God's Imitator

Dai Yifan said again, ”Overall, although this ’Lifting Game’ was also an elimination-type, it was relatively more lenient compared to the ’Shelter Game,’ right?

”Is it possible these two games were made by the same God’s Imitator?”

Zhou Guifen clearly disagreed with this statement, ”Lenient? How is that possible!”

Li Renshu recalled briefly and said, ”The ’Shelter Game’ had a total of 25 inner field players, and in the end only 7 survived, a survival rate of 28%.

”While the ’Lifting Game’ had a total of 12 inner and outer field players, with 5 surviving in the end, a survival rate of 42%.

”Just looking at the number of survivors, the ’Lifting Game’ is indeed slightly higher.”

Dai Yifan added, ”And that’s with the low-probability event of ’Chen Ran’s suicide’ occurring.

”If Chen Ran hadn’t committed suicide, it would have been 7 survivors, with the survival rate over half.”

Li Renshu thought about it, ”So that means even among God’s Imitators who design ’elimination-type games,’ there are those who are relatively less bloodthirsty?”

Wei Yinzhang was silent for a moment, ”But it’s also possible... for the God’s Imitator who designed this game, ’Chen Ran’s suicide’ wasn’t a low-probability event.”Most likely this was the result they wanted to achieve from the beginning.

”If you put yourself in Chen Ran’s first-person perspective, then this game could truly be called a horror game.

”Think about it. Chen Ran had been suffering torture in the real world, and she probably had thoughts of suicide or matricide more than once, accumulating very serious mental and psychological problems.

”But she ultimately hadn’t completely broken down.

”Entering the Gallery was actually a kind of release for her. After all, Wu Xiaomei wasn’t here, so she could start a new life.

”Perhaps at the very beginning, she also felt worried or anxious about life-and-death games, but from her performance in the ’Lifting Game,’ she was very smart with a good mindset, and had most likely gradually adapted to this kind of life.

”Like many players with serious psychological trauma, she was in a state of ’getting by.’

”But after the ’Lifting Game’ started, although she never knew the outer field player sending her funds was Wu Xiaomei, she could still sense something from various clues in the game.

”For example, her exclusive punishment would definitely make her recall the days living with Wu Xiaomei at home, and all the equipment with strictly restricted fund usage could easily trigger bad associations.

”Everything in this game was reflections and metaphors.

”But Chen Ran must have kept persuading herself that this was a judgment game, a test for herself, and as long as she endured it, she could be reborn.

”If Wu Xiaomei didn’t exist in the New World, then after Chen Ran survived this game, perhaps she could completely say goodbye to the past. Although psychological trauma couldn’t be healed, at least it could scab over, sealing and protecting the fear deep in her heart.

”But the moment she saw Wu Xiaomei, all of this collapsed.

”There’s a saying: I could have borne the darkness if I had never seen the light.

”Everything in the game not only made her recall her previous life and reactivated her traumatic memories, but the fact that she won the game in cooperation with Wu Xiaomei made her feel completely desperate.

”Because this meant that even in this godforsaken place called the New World, she still couldn’t escape Wu Xiaomei. She endured the test of the judgment game, but ultimately didn’t heal the trauma in her heart. Instead, she was ’rewarded’ with a reunion with Wu Xiaomei.

”Her original wishful thinking was instantly crushed by the huge gap, becoming the last straw that broke the camel’s back. And the Gallery’s simple instant death mechanism and games with extremely high death rates allowed her to make decisions more decisively than in reality.

”Looking at it from this perspective, this game was too targeted at Chen Ran. Just putting Chen Ran and Wu Xiaomei together would almost certainly achieve this result.

”As for other players, they could only be considered insignificant supporting characters.”

Qin Yao thought about it, ”But in any case, according to the ’Lifting Game’ mechanism, outer field players were relatively safe, right?

”Apart from the ’live and die together contract,’ outer field players could only die from audience accusations.

”But audience accusations have limited attempts, there are penalties for wrong accusations, and only a minority of audience members chose to accuse.

”Even if accused, it’s based on ’most guilty votes’ to execute two players. There won’t be situations like ’execute if over half vote.’”

Wang Yongxin shook his head, ”But thinking that way is a bit ’results-oriented.’ In other words, you’ve already obtained the result that ’the survival rate is higher than the Shelter Game,’ and then work backward to find mechanisms that support this argument.

”The high survival rate of this game also needs to consider player factors.

”Among inner field players, Fu Chen was a variable. Without him, cooperation wouldn’t have been achieved so quickly.

”Assuming the inner field never realized they should share punishments from beginning to end, then Fu Chen, Jiao Hai, and Shen Xing would all have had a high probability of death.

”And among outer field players, Fu Yujun adjusted strategies twice, and Wu Xiaomei stopped calculating opposition votes after confirming Chen Ran passed the third map. This greatly reduced the intensity of competition among outer field players.

”If you removed Fu Yujun and Fu Chen, this father-son pair, and replaced them with others, what the survival rate of this game would be is hard to say.

”In the most extreme situation, the script could even develop like this:

”Inner field players are selfish and unable to achieve cooperation. Just the exclusive punishments alone would kill three people.

”Outer field players block each other, fund transfers are obstructed, and one more inner field player dies.

”They signed the live and die together contract, plus accusations in the final stage, and several more outer field players die as a result.

”Finally, Chen Ran and Wu Xiaomei remain, and the ’super authority player’ rule provides a perfect ending.

”In that case, of the 12 inner and outer field players, at most one or two would survive. In the worst case, everyone might die with no survivors.

”All audience members would have all their visa time deducted and taken away by the God’s Imitator who designed this game.

”This possibility isn’t low. In that case, could you still say the danger level is lower than the ’Shelter Game’?”

No one spoke anymore.

”Alright, the review of this game ends here.”

Li Renshu paused slightly and continued, ”While everyone’s here, let’s also discuss the issue of the ’Game Core.’

”Of course, one discussion might not be enough to reach a definite result, so this time we’ll just have a preliminary discussion where everyone shares their opinions.

”In a couple of days, when everyone’s thinking is more mature, we’ll finalize it through formal voting and proposals.”
