Journey to Planar World

Knowing his opponent had regeneration abilities, Charlie didn’t panic and quickly formulated a plan in his mind.

’Aithra Athanatos…’

Fortunately, he had the ability to counter regeneration abilities, the magic he had obtained from the Grimoire recently, namely Aithra Athanatos: Leaving an incurable curse wound.

Undoubtedly, Aithra Athanatos was the antithesis of regeneration abilities!

’As for the method of dealing with lasers and missiles, dodging alone isn’t enough, it will only cause the attack to miss and hit civilians. There’s no other choice, I have to counter it directly with long-range attacks and have to match the acceleration speed of missiles and lasers.’

After pondering for a moment, Charlie found the solution.

Previously, he had asked Aiz to persuade a member of the Loki Familia, Lefiya Viridis, to demonstrate Arcs Ray in front of him repeatedly until the girl ran out of magic power and stared at him with hatred.

His harvest wasn’t small, after seeing Lefiya repeatedly use Arcs Ray, Charlie mastered it without needing a chant, unlike Dia Fratel which required a chant during activation. After all, he only saw Airmid use Dia Fratel once. Thus, his understanding of Arcs Ray was deeper than Dia Fratel.

Arcs Ray was a light magic that released blasts and could change its trajectory to reach its target. Charlie was captivated when he saw Lefiya using Arcs Ray in the Dungeon.

Although he was thinking a lot in his mind, it was actually just a few seconds in reality.

*SWOOSH!* *SWOOSH!* *SWOOSH!*

The night sky was once again decorated with the dazzling light of explosions and attacks clashing. Hiro’s missiles and lasers continued to hunt his opponent, but this time Charlie didn’t dodge as before. Calmly, he raised his hand.

”Arcs Ray!”

Dozens of yellow glowing magic circles appeared behind him, lined up like a regular star formation. From each circle, energy projectiles shot out at high speed, meeting the incoming missiles and lasers.

*BOOM!* *BOOM!* *BOOM!*

A large explosion occurred in the air, enveloping the battle in a brilliant glimmer. However, none of Charlie’s projectiles missed their target.

Hovering in the air with his jetpack, Hiro was surprised to see this. His previously unstoppable attacks were now neutralized.

”What is this?” He muttered in a cold tone, but his eyes betrayed his surprise.

Without thinking too much, he immediately increased the intensity of his attack. With a swift movement, his back opened up, revealing more missile launchers and mini-laser cannons.

*SWOOSH!* *SWOOSH!* *SWOOSH!*

*WHOOSH!* *WHOOSH!* *WHOOSH!*

In a flash, dozens of new missiles launched, while lasers swept the air in a complex and unpredictable pattern.

”...”

However, Charlie remained calm. With complete control, he directed Arcs Ray to change the trajectory of the energy projectiles so that each of the other party’s attacks was successfully thwarted.

*KABOOOM!*

The collision of energy and explosions decorated the night sky, making the sky of Tokai City look like a heavenly battlefield.

Observing Hiro’s attack pattern carefully, Charlie realized that every movement of the missiles and lasers seemed to be calculated with a precision that was difficult to predict.

’It seems he’s not just a cyborg. His brain has incredible computational capacity. Aside from his trash personality, his fighting power can’t be underestimated.’ He thought to himself.

However, he had one advantage: his magic essence was almost unlimited thanks to the Infinite Essence Skill. No matter how much Hiro increased his attack, Charlie could match it with the quantity of Arcs Ray.

Then, he began to increase the intensity of his attack, releasing more magic circles. Now, not only dozens, but hundreds of yellow energy projectiles shot out from various angles, surrounding Hiro in an attack that was difficult to avoid.

*SWOOSH!* *SWOOSH!* *SWOOSH!*

*SWOOSH!* *SWOOSH!* *SWOOSH!*

*BOOM!* *BOOM!* *BOOM!*

The energy projectiles flew through the air at incredible speed, crossing Hiro’s missiles that exploded before reaching Charlie.

*BOOM!* *BOOM!* *BOOM!*

”...!!!”

Hiro began to feel the pressure. Although he had advanced weapons, his abilities couldn’t match the number of energy projectiles coming from all directions.

’What the hell is this loser? Wasn’t he powerless before? Why is he suddenly outperforming me? No, I don’t believe it! I can’t possibly lose to an ordinary person like him.’ Hiro thought coldly.

*WHOOSH!*

With incredible speed, Hiro spun his body in the air, avoiding most of the energy projectiles. He then raised his arm, which had transformed into a large cannon.

*WHOOM!*

A heavy sound was heard as he fired his energy cannon towards Charlie. A large projectile of bright blue energy shot out at incredible speed, sweeping away all the Arcs Ray that were in its path.

”Shield.”

However, Charlie reacted quickly. With a wave of his hand, he created a magic barrier in front of him.

*BOOOMMM!*

The energy cannon hit the shield, creating a large explosion that shook the air around them. However, Charlie remained unmoved in his place.

’This is my chance!’

*SWOOSH!* *SWOOSH!* *SWOOSH!*

Combining Aithra Athanatos with Arcs Ray, Charlie began to leave curse wounds on Hiro. Every time an energy projectile successfully hit Hiro’s body, the affected body part began to deteriorate and couldn’t regenerate.

”What—?” Hiro began to panic when his arm that was hit by the attack couldn’t recover as usual.

With the mindset that every injury he received would recover with his regeneration ability, he was somewhat lazy about avoiding one or two energy projectiles that hit him.

As a result, now the wound couldn’t be healed even with his regeneration ability!

*SWOOSH!* *SWOOSH!* *SWOOSH!*

*SWOOSH!* *SWOOSH!* *SWOOSH!*

Taking advantage of the moment, with a wave of increasingly intense attacks, Charlie began to press Hiro further.

*SWOOSH!* *KABOOM!* *CRACK!*

Each of Charlie’s attacks created cracks in the cyborg’s body, and the barrage of attacks further narrowed Hiro’s room to maneuver.

”Damn it! I’ll kill you!!!”

With unstable emotions, Hiro blindly created multi-target lasers that shot towards Charlie from various angles.

*SWOOSH!* *SWOOSH!* *SWOOSH!*

*WHOOSH!*

*BOOM!* *BOOM!* *BOOM!*

Charlie dodged again with sharp maneuvers, while directing Arcs Ray to destroy the attack in the air.

Then, he again increased the number of his magic circles, this time creating a more complex combination of attacks. With full force, he fired hundreds of Arcs Ray simultaneously, locking Hiro in an unavoidable storm of energy.

*SWOOSH!* *KABOOM!*

A large explosion occurred when Hiro was hit by most of the attacks. His body bounced back, his body began to crack in several places and couldn’t regenerate due to the curse of Aithra Athanatos.

”If I have to die, you’ll come with me!” Hiro said with hatred.

His mechanical body slowly opened up, revealing the energy core inside that began to glow with bright red light. A holographic screen appeared in front of his face, counting down from 10.

”No good!”

Charlie’s expression changed drastically. The warning from his sixth sense shocked his consciousness that a great danger was coming. He didn’t know what Hiro was planning, but his instincts told him this was an attack that couldn’t be taken lightly.

”Aishia, put up your strongest barrier now!” Charlie commanded through telepathy.

Inside the basement, Aishia, who also felt the extraordinary energy vibration, immediately focused all her strength. Blue-green light began to envelop the basement area where the five Nakano twins, and Fuutarou, and Raiha were.

”Charlie, be careful!” Aishia replied with a worried voice.

”...”

Charlie didn’t have much time to act. He created a layer of barrier around him, but just a few seconds after that, Hiro’s body exploded with destructive power that rivaled a nuclear bomb.

*BOOOOOOOOM—!!!*

Dazzling white light illuminated the night, as if a second sun had appeared in the sky. A powerful shockwave swept through the entire area within a five-kilometer radius, annihilating everything in its path.

”Hold on!” Aishia shouted, her face pale from the immense pressure of the explosion.

After a minute that felt like forever, the light slowly faded. The darkness of night returned, but the scenery below had completely changed.

At the explosion site, all that remained was a large crater tens of meters deep. Not a single building, tree, or living creature was visible. Hot air enveloped the area, making it look like the surface of a barren planet.
