Journey to Planar World

”This is endless… Where is Bubaigawara Jin’s real body hiding? No wonder Hawks was so determined to kill him in the original work. He realized the true potential threat of Bubaigawara Jin.”

Charlie sighed heavily as he focused his gaze on the endless sea of clones appearing below him.

*SWOOSH!* *SWOOSH!* *SWOOSH!*

Every energy projectile he fired from Arc Rays destroyed dozens of clones at once, but their number still didn’t decrease. Fifteen minutes had passed, he didn’t know how many clones he had already destroyed.

”AHHHH!!!”

The screams and cries of the civilians below him continued to echo and never stopped. Charlie tried to filter out all that noise. He focused his sensory energy through Spirit Arts, never stopping his search for Jin’s real body.

*VROOOOOSH!*

However, his efforts were interrupted for a moment when a loud explosion broke the silence of the night. He opened his eyes and saw two of the newest fighter jets, Mitsubishi FX, approaching at high speed.

”Good, finally, the military is acting. That’s easing my burden.”

Initially, Charlie was happy with the arrival of the fighter jets, thinking that the military was finally acting to deal with the clones who were carrying out mass slaughter in Tokai City.

Unfortunately, he had to be disappointed. The target of the two fighter jets wasn’t to help solve the crisis in Tokai City. Instead, they came specifically for him.

*SWISH—!*

His expression turned serious as he realized the first missile was launched directly at him.

”...!!!”

*BOOM!*

A massive explosion lit up the sky as Charlie managed to destroy the missile that was about to hit him with Arc Rays. He hovered in the air, his eyes cold as he stared at the two fighter jets.

”So they consider me an enemy too? Oh well, this is the result of putting hope in others.” He muttered in disappointment.

*SWISH—!* *SWISH—!*

Two more missiles were fired, this time from opposite positions. Both Mitsubishi FX seemed to be trying to sandwich him from two directions.

*WHOOSH!*

The missile had a target tracking system, no matter what maneuvers Charlie made, he couldn’t escape the missile’s pursuit even at a speed of 500 km/h. After all, the missile itself had a speed of 1 Mach.

Realizing his speed was inferior, he counterattacked with Arc Rays to destroy the missiles.

*SWOOSH!* *SWOOSH!*

*BOOM!* *BOOM!*

Explosions echoed again, missile debris scattered in the sky like dangerous fireworks.

”Since you guys started this, don’t blame me for being cruel.”

Not wanting to be passive, Charlie shifted his target to the two approaching fighter jets.

*Tat-Tat-Tat-Tat!*

The sound of automatic gunfire from one of the jets rained down on his position, bullets flying at high speed. However, Charlie maneuvered at high speed. Of course, he couldn’t escape unscathed, several bullets managed to hit him.

”Hisss...”

Sucking in a breath of cold air, Charlie gritted his teeth, enduring the pain of being shot by bullets.

His fight against the two fighter jets wasn’t easy. The pilots flying the Mitsubishi FX weren’t simple, they were the elite among the elite. Thus, their abilities couldn’t be underestimated. Moreover, the Mitsubishi FX had advanced performance and was capable of flying at a speed of 2.25 Mach, which is equivalent to the F-22 Raptor.

It was very difficult for Arc Rays to hit the target.

During the process of Charlie fighting the fighter jets sent by the government to cripple him, the party that suffered the most was the civilians.

Because Charlie was busy, countless clones ran rampant, turning the once prosperous Tokai City into a slaughterhouse.

Of course, the JSDF didn’t just stand by. They sent soldiers, helicopters, and tanks. But it should be remembered that the previous MK Virus outbreak had killed almost 80% of the male population in the world.

Japan has been experiencing a population crisis for decades, most of the men died from the MK Virus, which exacerbated the male population in Japan. Thus, 90% of the military forces consisted of women.

The results of the battle were very disappointing, Jin’s clones easily wiped out the incoming battalion without any meaningful resistance.

*BOOM!* *BOOM!*

The two fighter jets exploded in the air at the same time, a large blaze illuminating the dark night.

”I almost died… Spirit Arts played a crucial role. Without Spirit Arts, if I only relied on the comprehensive enhancement given by Falna every time I leveled up, not a single Level 3 adventurer would be able to go head-to-head with a fighter jet. I have to admit, the power system of the Seirei Gensouki World is superior to the Danmachi World.”

Charlie breathed a sigh of relief. He had almost died several times before, don’t underestimate the power of modern technology!

*SWOOSH!* *SWOOSH!* *SWOOSH!*

Charlie flew among the destroyed buildings, his gaze constantly sweeping the battlefield. Even though he had destroyed countless clones, Jin’s real body was still nowhere to be found.

Sunlight began to appear on the horizon, creating an orange glow in the dark sky. However, the scene of the city below was the opposite of that beauty—blood, debris, and corpses lay scattered everywhere.

*SWOOSH!* *SWOOSH!* *SWOOSH!*

Arc Rays never stopped firing for a second except when facing interference from outside forces. In fact, he had already faced three waves of fighter jets, and destroyed them all.

After the third wave, no more fighter jets came. Maybe the government couldn’t stand the losses they had suffered and decided to give up. After all, each fighter jet cost millions of dollars. After losing ten fighter jets at once, they didn’t want to lose more.

*SWOOSH!* *SWOOSH!* *SWOOSH!*

Charlie glanced at the horizon, seeing the faint shadows of Jin’s clones that were still approaching from all directions. Energy projectiles shot again, destroying the approaching clones. Although the number of clones seemed endless, he continued to persevere, his body moving with extraordinary agility in the air.

However, behind every explosion and scream, there was a feeling of frustration that continued to haunt him.

”Where are you hiding?”

Now, with the sun beginning to illuminate the battlefield, Charlie’s body appeared more prominent in the sky, surrounded by the light of magic circles that continued to fire energy.

”Hm?”

As he thought this situation would continue for the next few hours, suddenly all the clones turned into mud and disappeared.

Charlie found a man in a strange costume lying on the ground with a bloody hole in his back. There was no doubt, that man was Jin, aka Twice!

”Finally this hell is over… This is a bitter victory… It seems I was quite lucky to accidentally shoot Bubaigawara Jin’s real body that was wandering the streets.”

Not only was he not disappointed that this ended anticlimactically, he was actually very happy.

This was expected, if Jin faced Charlie head-on, he had no chance of winning.

”Let’s go back and rest soon.” Charlie said tiredly.

With Infinite Essence skills, he had unlimited magical essence. That’s why he managed to use magic at high intensity.

”...”

Shortly after Charlie’s departure, Jin’s corpse was found by the military, because the clothes were similar to the clones that wreaked havoc in Tokai City, he was immediately identified as the main perpetrator. His body was taken for dissection and research to find out the origin of his supernatural powers.

Not only that, the army evacuated the people who were lucky enough to survive this disaster.

Of course, the bloody tragedy in Tokai City would shock the world once again.
