God's Imitator

Jiao Hai froze for a moment. He hurriedly looked at his wrist, and his bracelet was perfectly fine, it hadn’t injected poison into his body.

But before he could feel relieved, he suddenly heard the sound of mechanisms grinding near his ear, and at the same time, a sharp pain came from his temple!

”Ahh!!”

Jiao Hai clutched his head with both hands and fell to the ground in agony, yet the mechanism in his head didn’t stop because of this.

The two spiral spikes continued to drill into his brain at a fixed speed!

This method of death was far more painful than death by poison injection from the bracelet. Shrill screams echoed throughout the entire inner field.

After continuing for more than ten seconds, Jiao Hai finally collapsed on the ground, lifeless.

Fu Chen looked at Jiao Hai’s corpse with a complex expression. He opened his mouth but ultimately said nothing.

Peng Xinyuan patted his shoulder, ”This is a game rule, it has nothing to do with you.”

...In the previous round of the game, after entering Liu Jie’s exclusive punishment room, the four of them had all seen the complete rules.

[Punishment: Information]

[Players who enter the room will learn a piece of special information about this game.]

[When the crack on the car pen reaches one-third, there will be an extremely high probability that it will be damaged beyond repair. The player holding the car pen will suffer death punishment.]

[If more than 3 players enter, a broadcast will be made to all inner field players.]

[’When the crack on the car pen reaches three-quarters of the total length, the car pen will have a moderate probability of being directly destroyed.’]

[The above information is false information.]

[However, all players who enter the room are strictly forbidden from revealing the truth and must do their utmost to deceive other players into believing this false information, otherwise they will also suffer instant death punishment.]

After hearing this broadcast information, Jiao Hai had indeed developed some doubts in his heart.

So he didn’t ask Peng Xinyuan, but asked Fu Chen instead.

But what he didn’t expect was that this restriction was made at the game rule level. Regardless of whether Fu Chen wanted to tell him the truth or not, he could only choose to deceive.

This was a punishment at the game rule level for players ’who did not enter the room’.

...

Jiao Hongtao felt a stinging pain in his wrist as a black line quickly crawled along his artery toward his heart.

After signing the ’live and die together’ special contract, no matter what reason caused an inner field player’s death, the outer field player would also suffer instant death punishment.

”How could this be...

”Xiao Hai, no... no!”

Jiao Hongtao never expected death would arrive so suddenly. He looked toward the big screen, where Jiao Hai was also clutching his head with both hands, rolling on the ground in agony.

But Jiao Hongtao couldn’t do anything. He could only look around blankly one last time, then felt dizzy and fell to the ground.

Zhou Guifen turned her face away and stopped watching. She felt somewhat unbearable.

As for the other players, they simply silently moved away from Jiao Hongtao’s corpse, then looked at the big screen again.

...

Shen Xing’s hand was trembling, and the car pen in her hand trembled along with it.

She tried hard to control herself and not look at Jiao Hai’s corpse.

At this moment, the three players Chen Ran, Peng Xinyuan, and Fu Chen had already completed the third map and confirmed it was safe.

But Shen Xing and Liu Jie had not yet.

If they couldn’t complete the third map, they would also face death.

Shen Xing had already had her restriction lifted at the start of this round and had obtained over 20,000 points in funding, and had made major modifications and upgrades to her car pen.

The weight had been greatly reduced, and the ’loss of control’ situation had almost disappeared.

But even so, when challenging, Shen Xing could still feel her hand trembling uncontrollably.

This trembling didn’t come from the car pen’s own defects, but from herself.

This was the final round of the game, the psychological pressure was too great!

Shen Xing wasn’t a player with very good psychological quality. She would tremble and her handwriting would become distorted during exams due to nervousness, let alone in this situation that concerned her own life and death and required even higher precision.

”You can do it!”

Fu Chen and Peng Xinyuan encouraged her in as calm a voice as possible.

Shen Xing felt as if the entire world had slowed down, and she could clearly feel her own breathing and heartbeat, but she still controlled the car pen in her hand as much as possible, completing the track on the map.

”Beep!”

On her second attempt, Shen Xing finally managed to complete the entire map with her car pen, and the special sound effect and the green light that lit up meant that she hadn’t gone out of bounds at the last moment and had successfully completed the challenge.

Shen Xing instantly collapsed in her chair, breathing heavily.

For a moment, she couldn’t even shout in celebration.

However, a moment later, she heard Liu Jie’s voice not far away.

”No!”

Accompanied by a ”beep” sound, Liu Jie’s last attempt had also failed.

She clutched her head in terror with both hands, but the mechanism in her head didn’t react.

This time it was the bracelet.

”No! I don’t want to die!”

Liu Jie shouted desperately, but soon collapsed on the ground, lifeless.

From the start of the game until now, she had always received the least funding. Although she hadn’t been restricted or encountered a situation where her car pen shattered, the performance of her car pen was ultimately still quite lacking.

Moreover, the psychological pressure of the final round of the game was too great. Any tiny mistake, the slightest deviation of the pen tip, would lead to irreversible consequences.

With a ”bang,” the door to Fu Chen’s exclusive punishment room opened.

Now only he remained, so there was no need to choose.

Peng Xinyuan and Shen Xing each stood up and silently followed behind Fu Chen.

Originally, Liu Jie might have been able to help share his burden, but now only three players remained.

They could only hope that this punishment wouldn’t be too dangerous.

However, at this moment, Chen Ran called out to Fu Chen.

”Let me see your hands.”

Fu Chen was taken aback but still extended both hands.

Chen Ran turned Fu Chen’s hands over, palms up, and could clearly see the wounds where the skin had been rubbed raw from pulling the pull ring earlier.

After considering for a moment, Chen Ran said, ”I’ll go with you.”

...

With a ”bang,” the door closed.

Seeing the scene inside the room, Fu Chen was stunned.

Because it was completely different from all the rooms they had entered before.

The ceiling of this room was very, very high, at least over ten meters and in the center of the room were six platforms, each one meter square, neatly arranged in a row.

[Punishment: Fall]

[All players each choose any platform, with each platform limited to one person. After all players climb onto platforms, the game begins.]

[Platforms with players standing on them will continuously rise, with the height of rise related to the number of players.]

[When only 1 player stands on a platform, the default rise height is 8 meters.]

[When multiple players stand on platforms, the height will be divided among them.]

[After the platforms rise to their maximum height, all players jump down from the platforms, and the game is considered complete.]

[Each player will receive visa time according to the rule of ’platform height (meters) × 10,000 minutes.’]

After hearing the game rules, Peng Xinyuan was stunned.

”...Your exclusive punishment is this cruel?”

He bent down and touched the floor of the room. It was a hard surface.

In other words, if only Fu Chen had entered the room alone, falling from a height of 8 meters onto a hard surface would be extremely dangerous, with more likelihood of death than survival.

Of course, the severity of injuries from a fall would be affected by many factors, such as landing posture, a person’s physical condition, and so on.

If someone had poor physical condition and happened to land on the back of their head when falling, even a height of two or three meters could be seriously dangerous.

If they were professionals who could use special movements to dissipate force when landing, they might be fine even falling from a height of seven or eight meters.

But clearly, the players participating in this game had not mastered special parkour or force dissipation techniques.

If one person entered this room, they would almost certainly be seriously injured, and given the community’s medical conditions, would most likely die afterward.

With two people entering, serious injuries could still occur.

Only with three or more players entering would it be relatively safe.

Fu Chen was also somewhat surprised. He had never expected his exclusive punishment would be like this.

The four of them each stepped onto a platform.

A moment later, they heard a ”rumbling” sound from beneath their feet. The platforms continuously rose and finally stopped at a height of 2 meters.
