Journey to Planar World

Charlie tried his luck finding the culprit behind the spread of the MK Virus by walking around the city.

There was no other choice. Finding one person without any clues in the city was like looking for a needle in a haystack.

He left Aishia at home, tasked with watching over the quintuplets and Fuutarou so they wouldn’t do anything dangerous to themselves.

While walking on the sidewalk, Charlie strongly felt the changes brought by the MK Virus outbreak overnight. Yesterday, the city was bustling with people walking and vehicles filled the highways. Now, the city was like a dead city with not a single person in sight.

Society was isolating itself to avoid being infected with the MK Virus. Almost no shops were open, and ambulances occasionally sped past on the highway, taking infected men to the hospital.

”That’s not surprising. Most professions require men. The economy almost collapses if they suddenly don’t work at the same time.” Charlie said as he looked around.

Thinking about this, Charlie realized he was racing against time. He had to find Kihara or the members of the UW Japan council who might be involved. Unfortunately, he didn’t know which of them was summoned by the Abyssal Devourer.

”But where should I go?” Charlie looked at the deserted city, feeling confused.

”If only I had artificial intelligence like the Thanatos system, Yui, or Ritsu, this problem would be easily solved. Just hack all the surveillance cameras in Tokai City. Sigh…”

”This is only the first villain, and it’s almost wiped out humanity. There are still four other villains that the Abyssal Devourer will summon every three days. No wonder Gaia offered double the reward, the chance of success in protecting this Planar World is almost zero.”

Charlie could only complain about doing this difficult Quest alone.

Suddenly, a police car stopped near him. A female police officer got out of the car and approached him.

”Hm?” Charlie raised one of his eyebrows.

”Good morning, Sir. Currently, the entire city is under isolation. Please return to your home.”

Seeing the young man in front of her was very handsome, the female police officer felt heartbroken if the other party died from the MK Virus.

”...”

Charlie looked at the woman with a relaxed gaze. Her tall stature and professional demeanor showed dedication even though her face looked tired. After the MK Virus spread, all the male police officers fell ill or died, leaving the female police officers who are now working hard to maintain order.

However, he had no intention of listening to her orders. An idea came to his mind

’Why did I forget this? Isn’t there another way to use surveillance cameras besides hacking? It seems living in Orario has made my mind dull.’

His plan was simple, Charlie would hypnotize the police to help him check all the surveillance cameras.

The female police officer noticed Charlie who seemed to be lost in thought.

”Sir, are you listening to me?”

”Take me to the city’s camera surveillance center.”

”Excuse me? You have to go back home—”

Before the female police officer could finish her sentence, Charlie activated Spirit Art to hypnotize her.

The next moment, the female police officer’s eyes lost their sparkle and her face became neutral.

”Yes…”

Then, Charlie sat in the passenger seat of the police car, while the hypnotized female police officer drove with a flat expression.

The car drove at a steady speed through the deserted city streets. Occasionally, the sound of sirens from ambulances or other patrol cars could be heard in the distance.

”How long until we arrive at the city surveillance headquarters?” Charlie asked.

”About ten minutes.” The female police officer replied in a flat tone, the effect of the Spirit Art’s influence erasing her resistance.

”I see.”

Charlie leaned back in his seat, he hoped the surveillance cameras could find clues about the whereabouts of Kihara or the UW council members who started the spread of the MK Virus.

10 minutes later.

The car stopped in front of a small building that served as the city’s camera surveillance center. Charlie got out, followed by the female police officer.

The building looked more deserted than usual. Inside, there were only a few female staff members busy operating large monitors showing footage from various corners of the city.

Charlie stepped inside, and without wasting time, hypnotized the staff in the room. Their eyes lost focus, and they waited for his orders.

”Play back all the footage from last night. Look for an old woman with short lavender hair.”

”A slender young woman with average height and white skin. She has large light blue eyes, long blonde hair reaching her waist with a hime cut style, and large breasts with a blue heart-shaped emblem with wings tattooed on her left chest.”

”A young woman with long, bright pink, messy hair, blue eyes, and large breasts. An old woman with short, bright hair reaching her neck. A young woman with long, black, messy hair. And a young blonde woman with curly hair that’s also tied up.”

Thanks to Aishia’s help, Charlie identified and remembered the appearances of the six UW (United Woman) members from the Shuumatsu no Harem series.

Meanwhile, the hypnotized staff immediately got to work without hesitation. Dozens of monitors in the room started playing back footage from various corners of the city, showing every activity in the city. Charlie stood in the middle of the room, his eyes watching every footage displayed.

Every time someone in the footage seemed to fit the criteria, the staff would stop the recording and show the details to Charlie. However, after a few minutes of assessment, he shook his head, telling them to continue searching.

After 30 minutes passed, one of the monitors displayed the figure of an old woman with short lavender hair. As soon as he saw that face, Charlie immediately recognized her.

”So, the one who brought the MK Virus to this world is Kihara.”

The woman’s face perfectly matched the anime character in his mind. There was no doubt, this old woman was the source of this problem.

”Where is she now?” Charlie asked, his eyes still fixed on the screen.

”She’s staying at the XXX hotel. Based on the latest footage, she’s still there.” One of the staff members answered.

”I have to hurry before she escapes.”

Not wanting to waste time, Charlie rushed out of the building. As soon as he got outside, he used Wind Spirit Art to shoot into the air. His body rose gracefully, then in an instant, he sped towards the hotel in question at 500 km/h.

*WHOOSH!*

The strong wind hit his face, but he didn’t care. Time was his enemy, and every second wasted gave Kihara a chance to escape.

Less than a minute later, Charlie arrived in front of the XXX hotel.

The luxurious building looked deserted, like other places in the city that were now gripped by fear due to the MK Virus. He landed smoothly in front of the entrance, then entered without hesitation.

Inside the hotel, Charlie approached the reception desk. Quickly, he used Spirit Art to hypnotize the receptionist. After finding out Kihara’s room number, he took the elevator to the 10th floor.

Walking out of the elevator, Charlie stopped in front of room 712. However, before he could open the door, a cold voice could be heard from inside.

”I knew you would come, Savior. Come in, the door isn’t locked.”

Charlie’s eyes narrowed. He didn’t expect the other party, even though she knew of his arrival, instead of running away, she was actually waiting for him.

Not afraid of any schemes and tricks that awaited him, he opened the door.

With his skills, The Chosen Savior, who gave Abnormal Resistance like curses, poisons, instant death, etc. That’s why he wasn’t infected with the MK Virus even though it was floating in the air.
