard!”

Cai Zhiyuan’s expression was somewhat stiff, but he still forced a smile and said to Yang Yuting, ”Congratulations.”

Yang Yuting politely hugged him to offer comfort.

Li Renshu continued, ”Regardless of the result, it was produced by everyone’s vote. I hope everyone can respect this result and also give applause to both candidates.

”After all, no matter who wins, it’s to better unite the community and lead everyone to survive in games and earn more visa time.

”Game core is just a term everyone created. It represents more responsibility than authority. I believe other players in the community will also hold themselves to the same standards as game cores, right?”

Everyone applauded.

”Right, that’s it.”

”So well said!”

”Let’s all work hard together from now on!”

Li Renshu continued, ”Now that the game core has been decided, we should also discuss recruitment next.

”So far, our community has two vacant positions, one male and one female.

”According to the original plan, we can consider recruiting one person using the traditional method, then try to recruit another from another community in subsequent games.

”Or we can choose to recruit both from other communities.

”Let’s discuss briefly.”

Yang Yuting said, ”I think we should first discuss candidates we’ve met in games, right? At least I think Auntie Zhou’s child Shen Xing can take one slot first.

”Although we’re not sure exactly when we’ll encounter her later, we should at least reserve a spot.

”Otherwise, if we encounter her in a game later but the community is already full, that would be troublesome.”

Zhou Guifen looked at her with gratitude.

Li Renshu nodded, ”Mm, this is indeed the first issue we need to consider.

”Regarding Shen Xing’s performance in the game, we mentioned it during our review earlier. Overall, she responded relatively early to Fu Chen’s cooperation proposal without knowing the situation. Although she didn’t have any particularly outstanding performance, she definitely counts as a well-intentioned player.

”I personally agree with Yuting’s view and think we should reserve one spot. When we encounter a suitable opportunity, we’ll bring Shen Xing to our community.

”What are everyone’s thoughts?”

Others also nodded, ”Agree.”

Zhou Guifen was very moved, ”Thank you, thank you all!”

Li Renshu made the decision directly, ”Good, since everyone unanimously agrees, then this matter is settled.

”Additionally, there’s still one male player spot. Overall, there are now three choices.

”The first is like with Shen Xing, wait for a suitable opportunity to recruit Fu Yujun, though someone has already expressed opposition to this plan.

”The second is to recruit using the traditional method, but the specific profession still needs further discussion.

”The third is to consider finding a suitable candidate in subsequent games to recruit to the community.”

Li Renshu looked at Wang Yongxin, ”Brother Wang, share your opinion too.”

Wang Yongxin had clearly already considered this question. He pretended to think for a moment and said, ”On this issue, I actually agree with Cai Zhiyuan.

”I’m more inclined toward the third method.”

Li Renshu wasn’t surprised by this, ”Mm, explain in detail?”

Wang Yongxin explained, ”I completely understand everyone having the idea of ’finding another Fu Chen.’

”After all, with some things, you only know to cherish them after losing them.

”Originally when Fu Chen was in the community, everyone might have taken it for granted and didn’t think such a person was precious. After all, although he was very active and enthusiastic about participating in games before, he didn’t really play any decisive role in games.

”But now suddenly missing such a person, we realize the community has a very large gap.

”But understanding is one thing. We absolutely cannot have the idea of ’finding another Fu Chen.’

”Because whether considering from the perspective of human nature or observing the situation in the New World, people like Fu Chen are extremely scarce. We haven’t seen a second one so far.

”If we don’t acknowledge this point, then no matter how we recruit, problems will arise.

”If we recruit using the traditional method, we might subconsciously look according to Fu Chen’s screening standards, for example, finding a young male outdoor streamer.

”If we use the recruitment method to look, then many people would probably want to recruit Fu Yujun.

”But in either case, we would have overly high expectations of this new member from the start: treating him as Fu Chen, we’d naturally hope he could do the same things as Fu Chen.

”But he definitely can’t do it. After expectations are dashed, perhaps some people will question this decision, or even turn love into hate toward this new member. In any case, this kind of misalignment is very dangerous.

”So it’s best to accept reality, acknowledge that ’there won’t be another player like Fu Chen,’ and not reserve a dedicated spot for a ’Fu Chen-type player’ in the community.

”In subsequent games, if we can find a male player whose abilities are passable and whose views align with our community, we’ll directly recruit him.”

Yang Yuting also nodded, ”Mm, I also agree with this statement.”

Zheng Jie hesitated and said, ”But if we really do encounter a player similar to Brother Fu Chen in a game later, we should still try our best to bring them into the community, right? If conditions are suitable.”

Everyone nodded, ”Of course.”

Cai Zhiyuan, who had been silent, added, ”But we also need to be careful in screening. Sometimes there can be situations of ’great treachery appearing like loyalty.’

”If a certain player deliberately disguises themselves as this kind of persona, they’d definitely be much more dangerous than ordinary players. If this kind of person infiltrates the community, I’m afraid we’d never have peace.”
