Journey to Planar World

Family Restaurant.

”Is it delicious, Aishia?”

”Mm.”

While eating the steak with gusto, Aishia nodded.

”The taste of food on Earth is better than in Orario.”

After saying that, Charlie looked out the window and thought about his next plan.

He had spent the whole day gathering information and was taking a break.

How to get money?

For someone who doesn’t care about moral boundaries, it’s not difficult to obtain illicit money. Charlie just needs to hypnotize someone who looks rich to give him money.

”Really, no one expects this peace to end soon.” Charlie muttered in a low voice.

Pedestrians walked quickly as if they were in a hurry, not appreciating every passing second. They didn’t realize that the apocalypse could come at any time if Charlie failed his Quest.

”Whatever the outcome, I’ll always be with you.”

Sensing Charlie’s fluctuating emotions, Aishia stopped eating, then held his hand.

”Thank you, Aishia. Thanks to you, I feel better.”

Warmth filled his heart, Charlie felt he could do anything as long as Aishia was by his side.

”Don’t push yourself, Charlie. To me, you are more important than anyone else. I don’t want anything bad to happen to you.”

”I’ll remember that.”

Their fingers intertwined, both looked at each other with affection, and the atmosphere around them made the single people witnessing their intimate moment feel uncomfortable.

”...”

Recovering his composure, Charlie evaluated the information he had.

Currently, he and Aishia were in Tokai City, Aichi Prefecture. They had even visited Asahiyama High School and the upscale apartment where the Nakano quintuplets lived.

Knowing the location of the target of protection was fundamental.

”This is not a game, there are no second chances. My failure will cause the destruction of the world and countless people will die. It seems I can’t use a conservative method.”

Using Indonesian while speaking, Charlie was not worried about other guests listening to him.

The conservative method he meant was building interpersonal relationships with the target. For example, becoming a transfer student and slowly befriending them. However, he vetoed that idea. After all, he didn’t have much time.

”Abyssal Devourer Type Summoner can summon villain characters five times. I wonder what kind of villains I have to fight. It’s impossible to protect the quintuplets and the protagonist at the same time unless I can use Shadow Clone Technique from the Naruto series... Wait a minute...”

”Didn’t Wang Jian reincarnate into the Naruto World? Should I trade with him? Let’s try this later. The current priority is how to prevent the Abyssal Devourer from killing the heroine and the protagonist.”

”Slurp...”

While sipping the soda in front of him, Charlie pondered for quite a while.

”Compared to preserving the world, their discomfort is insignificant.”

Finally, he decided to use a controversial method.

”Since I’m only one person—”

”Don’t forget, me.”

”Ahem. Only the two of us, it’s impossible to protect six people in different places at the same time.”

Smiling apologetically at Aishia, Charlie corrected his words.

”Then the answer is easy. Just gather them all in one place until I defeat the five villains summoned by the Abyssal Devourer!”

Ichika secretly worked as an actress and often traveled to filming locations, Nino shopped and hung out with her friends, Yotsuba helped the sports club, Itsuki went to the library to study after school was over, and only Miku went straight home to the apartment.

That was a summary of the Nakano quintuplets’ activities based on Charlie’s observations today.

Meanwhile, the protagonist of this world, Uesugi Fuutarou, just like Itsuki, studied in the school library. Before becoming the tutor of the quintuplets, he was just a gloomy man without friends and physically weak due to rarely exercising and only knowing how to study.

Without cloning or incarnation abilities, Charlie couldn’t secretly protect them.

”Will Charlie kidnap them?” Aishia asked lightly, not blaming him for having a criminal idea.

”That’s right. What do you think, Aishia?”

”Since Charlie thinks it’s the best way, I don’t mind.”

Hearing her answer, Charlie felt relaxed. He was worried that Aishia wouldn’t accept him taking illegal actions.

”Then let’s start right away, our time is running out. Gaia mentioned that the Savior is only given one day to prepare. In other words, the Abyssal Devourer could come anytime after today ends, which is midnight.”

It was currently 6:40 PM, Charlie felt that the next day would bring major changes to the world. If he didn’t do anything and only protected the heroine and protagonist from the darkness, he was worried that his Quest would fail.

He trusted his intuition.

”I’m full. What should I do?” Aishia asked, knowing the urgency.

”Use Astral Form to infiltrate the Nakano quintuplets’ apartment. Don’t let them leave the apartment. If any of them want to leave, use hypnosis to make them stay.”

As for Fuutarou, Charlie was sure the other party would only study at home like a nerd. Therefore, he assigned Aishia to guard Ichika, Nino, Miku, Yotsuba, and Itsuki.

”Then what about Charlie?”

”Me? I’ll rob!”

”Understood.”

Aishia didn’t try to stop Charlie from robbing. As she said before, she would always be by his side no matter what.

”...”

After paying the bill, they both parted ways. Aishia headed to the Nakano family apartment, while Charlie went to the shopping mall.

Although he said he would rob, his goal was not money, but a large amount of daily necessities.

Charlie didn’t know how long he would be holding the quintuplets and Fuutarou captive. Thus, he needed supplies.

Clothes, medicines, food, electronic equipment, books, and so on.

He didn’t ignore the entertainment aspect. What if they got stressed and ended up depressed from being bored for a long time?

So, Charlie provided a TV and books for their mental health.

He was a good kidnapper, wasn’t he? He was sure there was no kidnapper who cared more about his victims than him.

”Ridiculous. A former dedicated police officer is going to commit robbery. Really, life is full of surprises.”

Standing in front of the shopping mall, Charlie mocked himself.

The people around him didn’t understand what he was talking about. Moreover, Japanese people were very individualistic, they ignored Charlie.

”Let’s start.”

With determination in his mind, Charlie threw away the integrity he once held in his previous life.

”Huft...”

With a deep breath, he focused on gathering his magical essence in his hand and sent a gentle breeze towards the shopping mall and enveloped the entire area.

About a minute later, the hypnosis effect became clear, everyone stood in place as if they were affected by a stun effect.

Because Charlie didn’t directly touch his target, he couldn’t cast a very strong hypnosis spell and it took some time for the effect to take place, but

Everything went as expected.

”Next stage.”

After that, he set up an illusionary barrier. People outside wouldn’t realize the actual situation happening in the shopping mall. Whenever someone entered the shopping mall area, they would immediately be hypnotized.

Of course, hypnosis wouldn’t affect people with mental strength from spellcasters. Unfortunately, Charlie was a Level 3 adventurer. Based on attributes alone, there was no human on Earth without a power system who could match him.

”Time to rob.”

Entering the shopping mall casually, Charlie started putting anything he thought he needed into his Space-Time Cache.
