Journey to Planar World

Time flowed like water that would never return; it had been 30 days since Charlie reincarnated to start a new life in the Danmachi World.

The cause of his reincarnation remained an unsolved mystery to this day. However, he had given up thinking about it without any clues. Instead of overthinking, it was better to focus on living his life to avoid leaving regrets like in his previous life.

That’s why Charlie had been diligently developing his ultimate technique in the last three days. Just like Aiz Wallenstein, his desire to become strong quickly was no less than hers.

After all, he didn’t want to be powerless like in his previous life.

Not finding a suitable location to practice in Orario, Charlie quietly left Orario without anyone noticing. With his flying ability and transparency through Spirit Art, no one realized he had gone.

Speaking of flying, after reaching Level 3, his flying speed increased drastically. Level 1 had a speed of only 30 km/h, Level 2 was 100 km/h, and Level 3 was 500 km/h.

That was almost half the speed of sound!

Based on this data, Charlie was confident that once he leveled up to Level 4, his speed would reach the speed of sound.

He might not be the strongest, but there wasn’t a single adventurer in the world who could prevent him from escaping. Even a Level 7 like Ottar wouldn’t be able to do so. In other words, his life-saving method was unmatched!

Even so, Charlie remained humble and focused on developing quietly.

Day 30.

The Ruins of the Old Shreme Castle was a fortress located in the middle of the plains southeast of Orario. This fortress was built in ancient times and served as a point to stop monsters before the Tower of Babel was created.

This fortress was now in ruins but had once been used by the Rakia Kingdom as a strategic point, so most of its functions were still operational. Therefore, the Ruins of the Old Shreme Castle had become a den for bandits.

Three days ago, karma finally struck the bandits.

A young man with white hair slaughtered all the bandits, not allowing a single one of them to escape alive.

The young man was none other than Charlie Avalon.

As a Level 3 adventurer, facing hundreds of bandits was merely a trivial matter. In fact, anyone who received Falna, even if still at Level 1, could fight off dozens of bandits without breaking a sweat, and if using guerrilla tactics, it wasn’t impossible to wipe out all the bandits in the Ruins of the Old Shreme Castle.

The gap between ordinary people and those who received the blessing of Falna from the gods was enormous!

Of course, some martial arts experts could defeat inexperienced Level 1 adventurers, or Level 2 if their martial arts reached their peak.

But in the end, that was all. Falna was the mainstream that ordinary people couldn’t compete with.

”...”

Under the cloudy sky, Charlie stood still, taking a deep breath. He closed his eyes, gathering his concentration. The essence of magic began to flow from his body into the Damocles Sword, creating a shimmering blue aura along its blade. The air around him changed, as if becoming heavier. Birds flying in the distance turned away, sensing impending danger.

Still with his eyes closed, Charlie murmured words that would help manifest the visualization.

”Through The Cycle Of Rebirth And A Parting Gift, I Bring The Ultimate End With Transformation Of ’Clear Sky’, I Deal The Ultimate Strike. That Which Can Cleave Even Dragons...”

”Sky Clear (Tensei)!”

*WHOOSH*

*SWOOSH*

In an instant, he swung his sword in a vertical motion. A bright blue flash exploded from the blade, shooting into the ground in front of him.

*DUUUUMMM*

The result was extraordinary. A slash line split the ground, extending 100 meters, with a depth reaching 20 meters. A rumbling sound accompanied it, followed by an explosive energy that obliterated the debris of the fortress ruins in its path. Nothing remained along that line, only absolute destruction.

”Huft... No matter how many times I see it, I’m always impressed by what I do myself…”

Looking at the scene of destruction he caused, Charlie sighed in awe.

The technique he practiced was the ultimate move of Wethermon the Tombguard from the anime Shangri-La Frontier.

He had worked hard to imitate Sky Clear, although he hadn’t reached the original’s level yet.

In his expectations, he thought it would take a long time to learn Sky Clear. Unexpectedly, he encountered no difficulties, it was as easy as drinking water. Charlie attributed this to his Prodigy Swordsman skill.

It seemed he had still underestimated the effects of Prodigy Swordsman.

”Sky Clear is indeed powerful, but I haven’t managed to use it without having to recite the Cast Line. In actual combat, the enemy won’t let me finish my preparations.”

”The real world is different from anime; enemies won’t be so foolish as to just watch and wait for their opponent to complete their transformation or magic spell.”

”My problem is the lack of imagination. Imagination is very important in the use of Spirit Art. Sigh... The older one gets, the more they lose their imagination due to facing the harsh realities of the adult world.”

While sheathing his sword, Charlie missed the times when he only thought about playing without worrying about worldly affairs.

”Someone is approaching; could it be another bandit who wasn’t at the fortress during the ’cleaning’?”

His perception sensed a presence approaching him. Charlie looked toward the trees with a cold expression.

After he cleared the Ruins of the Old Shreme Castle of ’bugs’, the next day a group of bandits had just returned after plundering a village, bringing belongings and young women they had kidnapped.

They were quite lucky not to be there because they were working. Unfortunately, their luck ran out when Charlie found them.

Of course, he killed the remaining bandits and escorted the kidnapped women back to their village.

”A woman?”

Charlie’s cold demeanor vanished as he saw that the other party was a woman.

Soft features peeking out from under her hood, reddish-brown hair that looked like silk when touched, her skin was spotless and white, making her appear almost like a celestial being.

Beautiful was a short word to describe her.

She looked clean.

Not that people outside of Orario were dirty or anything, but even though she had just come from the forest path, this woman looked clean as if not a speck of dirt wanted to tarnish her body.

”Is she... a goddess?”

After being separated by only ten meters, Charlie could sense that the other party was indeed a goddess.

It was quite surprising to meet gods outside of Orario. After all, 90% of the gods who descended from heaven gathered in Orario. So it was rare to meet gods outside of Orario.

”Excuse me, young man?” The mysterious goddess said as she reached for her hood and lowered it, and even that simple movement looked graceful.

Her long, walnut-colored hair was neatly combed behind her head, with eyes the color of indigo reminiscent of a sea of stars. She wore a simple kirtle and a long skirt.

She looked at Charlie with warm, azure eyes, full of appreciation.

”Yes, is there anything I can help you with, goddess?”

Observing the goddess’s face in front of him, Charlie didn’t recall her appearing in the first season of the anime.

’Forget it, who knows how many Gods and Goddesses have descended to the lower world. It’s not normal for me to know them all. Even in the original work, not all the gods in the lower world were mentioned.’ He thought to himself.
