Journey to Planar World

Charlie slowly opened his eyes, greeted by a sight he never imagined. Instead of his cramped room with a messy desk, he found himself seated on a cold, sturdy, and majestic chair.

Around him was utter darkness—yet strangely, he could see clearly, as if bathed in bright daylight.

His mind struggled to grasp the situation.

’Am I dreaming?’ He thought, glancing around.

Before him, a large round table appeared, surrounded by nine others sitting on similar chairs. Including himself, there were ten people in total—three women and seven men.

What shocked Charlie most was the appearance of the others, all resembling anime characters from his previous life. If this was a normal situation, he would have thought it was a cosplayer gathering.

”This… can’t be, right?” Charlie muttered softly, almost inaudible.

He had a bold assumption. Since he was also reincarnated as an anime character named Karasuki Rio, why couldn’t others be too?

’Could they be like me?’

Charlie never considered himself special. He wouldn’t be surprised if others were in a similar situation.

Then, he looked at the tall backrests behind each person. There, Roman numerals were beautifully engraved. The numbers were sequential from I to X, and when Charlie lifted his head, he found that his chair had the number V.

”Number five, huh?” He murmured, trying to understand the pattern of these numbers.

”...”

The atmosphere in the room was tense. Everyone was eyeing each other cautiously, as if afraid the others would suddenly attack. Only one person remained unaffected by the tension—a black-haired man sitting in chair number VII.

”WHAT’S GOING ON HERE?!”

”IS THIS REINCARNATION AGAIN? I’VE DIED HOW MANY TIMES NOW?! WHO ARE ALL OF YOU?!” The man yelled in a panicked tone.

”...”

Nine people, including Charlie, stared at the hysterical man.

’Now I’m 90% sure my assumption is correct.’

Through the man’s words, Charlie gained crucial information—the others were reincarnated individuals or reincarnators, like him!

”Calm down, young man. Shouting won’t help us understand what’s happening.”

The speaker was a pink-haired woman sitting in chair number I.

”Hmph, loser.” The man in chair number VIII scoffed.

”What did you say?! Who are you calling a loser?”

”Pathetic. Not only are you childish, but you’re also mentally challenged. Truly an eyesore.”

”You!!! Alright, you want a fight, right?! Come here and prove your words!”

The men in chairs V and VIII engaged in conflict, everyone watching without any intention of stopping them.

After all, there were no ordinary people among them. Although the man in chair V seemed temperamental, there must be something that set him apart from ordinary people. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have been chosen.

At this point, everyone could already guess that they were reincarnated individuals just like themselves.

*ZWOOOSH*

Before the two could start fighting, an invisible force suddenly bound them back to their respective chairs. It felt like incredibly strong, unseen hands forcing them to sit down.

”What the—?!” The man in chair VII yelled, trying to resist the force holding him.

However, everyone’s attention was immediately diverted as two female figures appeared in the middle of the round table with a blinding flash of light.

One woman had a cold yet captivating presence. Her long blue hair cascaded down to her ankles, shimmering like ice under the moonlight. Her body was proportionate, adorned in a simple yet elegant white dress that accentuated her authoritative aura.

Beside her, a petite woman with long flowing green hair reaching her hips appeared far more cheerful. Her stature was small, almost like a teenage girl, but her body had a striking uniqueness—her chest was large, creating a contrasting impression with her petite frame.

Whether male or female, everyone seated at the round table was captivated by their extraordinary beauty. Even Charlie, usually very calm, found himself slightly speechless when he saw them.

’These two women are more beautiful than Freya and Aphrodite.’ He thought to himself.

The small woman with green hair smiled widely.

”Welcome to the Void Sanctuary!” She said in a cheerful tone, her voice soft yet full of energy. ”You guys must be wondering what’s going on here, right?”

The woman with blue hair simply glanced at them expressionlessly.

”I am Alaya.” She said coldly.

Her voice was soft but indifferent, as if she were a human who didn’t care about the ants under their feet.

”And I am Gaia!” The green-haired woman continued, waving excitedly.

”We are the reason you are all here. Oh, and also the reason why you were able to reincarnate into another world.”

”...!!!”

This revelation shocked everyone. Some were confused, while others, like Charlie, simply remained silent, calmly processing the information.

’This is not anticlimactic at all. Before I even started searching for the mystery behind my reincarnation, the mystery solved itself. Well, that’s not entirely a bad thing. With this, I don’t need to waste time and energy. On the other hand, nothing is free in this world. Gaia and Alaya wouldn’t be so generous, there must be a reason they made us reincarnate into another world as anime character templates.’ Charlie thought quickly.

”So you two are the masterminds?” The man in chair number IX asked in a flat tone, although his eyes were sharp, observing the two women.

Gaia nodded, smiling sweetly.

”Countless worlds are now facing an unprecedented crisis. A great threat crosses the boundaries of reality, threatening the existence of various worlds in different universes.”

”...”

The room fell silent. Even the man in chair number VII, who was previously noisy, was now listening seriously.

Seeing everyone listening, the smile never left Gaia’s face as if the fate of destruction was not a matter of importance.

”Alaya and I, cannot directly intervene. Our existence is too great to be adapted to the laws of nature in those worlds. Therefore, we recruited you, humans who have died on Earth. You were chosen because of your potential to become Saviors—heroes capable of stopping the destruction and eradicating the enemy who wants to destroy the world.”

A beautiful girl with long blue-purple hair, sitting in chair number IV, slowly raised her hand. Her eyes drew everyone’s attention—her pupils were six-pointed stars that glowed softly according to the fluctuations of her emotions.

”But why did we reincarnate into anime character bodies?” She asked curiously.

’Hoshino Ai…’ Charlie recognized the other party’s anime character template.

In fact, he recognized the templates of the other nine people.
