Journey to Planar World

”You’re mistaken, I’m not after your money. My reason for kidnapping your five daughters is to protect them from danger, simple as that.”

”Danger?”

Maruo was skeptical after hearing Charlie’s ridiculous reason. It made more sense that the other party coveted the beauty of his daughters.

Twin girls alone were rare, let alone quintuplets. If not for Maruo’s strong background and deep connections with many important people, Ichika, Nino, Miku, Yotsuba, and Itsuki’s lives would likely be miserable.

The five of them would be reduced to toys by immoral rich people.

Knowing the darkness of the adult world, it was no wonder Maruo didn’t believe Charlie.

”Well, that’s a normal response. On the contrary, it would be strange if you believed the words of the person who kidnapped your daughters.”

”Cough… Cough… I’m afraid my life is about to end, as long as you release my daughters, I’ll give you all my wealth.”

Knowing the horror of the MK Virus, Maruo had no hope. Before dying, he wanted to free his daughters from Charlie.

”Really, your affection for your daughters is admirable even though they’re not your biological children.” Charlie praised sincerely.

”Enough… Cough… Cough…”

Seeing him rambling, Maruo was frustrated, causing his condition to worsen.

’In the end, I have to find a method to overcome the MK Virus. Relying on Uesugi Fuutarou as a stallion isn’t enough. It takes more men for humanity to survive this crisis.’ Charlie thought to himself.

He wasn’t a doctor and didn’t have relevant knowledge in the healthcare profession. Therefore, he couldn’t develop an MK Virus vaccine. However, he didn’t intend to rely on science and science from the beginning.

Magic!

The power to utilize supernatural forces to achieve any desired effect.

In short, magic is often beyond the reason and logic of science. Of course, magic isn’t omnipotent, sometimes magic isn’t as good as science.

Whether it’s magic or science, it depends on the practitioner themselves.

”Let’s try my hypothesis.”

A faint mystical light emanated from Charlie’s hand.

”You…”

Seeing the supernatural phenomenon in front of him, Maruo thought he was having delusions.

Ignoring his shock, Charlie placed his hand on Maruo’s shoulder.

”Cura.”

His magical essence flowed into Maruo’s body, giving him a large amount of vitality. Unfortunately, after Maruo’s pale skin turned red like a healthy person, after Charlie stopped sending his magical essence, his body deteriorated very quickly.

”As I expected, it failed.”

Cura was a healing magic from the Seirei Gensouki world, it only restored physical injuries from wounds, but it wasn’t effective against natural diseases caused by viruses and bacteria.

This verification result wasn’t surprising to Charlie. He just wanted to try.

”Who are you really? Are you human?”

Feeling his body recover even for a short time, Maruo felt his view of the world that he had built for decades begin to shake.

After thinking carefully, he realized that the other party was very healthy and didn’t seem afraid of contracting the MK Virus, which indicated that he was most likely immune to the MK Virus.

Previously, Maruo hadn’t thought about this because his condition was weak and his main focus was on the safety of his daughters.

”Me? I’m human. Don’t look at me like I’m a monster.”

Not intending to explain specifically, Charlie continued his second trial.

’If Dea Saint’s healing magic fails, I really have no way to overcome the MK Virus. Then I have no choice but to carry out Plan B.’

Plan B: Capture healthy men who haven’t been infected with the MK Virus and confine them in the basement, thus minimizing their exposure to the MK Virus.

Honestly, Charlie didn’t want to do that. That’s why he made Plan B a last resort.

”Hopefully, this time it works…”

As he spoke, Charlie spread his arms and closed his eyes.

”Healing droplets, tears of light, eternal sanctuary.”

”Compose a medicinal hymn-three hundred, sixty, and five. The melody of the healer’s almanac saves all things.”

”Come, destruction of evil. The burial of wounds, interment of disease.”

”Curses be gone in the light of vitality. In the name of all that is holy – I heal you.”

This was a very long chant.

Under Charlie’s body, a clean white magic circle spun open, causing countless light particles to float out.

”Dia Fratel.”

Although Airmid Teasanare was only Level 2, her reputation wasn’t inferior to First-Class Adventurers. It was all because of her healing magic: Dia Fratel.

Dia Fratel was a high-class healing magic capable of healing anything like wounds, stamina, abnormal resistance, and curses within a 5-meter radius. After being used, the magic would remain behind for a certain period of time as a light barrier, continuously healing anything within its range of effect. This was a very versatile magic. With this magic, as long as the person stood on the battlefield, team members could participate in any battle with almost zero casualties, even if the opponent was a Floor Boss.

Therefore, Airmid was the most valuable talent desired by any team or even army. A healer who could support the entire battle line with just one person. It was precisely because of this ability and value that she was given the title of Dea Saint.

How could Charlie miss out on such powerful healing magic?

With his template talent, Karasuki Rio, who could imitate and apply other people’s magic with Spirit Arts, Charlie had once asked Airmid to use Dia Fratel on him when he visited Dian Cecht Familia’s shop to buy potions.

Of course, it wasn’t free, he had to pay a very expensive healing fee. Even so, he considered it worth it.

Moreover, Charlie was Level 3, stronger than Airmid, who was only Level 2. Therefore, his Dia Fratel was stronger than the original owner.

”T-This…”

Meanwhile, Maruo felt a very warm magical radiance slowly merging into his body, and a warm current like a hot spring enveloped him, making him feel very comfortable.

In a short time, the weakness he felt disappeared. Maruo sat up on the bed, checking his condition.

As a specialist doctor, he knew his physical condition better even without examination with advanced equipment.

”Whew~… It seems Dia Fratel is effectively purifying the MK Virus in your body.”

Seeing Maruo healthy and fit, Charlie breathed a sigh of relief.

”...”

In the silence, Maruo looked at the young man in front of him with a complicated expression. The other party was the kidnapper of his daughters but also had the mystical ability to restore MK Virus patients.

It took a long time to develop a vaccine. However, considering that the MK Virus only infected men, researchers and scientists, who were mostly men, Maruo was worried that all men would become extinct before the MK Virus vaccine was completed.

In other words, Charlie was humanity’s only hope!

”Nakano Maruo, since you’re healed, try checking if your blood has MK Virus antibodies.”

Charlie wasn’t arrogant enough to think he could handle a global-scale outbreak alone even though he had Dia Fratel. In the end, he was just one person, his abilities were limited, and it was impossible to save everyone in the world.

It took collective cooperation from various countries in the world for the survival of humanity on earth.

So, he wanted Maruo to cooperate in accelerating the research on the MK Virus vaccine.

”You don’t need to tell me. Wait here, I’ll go to the laboratory for a while.”

”Okay, I’ll wait.”

Charlie watched Maruo leave the VIP room, intending to wait for the results.
