Journey to Planar World

Three days had passed since the evacuation order was issued. All the civilians of Tokai City had been relocated to nearby cities in Aichi Prefecture, such as Toyokawa City, Chiryū City, Komaki City, and others.

With empty streets, deserted buildings, and a chilling silence, Tokai City had now become a dead city. There were no sounds of children playing, no sounds of vehicle engines, just the wind whistling between buildings and the rustling of the steps of patrolling soldiers.

In the city center, the area that had previously been the heart of community activity had now been transformed into a temporary headquarters for the military and scientists from various fields.

Dozens of tents lined up neatly, filled with sophisticated devices designed to investigate the anomaly that had shaken this city. Some areas were surrounded by high fences with tight security, protecting sensitive equipment and specimens that had been successfully taken from certain locations.

The night sky over Tokai City was filled with dark clouds hanging low, creating an even more ominous atmosphere.

The clock at the military headquarters showed 11:58 PM. The soldiers on duty were on high alert, their fingers wrapped tightly around their gun triggers. The headlights from military vehicles illuminated the building rubble that looked like silent witnesses to the previous events.

It was known that every three days, an anomaly would occur in Tokai City every midnight. That’s why the atmosphere was very tense when it was almost 12:00 AM.

In fact, it wasn’t just the Japanese government that was concerned; other developed countries were also monitoring Tokai City through satellite imagery. After all, the MK Virus was the first anomaly in Tokai City, which almost wiped out human civilization. So, it was impossible for other countries to be apathetic towards Japan’s misfortune.

The neon lights of Shinshiro city, which were brightly lit, created their own glow above the building where the boy stood.

The night wind blew gently, swaying the ends of his white hair, which contrasted with the night sky. He stood on the edge of the office building’s roof, looking into the distance as if observing a grand stage where a dark drama was about to begin.

The figure was none other than the Abyssal Devourer, the main perpetrator behind the anomaly in Tokai City.

He showed no emotion other than chilling calmness, almost frightening. He didn’t speak, just glanced at the watch on his wrist.

”It’s time.”

When the hour hand touched the number 12 precisely, the Abyssal Devourer didn’t hesitate to summon another villain.

”Summon.” He said softly, but his voice was full of undeniable authority.

A black magic circle with a complex pattern appeared in front of him. The dark aura emanating from the circle seemed to weigh down the air around it, making the atmosphere on the rooftop feel suffocating.

The magic circle glowed brightly, then collapsed into itself, creating a momentary gravitational pressure before exploding a burst of dark energy in all directions.

After the burst of dark energy disappeared, a young man’s figure appeared. His long, golden blonde hair was tied in a half ponytail, the rest flowing freely. His blue eyes shone, giving a sharp and confident impression. He wore a black robe with a red cloud pattern that looked cool.

”S-Class Rogue Ninja and Akatsuki member, Deidara greets Lord.” Deidara said with a respectful tone that was rarely heard from him.

The head that usually looked up arrogantly was now bowed before the Abyssal Devourer, showing complete obedience.

”…”

The Abyssal Devourer looked at him coldly, his hands folded behind his back.

”I want you to use your best explosion in Tokai City.” He commanded indifferently.

Deidara raised his head, a wide smile of enthusiasm adorning his face.

”Hn. Of course, Lord. I’ll show them the beauty of explosions! Let this world see the art of explosions from a true artist!”

Without wasting time, Deidara took clay from the pouch on his waist. Skillfully, he shaped a large bird using the mouths on both of his palms.

The clay bird grew rapidly, appearing sturdy yet flexible. Deidara jumped onto the bird and, with a light tap, the bird flew, carrying him towards Tokai City.

”Hopefully, Deidara won’t fail. If not… then I’m forced to break the limit to summon ’that’…”

Seeing Deidara’s figure disappear from sight, the Abyssal Devourer turned and left.

Tokai City.

”Do you feel something strange, Aishia?”

Charlie felt uneasy because there hadn’t been any anomalies even though it was past midnight.

”Everything is normal.” Aishia replied flatly.

”Maybe the fourth villain is non-combat like Kihara? If so, it’s more troublesome because we don’t know what kind of disaster he brings.” Charlie speculated.

”Aishia, tell them to hide in the shelter. I have a bad feeling about this.”

”Um. Charlie, be careful too.”

After that, Aishia entered the hiding place. She instructed Ichika and the others to enter the underground shelter.

Knowing it was for their own safety, they were very cooperative. As usual, Aishia guarded them.

”…”

Outside the hiding place, Charlie hesitated whether he should check Tokai City or not. But he was worried that once he left, the enemy would attack.

”Tsk, I hate being in a passive position.”

Deidara stood on his clay bird, which was flying low in the air over Tokai City. The cold night wind ruffled his blonde hair, but disappointment was evident on his face.

”Hn. Art should be appreciated by many people. But here there are only soldiers who will disappear in a flash. Boring.” He muttered with an annoyed tone.

He looked at the rubble of the dead city below, trying to imagine the big explosion that was about to happen. But the lack of ”audience” dampened his spirits.

Still, the Abyssal Devourer’s orders were absolute. Violating orders wasn’t an option; he could only do it whether he liked it or not.

Deidara reached into the pouch on his waist and took out a lump of white clay. Then he unbuttoned his shirt and revealed his upper body.

There was a disgusting mouth with a tongue sticking out on his chest. Deidara took the clay in his hand and attached it to his chest with a formal attitude.

Then the mouth seemed to sense the arrival of the clay and kept licking that mouth, which looked increasingly disgusting.

The mouth on his chest inhaled and ate, and in a short time, it devoured a large chunk of clay.

The strange feeding method was truly nauseating, but Deidara didn’t feel disgusted at all.

In the blink of an eye, Deidara’s body was covered in black lines; his body also became light and airy.

Connecting the black lines was the mouth on his chest, which had now transformed into a large black mass.

The black lines continued to shrink towards his chest.

Deidara’s body also gradually became transparent, and one could see everything behind him through his body.

Finally, all the black lines were covered.

His entire body turned into a black sphere.

The black sphere containing endless chakra was restless at this time, like a pressure cooker, ready to explode at any moment.

”Now, tremble in fear… Be in awe and despair!”

”My most beautiful and brilliant explosion!”

”C-0!”

With Deidara’s scream, the black sphere finally couldn’t hold it any longer.

A burst of light that could blind people’s eyes exploded.

*BOOOOOOMMMMMMMM!!!*

Then the terrifying high temperature, with this as its core, continued to spread. A huge roaring sound, the entire Tokai City shook violently.

Animals, which had a more sensitive instinct than humans, had already fled in fear in all directions a few seconds before the explosion occurred.

But it was all in vain.

The speed of the explosion was truly terrifying.

The explosion covered a radius of 10 kilometers, meaning its diameter was 20 kilometers. All living creatures would be unable to escape death.

As for humans? They could only see a bright light for a moment, and they vanished into nothingness without having time to respond.

A large humanoid explosion. Clouds appeared in the sky, and the roar continued for a long time.
