Journey to Planar World

Learning from his previous mistakes, Charlie stayed up late as the third day passed. He had a feeling that night wouldn’t pass peacefully.

”Charlie.”

”I know, Aishia.”

Without needing further explanation, Charlie already felt the presence of something that was speeding towards him at incredible speed entering his perception.

With the help of Wind Spirit Art, he expanded his perception to a range of 500 meters, like Magic Sense in the world of magic or Divine Sense in the world of cultivation.

”I’ll move the battlefield.”

Before leaving, Charlie asked Aishia to stay and guard the apartment, ensuring the safety of his protected targets. He didn’t want the apartment to become a battleground, so he decided to confront the threat in a more distant location.

”Be careful, Charlie.” Aishia said softly.

”Mm.”

*WHOOSH!*

Charlie shot into the sky at a speed of 500 km/h, using Spirit Art to fly.

While flying, he put on a half-face mask from the Space-Time Cache. It wasn’t an ordinary mask, but a magic item he created through the Development Abilities Mystery. The mask had the ability to obscure the user’s true identity, its function similar to the glasses used by Superman, Clark Kent.

Thus, Charlie could fight without worrying about his identity being known to the authorities. He didn’t want to be hunted by the government, greedy and covetous of supernatural powers.

In the distance, he saw something approaching at high speed.

The figure was a young man who used jet propulsion on his back to fly. His body was filled with mechanical parts that glittered under the moonlight.

”Robot?” Charlie muttered, observing his opponent.

The man slowed down and stopped in the air, observing Charlie with a condescending look.

”So you’re the Savior mentioned by Lord. Seeing you in person, you seem quite ordinary.”

”And you don’t look like a good guy, villain. Thankfully, getting rid of people like you, for some reason, makes me feel better.” Charlie replied coldly.

”Die, loser.”

Without wasting any time, the man, who turned out to be named Shishigami Hiro, immediately raised his right arm.

*BUZZ!*

In an instant, the arm transformed into a huge cannon that immediately fired a blast of bright blue energy towards Charlie.

His sixth sense gave him a warning of mortal danger. Not wanting to be hit by the attack, Charlie, who was already fully prepared, darted to the side, avoiding the attack.

*BOOM!*

A huge explosion hit the ground far below them, creating a large crater filled with dust and smoke.

”This psychopath!” Charlie frowned, and his anger flared in his heart.

The indiscriminate attack destroyed several houses and killed their occupants. Civilians ran out of their homes in panic.

”Hm… Quite fast. But it’s not enough to survive me.”

Without feeling guilty about killing innocent people, Hiro activated the multi-target laser hidden on his back, shoulders, and arms. Dozens of bright red lights locked onto Charlie, creating a deadly pattern in the air.

*SWOOSH!* *SWOOSH!* *SWOOSH!*

*SWOOSH!* *SWOOSH!* *SWOOSH!*

Dozens of lasers launched simultaneously, filling the night air with trails of light.

”Physical Enchant.”

”Wind Divine Protection.”

Charlie strengthened his body’s physical strength, speed, and agility with Spirit Art. He dodged with dazzling acrobatic movements while swinging his sword to cut the approaching lasers.

*SHUA!* *SHUA!* *SHUA!*

The Damocles Sword had Durandal attributes, so lasers, which could easily pierce steel, were not enough to damage it.

’It seems this guy is a modified human, a cyborg. I don’t know what kind of deadly weapons he has. I have to defeat him as soon as possible before the number of casualties increases.’ Charlie thought as he slid closer.

*BUZZ!* *BUZZ!* *BUZZ!* *BUZZ!*

Hiro didn’t give him time to think. His shoulders opened, firing small missiles that sped towards Charlie.

*BOOM!* *BOOM!* *BOOM!*

Charlie used Earth Spirit Art to create a stone wall in the air. The missiles hit the wall and exploded, producing a large shock wave that shook the night air.

”Tsk. You’re quite tough. But it won’t last long.” Hiro grumbled.

With a sudden movement, he activated telekinesis, stopping Charlie’s movement in the air.

”You can’t move now.” Hiro said coldly, aiming the two cannons on his arms at Charlie.

”This is over.”

*CRUSH-BANG!*

However, Charlie didn’t give up. With full focus, he used Spirit Art to create a burst of light energy from his body, breaking the telekinetic force that was restraining him.

”What?” Hiro was surprised to see him escape.

”You’re too confident, brat.” Charlie retorted, swinging his sword, enveloped in lightning energy.

*RUMBLE!*

”ROOOAARRRR—”

A wave of lightning-shaped energy shot towards Hiro, hitting his body and damaging some of the weapons on his back.

”It seems you’re not an ordinary enemy. But I’m not finished either.” Hiro prepared for his next attack.

The sky of Tokai City turned into an extraordinary stage for a mythical battle.

The huge explosion in the air startled thousands of sleeping residents. They rushed out of their homes, watching two figures fight in the sky with abilities they had never imagined.

One figure, a masked man with white hair that fluttered in the night wind, held a sword glowing with electricity, fighting a fully armed cyborg.

Missiles, lasers, and explosions clashed with flashes of elemental energy, creating a scene that was both mesmerizing and terrifying.

”What is that? Superhero? Alien?” An old man muttered with a confused expression.

”Quick, record! This is going to go viral!” A young man shouted, raising his phone.

The world never lacked fools; instead of running for their lives, some people dared to record the fight using their phones.

They live-streamed it through social media. In a short time, the video of the fight spread widely, attracting millions of viewers from all over the world. Japan’s national TV broadcaster, NHK, stopped their midnight program to broadcast live from the scene.

”We’re getting live footage from citizens at the scene. At this moment, Tokai City is witnessing a battle between two beings who appear to be extraordinary.” The NHK presenter reported hastily.

”One is using advanced technology that has never been seen before, while the other seems to be… using magic.”

The news presenter hesitated over what he was saying himself.

In the apartment basement, the Nakano quintuplets, Fuutarou, and his younger sister Raiha were awakened by a strong vibration.

”What is it? Earthquake?” Itsuki panicked.

”No, more like an explosion!” Miku said, familiar with the sound of explosions in games.

Suddenly, Aishia appeared with a calm face, trying to calm them down.

”Calm down. Charlie is fighting a powerful enemy. I’m here to make sure you stay safe.”

”The kidnapper? Fighting? Stop the nonsense. Nothing can convince me that he’s not just a strange man with strange fantasies.” Nino was skeptical as usual.

”...”

However, Fuutarou calmly turned on the TV, feeling that something was unusual. As soon as the screen showed the live broadcast from NHK, all the occupants of the basement fell silent.

The scene on the screen was too incredible to believe. Two figures were fighting in the night sky, explosions and flashes of energy mixed with missile and laser fire, creating a scene like a blockbuster movie.

”That’s… Charlie-kun, right?” Ichika muttered with wide eyes.

”Impossible…” Nino continued to deny, but her eyes were glued to the screen.

Although one of the men was wearing a mask, his white hair was very iconic for those who were confined to the basement.

”So… everything he said all this time was true?” Miku covered her mouth with both hands.

”...”

Aishia just nodded, letting them digest the reality that had just been revealed.

”He… is fighting for us.” Yotsuba said with teary eyes.

”What’s really going on? This is completely unscientific!” Fuutarou felt his view of the world starting to crumble.
