God's Imitator

The other four players couldn’t possibly do this.

Although they could still sign contracts, for this level of cooperation, relying solely on contract constraints wasn’t enough.

Suppose Peng Hong and Liu Mingxin signed a contract to take turns absorbing all of each other’s opposition votes, with the breach penalty being one party’s entire funds.

Then Peng Hong could also consider suddenly changing his mind when Peng Xinyuan had hope of passing the third map. Although he would be forced to compensate all his funds to Liu Mingxin, Liu Mingxin would never be able to find anyone else to absorb these opposition votes. She would be blocked continuously and never be able to turn things around.

At that point, even having more funds would be meaningless.

Therefore, Liu Mingxin couldn’t accept such a risk.

Moreover, to achieve this kind of cooperation, the two players would be blocked in turns. Although rationally speaking, they could save up the funds to transfer to the inner field players together in the next round, emotionally it was hard to accept.

Because no one knew exactly how difficult the third map of the ’track in the picture’ would be. Even being blocked for just one round could possibly result in the final progress just barely not being completed.

So, aside from the absolutely mutually trusting situation of Fu Yujun and Zhou Guifen, other players absolutely couldn’t achieve similar cooperation.

Obviously, in the matter of ’voting,’ there had been a guaranteed winning method from the start. It’s just that to use this method required a rather harsh prerequisite: finding a completely mutually trusting teammate.

Wu Xiaomei considered for a moment and said first, ”5 votes, 5,000 in funds.”

Fu Yujun shook his head, ”No, I’m only selling 4 votes now, 6,000 in funds.

”As for who I’ll buy from next, I’ll treat everyone equally and decide completely based on your bids.”

He paused slightly, ”There isn’t much time left. You’d better make your decisions quickly.”

Jiao Hongtao tentatively asked, ”Then can I...”

Fu Yujun shook his head, ”Sorry, the 18 votes from before were already the result of our limited cooperation.

”If you had come to cooperate with us earlier, we might have considered accepting you.

”But now, we can only handle this as business.”

...

Not long after the fourth round of the game began, the inner field players received more funds.

[Chen Ran obtains 5,050 in funds.]

[Peng Xinyuan failed to obtain funds.]

[Jiao Hai obtains 8,156 in funds.]

[Shen Xing obtains 24,465 in funds.]

[Liu Jie obtains 6,700 in funds.]

[Fu Chen failed to obtain funds.]

[All the above funds have additional usage conditions attached. Please confirm before using.]

This time the funds showed large fluctuations compared to the previous round of the game, but the inner field players didn’t know what had happened and could only accept this situation.

Shen Xing finally let out a long breath. She had been blocked in the previous round, causing her progress to seriously lag behind. Now she could finally catch up a bit by modifying her car pen.

As for Chen Ran, Jiao Hai, and Liu Jie, their funds had all decreased.

This was because Wu Xiaomei, Jiao Hongtao, and Liu Mingxin were forced to give up funds to avoid being blocked themselves.

Wu Xiaomei had the most votes, so naturally she was also forced to pay out the most funds. Although there were still a small number of audience members providing additional supplements for her, she was already starting to run out of steam.

Peng Xinyuan’s progress was still relatively optimistic, so Peng Hong ultimately gave up and became the player blocked this round.

Liu Jie looked at the composition of her funds somewhat nervously, then breathed a slight sigh of relief.

Fortunately, the funds she received this time didn’t force her to use the modification shop again. Instead, they changed to the repair shop and gas station. It seemed the player providing funds had received her message.

Everyone silently completed this round’s ’track in the picture’ challenge.

Peng Xinyuan and Fu Chen both didn’t receive funds. They attempted to challenge the third map and failed without suspense.

Liu Jie, although she received funds and her situation improved compared to before, still failed to pass the third map.

After obtaining funds, Jiao Hai and Shen Xing smoothly passed the second map and finally caught up with most players’ progress.

Just then, Chen Ran let out a long breath.

Although the funds she obtained this time weren’t much, she finally smoothly passed the third map.

And this also meant that as an inner field player, she was already absolutely safe and wouldn’t have any game mechanisms threatening her life anymore.

The other players looked at Chen Ran with somewhat envious gazes.

Although her car pen was the best, she received the most funds, and hadn’t been blocked, all of which could be attributed to luck, through this period of observation, many players also realized Chen Ran was a relatively smart player and very patient.

This was also a key factor in her ability to smoothly complete these high-difficulty maps.

Fu Chen consoled them, ”Everyone doesn’t need to worry too much. Our current progress is actually pretty good. As long as we can pass the third map in the final round, we’ll be safe.”

Everyone sat down in front of the hexagonal platform again to decide through the game who would receive this ’Exclusive Punishment.’

Soon, the result came out.

This time it was Peng Xinyuan’s turn.

Fu Chen was still the first to stand up, ”Let’s go.”

The other players also stood up one after another. Everyone naturally ignored Chen Ran, but this was also normal. After all, Chen Ran had borne the punishment herself. At that time, the other players hadn’t realized the punishment could be shared, so naturally there was no reason to require her to help others share.

However, Jiao Hai didn’t stand up.

Peng Xinyuan frowned deeply, ”You...”

But Jiao Hai turned his head to the side with an indifferent look.

Peng Xinyuan’s face darkened somewhat, ”I knew it... How could I trust someone like you...”

Fu Chen glanced at Jiao Hai but didn’t say anything. He just walked into Peng Xinyuan’s room together with the other players.

This time, there was a long rectangular platform in the room, and behind the platform were six different seats.

In front of each seat were several different buttons.

[Punishment: Production Line]

[Players sit before the production line in order. A button will randomly light up on the first player’s platform.]

[The first player presses the lit button. The second player presses the button after the lit button. Each player presses the button one position after the previous player’s button, and so on.]

[If all are pressed correctly within 10 seconds, it counts as ’Success Once.’ Otherwise, it counts as ’Failure.’]

[The game will last 5 minutes. Completing 20 times counts as ’Passing.’]

[If they fail, each player will have 50,000 minutes of visa time deducted.]

[If passing, each player will receive a visa time reward of ’10,000 × number of players in the room.’]

Fu Chen considered for a moment and hurriedly said, ”Shen Xing, you sit in the first position.”

Based on performance in the previous games, Shen Xing should be relatively less quick-witted among these players.

The first player only needed to press the lit button. They didn’t need to be very fast. What was important was they definitely wouldn’t make a mistake.

The players afterward needed to press the following buttons according to their seat order. If too hasty or not clear-headed, there was still the possibility of failure.

Overall, this was the only game encountered so far where ’the more people, the higher the difficulty.’

If only one player entered, they would just need to sit in the first position and press the lit button. They could succeed almost 100%.

It’s just that the additional reward visa time would be relatively little, only 10,000.

After the number of people increased, although the reward after clearing would increase, the probability of failure would also increase.

However, things had come to this. These four players had more or less established some mutual trust and understanding in the previous games. They hurriedly each sat properly and seriously completed this game.
