”Is it maxed out?” Charlie exclaimed.

He still remembers his last status update, all his parameters were still at rank I.

”I can’t read it.” Nino complained, looking at it with her sister.

”It’s normal. It’s letters from another world.” Aishia said lightly.

”Great! I’ve met the other requirements to level up.” Charlie was very happy to know that he could level up at any time.

There are two criteria for adventurers to level up. The first criterion, one of the basic ability parameters must reach rank D. Of course, people who level up with basic ability rank D are considered weak with low potential. Generally, High-Rank Adventurers in Orario will not level up immediately, but will delay until their basic abilities reach a higher rank.

The second criterion is to achieve a great achievement, which is usually achieved by performing heroic actions or overcoming very challenging situations.

Currently, Charlie has met both criteria.

’The fight against Shishigami Hiro is recognized as a great feat. It makes sense, even among the First Class Adventurers in Orario, only a few of them can defeat him. After all, only Perseus has the ability to fly using a magic item. Against Shishigami Hiro who shoots lasers and missiles in the air, First Class Adventurers can only passively defend.’ Charlie pondered.

Of course, that’s just his personal assumption.

Shishigami Hiro is strong, but not invincible. First Class Adventurers have experience fighting flying-type monsters, so they have special tactics to deal with flying enemies.

However, since Charlie has only lived in the Danmachi World for a month, his interaction with other adventurers is very minimal, which is why his perspective is limited.

’By the way, my Mystery Development Ability went up one rank? Maybe this is related to me often producing magic items.’ Charlie speculated as he looked at the parchment valley in his hand.

It should be noted that the progress of Development Abilities is many times slower than basic abilities!

”Charlie can level up already?”

Aishia’s voice woke him from his contemplation, Charlie nodded.

”Yes, all the level-up requirements have been met.”

”Then, Charlie should level up now. There are still two more attacks left, I don’t know what kind of villains the Abyssal Devourer will summon next.”

Aishia’s concern is not unreasonable. She doesn’t want Charlie to die.

”I plan to do it. I’m worried that my strength is not enough to face the next two villains.”

Under the gaze of Ichika and the others watching, Charlie once again dripped Hera’s blood onto his forehead, he activated The Chosen Savior Skill.

The level-up process only lasted a moment, Charlie could feel his strength increasing exponentially comprehensively. Then, he was presented with two Development Ability options, he had to choose one.

’Blacksmith and Chain Attack... Which one should I choose?’ He thought seriously.

Blacksmith allows the user to add special abilities to their creations. This is a mandatory Development Ability for Forge. Charlie suspects this option appeared because he’s been producing magic items lately.

While Chain Attack is to increase the power of attacks launched continuously. In the face of Shishigami Hiro and Bubaigawara Jin, Charlie used Arc Rays like a machine gun, no wonder this Development Ability appeared.

’Blacksmith focuses on manufacturing, Chain Attack is useful in combat…’

Making magic items is just a side job, becoming stronger is his main goal. So, Charlie without hesitation chose Chain Attack as his third Development Ability.

*SHUA!*

Level 4 promotion successful!

After Aishia attached the blank parchment to his back, Charlie looked at his new status.

It’s a bit disappointing not to awaken a new skill, but Charlie is already satisfied.

It should be noted that the time span from his promotion from Level 3 to Level 4 is only 14 days!

That calculation includes the time he spent in the Gotoubun no Hanayome World for 9 days. When Charlie returned to the Danmachi World, then in the eyes of others, his promotion was only a difference of 6 days!

Even the original protagonist of Danmachi, Bell Cranel, took a month to reach Level 3 to Level 4.

Humans should know when to be satisfied and not greedy. Charlie is already grateful to be able to level up and break the protagonist’s record.

”Congratulations on your level-up, Charlie.” Aishia is also happy.

”I don’t understand very well. Anyway, congratulations to Charlie-san.” Yotsuba smiles broadly, showing her white teeth.

Ichika, Nino, Miku, Itsuki, and Raiha all express their congratulations.

As for Fuutarou, his gloomy personality prevents him from doing what he considers embarrassing.

”Then, I have to get used to my new power. Aishia, be my sparring partner.” Charlie said to Aishia.

In the Danmachi World, every time an adventurer levels up, they need to ”get used to it” because leveling up significantly changes their physical abilities, stats, and the potential of their new skills. It essentially gives them a new level of power that requires adaptation in order to be used effectively in combat and in the dangerous Dungeon environment. This is not simply a simple status increase, but a completely new fighting style that needs to be learned and integrated into their existing fighting style.

Especially Charlie, adaptation is very necessary. After all, every stat in his basic abilities is EX rank. The comprehensive increase he gets is many times more powerful than other adventurers who level up.

”Um, let’s do it.” Aishia nods and doesn’t refuse.

The two of them go to the courtyard in front of the house.

”Are they going to fight?” Itsuki asks worriedly.

”Sparring and fighting are two different concepts.” Nino said, rolling her eyes.

”By the way, this is the first time we’ve seen Charlie-kun fight up close, right? Usually he keeps us away from the battlefield, I can’t miss this show.”

After saying that, Ichika also comes out of the house, wanting to watch their sparring session.

”I want to see too.”

Her hobby is the history of the Warring States Era, Miku wants to see a real fight scene for the first time.

”Let me see how strong that guy is after leveling up.”

Waving her hair, Nino looks arrogant as she follows Ichika and Miku.

Yotsuba and Itsuki, who are left behind, look at each other, both deciding to watch as well.

”Onii-chan, should we watch too?” Raiha asks, looking at her older brother expectantly.

”...”

Hesitating for a moment, Fuutarou shakes his head, not allowing his younger sister to watch violent scenes.

”Raiha, you just watch YouTube Kids.”

”Okay, Onii-chan.”

Although a little reluctant, Raiha obeys her older brother’s arrangement.
