God's Imitator

Although each person was limited to five minutes, Cai Zhiyuan’s speech was relatively brief, finished in just a few words.

However, when he spoke publicly, aside from reviewing games, he generally didn’t go on at length anyway, so this was in line with most players’ expectations.

Judging from his tone, Cai Zhiyuan was obviously confident.

After all, his performance in ’Simple Q&A’ and ’Self-Selected Game’ was good enough. It could be said he had crushed Yang Yuting, so he only needed to point this out.

Saying too much repeatedly would be gilding the lily and would lose the aura of a strong contender.

Li Renshu looked at Yang Yuting again.

Yang Yuting considered seriously for a moment, then said, ”I think for ordinary players in our community, the most important thing at present is: safety.

”So if I become a game core, I’ll do my utmost to ensure everyone’s safety.”

Yang Yuting paused slightly and continued, ”Visa time is certainly very important, but from the current situation, it also has diminishing marginal effects.

”Currently, our community has basically solved the survival problem. The situation of being deported due to visa time running out almost won’t happen anymore.”Continuing to earn more visa time is mainly to accumulate community funds and unlock more special goods.

”But this obviously isn’t suitable as a primary goal. On one hand, it’s because suitable distribution-type games are rare and can’t be planned for. On the other hand, the visa time needed to unlock goods keeps increasing, so it’s also hard to achieve in one go.

”Overall, as long as everyone can survive in the New World, we’ll always be able to save up the visa time we need.

”Moreover, now we’ve already seen hope: there really is a way to leave here and return to the real world.

”Although the success rate of this method is very slim and can’t be sought after, as long as we persist long enough, we’ll eventually encounter it.”

Hearing this, quite a few players nodded repeatedly.

Relatively speaking, the more capable players were, the more they tended toward accumulating more community funds and activating more goods as quickly as possible. But the more ordinary players were, the less enthusiastic they were about this.

Yang Yuting’s words still resonated with quite a few people.

”From the current situation, judgment-type games and elimination-type games are still the games with the highest death rates and the most dangerous games.

”Moreover, the solutions for this type of game are very different from other game types.

”The role of strategy and calculation in these games is weakened. Instead, a positive and optimistic attitude, the courage to participate in games, fewer obsessions... might play a greater role.

”So far, I’ve also participated in some screening-type or distribution-type games. Although my performance wasn’t particularly outstanding, I’ve obtained returns above the baseline in all of them.

”As for the most dangerous judgment-type and elimination-type games, I should also be one of the players in the community who has participated the most, right?

”Although I don’t dare say I’m ’good at’ these types of games, I think I’ve more or less figured out some tricks. If everyone is willing to choose me as game core, I’ll still try my best to help everyone in this area.

”Of course, even if I can’t become a game core, my promise won’t change.

”I hope everyone can live peacefully and safely in the community, waiting until the day we return to the real world.

”From now, that day may seem very far away, but I believe everyone will definitely be able to wait for it.

”That’s all I’ll say. Thank you all for your support.”

After Yang Yuting finished, Li Renshu took the lead in applauding.

Others also applauded one after another. Of course, this applause should be for both of them, but since Yang Yuting spoke second, she benefited more from it.

Qin Yao said with emotion, ”So well said!”

Yang Yuting waved her hand, ”It’s nothing. Actually, I was just speaking from the heart.”

Li Renshu looked at Cai Zhiyuan again, ”Your previous speech was relatively brief, far from five minutes. Do you have anything to add now? You can add another 30 seconds.”

In debates, the side that spoke first generally had one last chance to add supplementary remarks.

Cai Zhiyuan lowered his head and thought briefly, ”No need, I think. I’ve already said everything I wanted to say.”

Li Renshu nodded and summarized, ”Alright, then today’s discussion ends here.

”For the next two days, everyone rest well and also seriously consider the issue of game core candidates and community recruitment.

”Everyone worked hard!”

Everyone got up and dispersed.

...

The next evening.

Zhou Guifen was alone in the small garden outside the community, staring blankly at the stars in the distant sky.

Although both she and Shen Xing ultimately came through this game safely, after returning to the community, Zhou Guifen still couldn’t help thinking about everything related to Shen Xing.

”Community 5... I wonder what it’s like now.

”I wonder if she’s doing well there.

”Everyone should be willing to recruit that child over, right? But we have to encounter her in a future game.

”I wonder if anything unexpected will happen before then...”

Just then, Zhou Guifen heard someone behind her say, ”Auntie Zhou, do you have time?”

Zhou Guifen turned to look. It was Dai Yifan.

”Of course I have time. I’m just sitting here relaxing.

”Ah, Yifan, did you need something from me?”

Dai Yifan sat down in a seat nearby, ”Actually, nothing special. I couldn’t sleep either, so I came out for a random walk and just happened to run into you.

”I’m still thinking about the voting. It’s so hard to choose.

”I’ve been thinking about it since yesterday and still haven’t completely decided.”

Zhou Guifen thought about it, ”Are you talking about the game core vote? It is a bit hard to choose, but it’s not too bad, right?

”Aren’t you voting for Xiao Cai?

”Did Boss Wang also come talk to you, wanting to canvass for Yang Yuting, which made you hesitate?”

Dai Yifan was stunned, ”Huh? No, he hasn’t.

”Why, did Brother Wang come talk to you?”

Zhou Guifen nodded, ”Mm, Boss Wang came to find me, wanting to persuade me to vote for Yang Yuting.

”I did say I would consider it, but after considering, I think I still have to choose Xiao Cai.”

Dai Yifan asked, ”How did Brother Wang try to persuade you?”

Zhou Guifen thought about it, ”Nothing particularly special. He just chatted about the last game. In the game, Yuting did help me.

”Boss Wang and I don’t usually communicate much, and we didn’t chat too deeply either.

”Oh right, he also guaranteed that if Yang Yuting becomes game core, he’ll also try his best to help Yang Yuting improve her gaming skills, so there’s still a lot of room for growth in the future.

”So in terms of ability, we actually don’t need to worry too much.”

Dai Yifan considered for a moment, ”But from what you’re saying, Auntie Zhou, you’re still planning to vote for Brother Cai?”
